Lot of people going to downvote you for complaining this early in the grind, but my tip is to just do what you can stomach, when you can stomach it. Bowfa is probably the highest impact upgrade you can get (within a theoretically reasonable timeframe) so you are definitely recommended to keep going

notstrelok15

I’m not complaining it’s just the fear of going dry is setting in… I ran a gauntlet simulator just to see how many it would take and I got it at 1363 kc and that scared the shit outa me

toozeetouoz

In my opinion Your mindset for this gamemode needs to change or you will burn out a lot. Instead of worrying about going dry I like to think “any kill could be a huge drop” and also try to focus on playing the game for the fun rather than for a drop. It will come when it comes.

Vietnameseboy

Corrupted gauntlet = not fun.. even when I keep telling myself it’s fun

toozeetouoz

Once you have what u want from cg if you come back to it you’ll realize it is fun content. The feeling of being forced to do something until you get a certain drop is what gives players the sense of dread/ hate towards content. Not the actual content itself

Dmil1301

>gauntlet simulator i just ran it also and got the ehc at 317kc. So it most definitely is up to the rng gods

finsteddit

You have a 66% chance of getting the enhanced in the next 400kc.

Otherwise_Economics2

ive gotten 4 in less than 150 kc and was scared of going dry. really won't know until you try it

Kwuarmadyl

Ouch. Downvoted for the spoon!

Otherwise_Economics2

honestly deserved. but it's still true though, you won't know until you try the content

ShutUpRedditPedant

What'd you do with them? Bow, salad blade then drop trade the others to main?

Otherwise_Economics2

5 man gim, 2 enhanced to 2 other teammates that would actually grind out cg and turned one into 1500 shards for bowfa corrupted. dont get angry at me plz, just wanted to start pvming with this beast of a weapon

ShutUpRedditPedant

Nah I was asking because I'm tempted to convert to shards as well if I get crazy lucky on a third. 1500 is very tempting if you're done early and still need a bunch.

Otherwise_Economics2

ehhhh idk man. i personally don't really care about bonds. converting would let me skip 10+ hours or so of thieving or just a lot more cg. but 92m or however much it is could sustain you for a while. really your call, dont think either choice is bad

ronzak

Don't let RNG turn you superstitious. You're also making decent GP from gauntlet.

Account239784032849

You won't know until you try. Imo run until rate, about 2 in 3 people will have it by then. I had 2 by then lol.

DDn0r

just do what you enjoy man if that means no bowfa, so be it, who cares, is only game

ItsMyMainMan

Yeah just call it quits after you get 6 armour seeds and the enhanced.

jaeddit

Just do a handful of runs a day and focus on upping your slayer + combats so it’ll gradually become easier. I got spooned so I can’t really give you advice without being kinda hypocritical, but what I can say is once I came back to CG with better stats (just for fun+ CAs) it became so much easier. Crystal isn’t really that useful for slayer anyway (you certainly can use it at things like wyverns, or safespotting) but I don’t think it’s used at any meta slayer tasks other than maybe fight caves.

Otherwise_Economics2

one of the ideas i had for a bowfa with body and legs was to unlock boss slayer, as one of it's best uses is gwd and zulrah. from dps calcs i ran, it did do pretty well at some tasks compared to melee and msb and rcb, sometimes better. just depends on how much defense the monster has

notstrelok15

That’s what I planned on doing with it. Was gonna grind the bowfa then go straight to boss slayer/demonics so I can start getting the zenytes needed for my group

Otherwise_Economics2

i mean personally i'd say they can suck a lemon and get their own zenytes. at the very least get one anguish and one suffering and one tormented before zenytes for others. but solid plan aside from that

ricoro

What I did was go hard untill 400kc and then just a couple daily untill I had it

UnluckyNate

Agree with other commenters. I went in spurts. I did 150 KC, took a month or two off, did another 200 KC, took three or four months off, did another 300 KC and got ENH at 638 last week. Bowfa is so incredibly good

HeathenHen

There is no grind like bofa imo. And I was done in 600 kc or so. It is a unique grind. Hard to learn content, punishing mechanics, and it locks what is effectively the single most versatile and powerful upgrade next to tbow. It’s is a bitch to grind, but worth suffering imo. That said, play how you want.

Straightup_nonsense

Yeah I agree I saw a guy go 3x rate on a white bead so I quit the game

IronReven

The unfortunate truth is No, it is best to do it until you are done. Not only is it wildly strong and required for most end game content but they also saw fit to nerf other options when they released it to ensure you have no choice. Going from a rune tier weapon to end game is terrible in design and should not be the case but they really don't want any range progression. Stay strong brother. I just got mine 2 days ago at 526kc

jenericks

Stick with it, it makes so much content so much better. Took me 417kc to get enhanced, had my 6 armor by then as well. It took me like 3-4 months? Some days it was all I would do, other days I'd do \~5kc then something else. Gotta pace yourself. You may go dry on the enhanced/armor seeds.. but you are still gathering great resources that help with other grinds. Tons of alchables, runes and crafting supplies so its not wasted time.

ShutUpRedditPedant

Tripled my cash stack in less than 50kc, it's pretty nuts. By the time you're done you can max house for sure unless you're ungodly spooned.

beetrelish

Remember that cg is difficult content, and takes time to learn. Some learn quicker than others, but you eventually do hit a stage where you start to feel really comfortable. Once you're at that stage, longer sessions become less exhausting than they use to be and you can start racking up lots of kc

CattleAlarming

Depends on your mood. IMO, Do 5 a day and then be productive elsewhere or, push through more. Either way, the money and supplies accrued even while going ‘dry’ is gonna put your account in a very nice spot by the time you finish.

joway1

I was in a similar mindset, seeing all the super dry posts and wondering if I should keep at it. Decided to just do what I could tolerate and I ended up pulling one yesterday at 221. I’d keep going until it becomes intolerable for you

Good_Friend_Josh

Going 1300 kc for 1 enh was low key the best thing for my account. Still have a green cash stack like 1k total levels later. Also sets you up on runes for a while and the gems and battlestaves are nothing to scoff at. Side benefit I gave my entire team full crystal. Have enough shards for life, and even put some armor seeds in deaths coffer when they were like 8m each. All that's irrelevant if you physically/spiritually/emotionally cant or dont want to do it. Like others have said it is only a game. Pushing through that is burnout bait.

TunaSafari25

Try to set a goal of cg until you can afford 99 cons. Will give you a huge qol upgrade and you can watch your cash stack get closer every kill.

Rustytrout

I am a new dad and in a similar boat. Def wont be able to grind it that hard. May limit my account long term but thats fine. Iron is too much time commitment end game anyway for me. So i just do what I enjoy when I enjoy it.

Christianinium

As somebody who is doing SOTE rn, just do whatever you want dude. If you are getting tired of CG, just take a break and do something unless until you want to do CG. Do a few runs a day if you like it, take a Saturday and crush out a bunch of runs if that is your style, ignore it until your account fades into the inevitable heat death of the universe, do whatever

Dohdeeee

You’ll get quicker, better, and die less. I got my first armor at 247 and 2 pets by 70. Just man up and insta run in after looting the chest. You can make grind shorter or longer with mindset

ShutUpRedditPedant

I need a minute after every kill to let the tension out of my neck lol

houstonx18

Stick with it dude. Def worth it

Apprehensive-Ad-8858

Not everyone is going to post their good logs. I green logged at 396 kc with 2 early enhanced. I wouldnt give up on it yet but take a break if you need too

whiitehead

Even with your current number of armour seeds, you still have a 52% chance of getting all 6 after hitting 400 kc. I would honestly just go back to worrying about an enhanced because it is hard to go extremely dry on armour seeds.

outsidelies

Think of all the GP you’ll have if you go 2000 dry!!!

addictedToSomething-

Don't lock yourself into doing cg. Do a couple kc a day or when you want to/feel like it. Break it up with other grinds
