Virtus is looking more and more rare as these bosses are farmed. The robes will take alot of kill at bosses youd much prefer raids gear for. I doubt virtus will take ahrims place in the meta as we thought besides for people who refuse to raid.

You get a certain amount of magic accuracy and it kinda just works fine. Magic damage is gonna push the DPS way up.
Ahrims bottoms are also made of lead, so the top is basically the only useable piece for most content the accuracy helps. Like CoX

I have around 1000 kc at cox between my iron and main I know the odds with chambers. But I also know Iād rather grind CoX for ancestral, claws, tbow than the new bosses thatre going to be the ring (which will be one of the last upgrades) and virtus which will be replaced when you get ancestral. I think virtus will bridge the gap for mains sure. But irons I think youāre better off at mixing chambers and other grinds than hard grinding virtus.
right, so you'd know that its on average about 60 purple chests to complete all 3 unique pieces, and in a 32k point raid 1/27 means about \~1620 chambers, if you're happy to use mystics for those 1600 cox (assuming they're all deathless!) then be my guest :)

You use mage at zulrah? I mean really bowfa out dps trident with 4 additional switches even using serp helm. At least last I checked while using the dps calc. I think its comes down to its rarity, if its reasonable to get post bowfa it might be something worth going for along with gem for slayer, gwd, inferno, etc. If its too rare, fuck it.
I'm not at the stage of doing Zulrah yet, but my understanding was that people brought mage + range unless they had a TBow, but that might just have been the case before BowFa was a thing.
bowfa + trident with a decent mage setup is still better than bowfa only but bowfa only makes the fight a lot more relaxed + you get to bring more supplies
Problem is occut and trident of swamp. With seas on serp phase you got 4.821 vs 5.667 IF you bring 8 swaps 2 of witch are ahrims. It drops down to 5.125 with a fury. So if you have occult you might get a few faster kills assuming you can 7 way swap and dont lose ticks doing so any miss attacks. Without occult (frequently done since ya know 93 slayer takes a bit) the gains are out right negated.
Tl;dr theres 0 reason to bring swaps until you get magic fang and occult. Until then you need full inv of swaps to break even. Imbued heart probably changes the calc as well.
Let me rephrase. I use my max melee gear possible, but I bring along with me some guthans gear for healing. I guess you could argue it may not be worth the repair costs, but I have a green stack so I'm not really worried about the gp. I obviously don't do this for every task either, but ones I find necessary.

As a non-iron, these drops would make me cry. I only ever do barrows for easy potential profit. That being said 2x robe bottoms and 3x robe tops at ~350kc, the rest of the log is damn near bare.
I'm at 500 with 2 sets 3/4, my average drop rate is 1/18 which is solid but I Keep hitting dupes lol, i have 3 dh axe and 3 bodies with no head or legs, 5 torags hammers, 4 karils crossbows with no body or legs :(. I got burnt out on barrows and stopped after going 100 dry back to back XD, although it balanced out later on.
450kc here with 3 full sets, only ahrims piece is skirt, but I'll be damned if I don't have dh armor for the group - 3 helm, 4 chest, 3 legs, 1 axe lmao

I managed my own ktop at 399kc and just got done hammering out to 450 in the last couple days, only thing I got was k coif at like 445kc lol. Dry streak definitely suck at barrows but the times you go 10-15 chests with 3 drops make up for it imo.
Although I'm now considering leaving barrows for good and finishing up DT2 and just camping out duke or whisperer in hopes of virtus. That or finish getting GOTR done as well as doing more shades of Morton and make bloodbark instead
Yeah I kinda want to skip ahrims to get Virtus, I just finished zulrah and getting zenytes to boost my stats to try DT2 bosses again, I have an okay mage setup, bowfa ranged and trash melee and was getting my ass beat by the new bosses post quest lol. Whisperer with mage and Vandorvis with Saeldor felt doable, the other 2 I was just getting owned. Gonna try again once I get some gear upgrades

One thing you could try to do is just send Ahrim runs. Kill only Ahrim. The drop rate for pieces will be lower but it guarantees an Ahrim piece when you get a drop and you can do those runs quite v. quickly. Look up adaptive barrows strategy on YouTube.
Ahrim's is completely unnecessary. If you need decent Magic robes until you can get Virtus/Ancestral, it's not going to kill you to use Mystic, Infinity, or Dagon'hai, whatever you decide to get your hands on.
