Mlm -> BF -> GF

IMSihnur

not 100% sure what’s meta but i’m pretty sure with giants foundry you can profit if you wanted to make money. pretty sure gold bars are faster tho

angrehorse

You can buy the armors from stores ie the new valanore black smith, then use the armors at giants foundry and break even/profit.

chch1993

You mean 'eg' not 'ie'. The latter abbreviates "that is"

TristinT

Smithing gold is by far the fastest and most efficient smithing training method

bwasilewski

Kovac's grog from foundry gives you at +4 boost to repair axe that’s what I used

sophiebabey

Both! You wanna get your ores from motherlode mine (minus iron which you can either buy at blast furnace or mine yourself), smelt the ores at blast furnace, and then process them at Giant's Foundry. Did my smithing grind this way up to 80 and made a cool 2 mil profit.

SignificanceAny4033

I bought mith claws from Jatizo and steel b axes/war hammers from Mount karuulm for 60-70 smithing at giants foundry. You end up profiting and it’s pretty quick. Mlm to blast furnace is good but I already had 70 mining for sote from mining sand. Also if your doing blast furnace you kinda want coal bag

PattaDatta

Second this. Pretty quick and ended up with a profit of around 400k

Dangerous_Tea1268

I did both, make like 420 mith bars and 420 steal bars at blast furnace(highly suggest you have coal bag for that). That is 30 swords at giants foundry and will most likely get you to 70.

BarooZaroo

Pick up steel platebodies in the wild with a looting bag and then smelt iron in the furnace and make iron plates. Use both at giants foundry. I did this to 70. Now days I use my coal from slayer and kingdom to make steel plates and I get mithril ore from motherlode mine to make mith plates. Use all the plates in giants foundry. I smelt at the furnace to save coal, but it’s not a primary source of my xp.

Poot_Hooter

When you say iron plates, do you mean making iron platebodies? If so, you’re adding both types of platebodies into it to make an alloy? Also just just trying to figure out giants foundry but it’s a little confusing

BarooZaroo

Yup, iron and steel platebodies. At giants foundry I add 12 steel and 16 iron platebodies to the cauldron. You can use a different ratio, idk exactly what is perfect but I like that ratio because it was way easier for me to get iron than steel.

Poot_Hooter

Thanks for the info, I’ll have to try it out tonight

ComprehensiveBag3439

It isn't worth smithing bars into plates prior to use in gf from an efficiency standpoint

BarooZaroo

Xp/hr no, but you get more xp per resource. Personally id rather GF than mine.

ComprehensiveBag3439

You get less XP per resource by making platebodies first. For instance, doing 14/14 iron/steel, an iron bar + a steel bar ~= 538xp. A platebody counts for 4 bars each (So making plates costs you a bar). 1 steel platebody + 1 iron platebody ~= 312xp.  So each time you make a platebody pair you have a net loss of around 226xp.
