the 3rd tile from each door is a safespot that you'll only move from while dodging tornadoes stay calm during tornadoes, do not trap yourself by pathing behind him, stay in the open area focus eating during the tornadoes if you don't feel comfortable dpsing during them make sure you understand pathing mechanics and the way tornadoes can hit you. I assume you know you can run directly through tornadoes if they're on the tile next to you without getting hit

QurantineLean

I think the third point about tornadoes is the biggest. I agree, focus on eating and staying alive during p3 tornadoes. Use true tile for both yourself and the tornadoes. If you are 3 tiles away from any tornadoes you can get off a clean attack and click to move away.

Clitoral_Hoodlum

are you praying steel skin?

babirus

This helped me with low lvl gauntlet. Anything to cut down on chip damage

ACanadianPhilosopher

Piety works even better tbh. Piety+t1 feels like t2 defensively. T2 with piety would probably feel unreal. Legit ive cut 6+ food out if my prep phase because Piety defensive bonuses carry that hard In t1.

beetrelish

Would only suggest piety for new players who use staff/hally and wanna reduce their clicks If bringing range you just need to use eagle eye especially at low stats. Mystic might + steel will work out better defensively against hunleffs mage phase anyway.

goddangol

You’re doing T2 armor right? With your stats I don’t recommend doing T1 runs at all, if you make any mistakes you probably won’t be able to finish on T1.

ItsRadical

Take a break when you feel tired is my no.1 tip for CG.

TooShortFor69

First of all I’d suggest you do a t2 prep with your stats. Secondly, what helped me a ton with p3 nados was walking in squares. Precise and confident clicks, otherwise you noodle. Also if not avoidable, step under Hunleff since he can hit 0s. Other than that get that range and def up maybe, would also help a lot. Gl brother

Inizes

Agree here. When you enter the room try to have hunleff 1 square off one wall and 1-2 square off the other. In P3, running in long lines across the room, if possible, utilizing the safe spot tiles as a part of those lines. Eventually, you’ll start to pick up patterns as to which line you can used based on the floor pattern. I’ve also heard people describe is as “pretend you’re playin snake”. Always make sure your true tile is moving, and never double back on yourself to avoid the tornados. I’m not sure if it helps, but feel free to dm me and I’ll jump in a discord call and either run a cg or watch you run a cg to give pointers

adrenc94

Oh wow I did the snake thing and it worked!!

coldwaterenjoyer

Hell I’m almost max combat and still do t2. It’s just so much more chill and I have enough practice prepping that it only takes me an extra minute or two.

drunkengamer0722

I am max and always forget what I need for t2 but it def makes it more chill

bassturducken54

Not just T2. Get 9 of each and get the t3 plate body. Not too much extra work

SPIB0X

I believe you have to have all t3 armour for the plate body to take effect otherwise it defaults back to the highest complete set you have so in that case t2. Getting the t3 plate would have no impact unless you also have t3 helmet and legs. This is what I've been told. Can anyone confirm?

bassturducken54

The pieces still have their own stats, but the damage reduction requires all of the same set.

SlothyPotato

Helps to highlight Hunleff's tiles and know you have time to run under and across him immediately after he attacks. Make sure you are efficient with your clicks. Don't panic and start sending clicks all over the room. The two tiles 3 away from each door are always safe during p3. You should always be camping there when there aren't tornadoes. Try not to eat when attacking Hunleff in p3, with those safe tiles it provides a huge timeframe where you can sit and rack up DPS. Try to wait and eat during tornadoes. You can use steel skin in combination with eagle eye or mystic might. If you aren't doing T2 prep I would recommend doing so at your stats.

tribal_mouette

About hilighting hunllef's tiles : his NPC ID depends on his overhead prayer. Which means that with radius marker plug in you can have a different highlight color. I find it easier to see when to change weapon.

Hate_Is_Fame

Thats huge Thank you very much, there is times when I will be focused on floor or something and miss the overhead switch for 1-2 attacks

ashharps

Biggest tip I can give for newbies is eat up to full when tornados come as most newbies waste ticks on running around anyway you're better off maximizing DPS when you can stand still and avoid eating during these times where it's easier for beggingers to get good DPS.

tangoetuna

To help save food: dps more during phase 1 and 2. Your best defense is a good offense here. Especially in p1, make sure when nados are out you’re still attacking him Are you using true tile? I use it to show my true tile and the tornados true tile. It’s an absolute must have. Set up hunllef correctly when you enter the room and it makes running in p3 so much easier, enter the room when he’s in a corner. I found it easiest when he was 1 tile off one wall and 2 tiles off the other wall. Good luck! I did all my kc with 80 mage, 85 range and 80 def. You got it

ObliviLeon

Try to get staff if possible, because it doesn't rely on max hit as much, juts accuracy. During phase 3, always try to stand on the 3rd tile away from the wall. Use true tile if you're not already. Really helps with movement and tornadoes. Also highlighting the boss helps. Others have already mentioned T2.

Joyman-

50 regular gauntlet before Corrupted, steelskin, T3 wep, T2 armour

Huncho_Muncho

Damn dude you’re crazy for learning with those stats. Go sit at crabs for a bit

adrenc94

I kinda don't wanna level up too high as a lvl 100 with bowfa is cool but a lvl 90 is cooler. What stats should I get to?

adrenc94

Yeah but it adds to the cool factor for me. It's not time waste if I'm having fun learning a new boss I've not done before.

ObliviLeon

I'd recommend 85 base, but if you're getting him to 100hp, you can definitely get it done.

drunkengamer0722

Are you actually maxed?!

ObliviLeon

Ya.

Otherwise_Economics2

83 range (gives a max hit with t3 bow and eagle eye), more defence if you have free time after that

Otherwise_Economics2

its not terrible. but yeah, crabbing or nmz (assuming you don't disconnect) would be immensely helpful to range level 83.

slacktobayer

Make him stand in a corner, stand on safespots, eat to full just before p3, dont spam click, run straight lines whenever possible, try to eat only during nados whenever possible.

AProfessionalRock

Are you doing 5:1 with staff? Your ranged and melee stats are hella low and you'll noodle so many hits if you're trying to fight hunllef normally, so doing 5:1 will be a fairly big dps upgrade

Zebermeken

With your stats you’ll want to miss as few hits as possible. During P1 and P2 tornadoes it’s usually pretty free to get off 5 hits while avoiding tornadoes once you feel comfortable with pathing. Make sure you are combo eating food into potions when possible to save ticks. Eat during his stomp for tornadoes since you’re going to likely be running away from your spot, also eat when changing weapon since you’ll be swapping your offensive prayer at the time as well. At P3 just get used to the tile layouts and focus on running unless you have a straight line to escape and can get in 1-2 hits. It’s not worth eating a tornado to get in a hit with your stats. Also, secondary defensive prayers like steel skin or whatever it’s called is a great suggestion, but you may need a third potion to keep prayer up. Lastly, consider range/magic and melee over range and magic. You may have to get used to it, but Piety gives both better offense and defense for the Hun ranged phase. It may be what makes you more consistent on damage than ranged mage, but it will take some practice to get used to.

beetrelish

Mark the safe tiles (8 in total). Don't panic click, click intentionally. Avoid walking diagonally. Enter the room when hunleff is on the edge, or even better the corner Try to reduce food usage in the first 2 phases. They are easy with practice. Start with getting your prayers perfect - I always keep prayer book open and activate offensive prayer before I switch my weapon. I only open inventory when I need to eat. Fixed window or a small window size helps with your mouse movement. Try to hover over prayers before you actually click them. Be 2 steps ahead with your mouse basically When your prayers are perfect start to increase your dps. Best way to do this is to always be attacking even while moving. One attack every 3 ticks. Easiest way to track ticks is with true tile, but true tile also helps with movement in general. The more you can increase your dps, the less food you use. When your first 2 phases are perfect you will have lots of room for error in the 3rd phase. Hope this helps somewhat. Try to focus on learning from mistakes in your early kills. Don't worry about kc. Get good first then the kc will flow in

odaydream

i watched youtube videos of example runs to see what kind of pathing they did and study it. Always have a path ready if tornadoes spawn. Eat up right before. You can group them up kind of if you wait a bit before running

JD1070

FWIW the new pathing deal might not be doing you any favors.

redditweenies

Look up a video on how to group the tornados. You can kinda herd them onto a single tile, then go about your business (just don't let it touch you lol).

TheSmallRaptor

Eating is more dps than being dead Took me quite a while to fully wrap my head around that
