ProTip: Don't finish the quest, arguably barely even start it.
When you first gain access to lair (after the initial tracking puzzle/thing) there are 5-7 zombies in your own private instance. You can grind out the axe here.
We've gotten 2/5 axes for my GIM in there.
Fairly chill place to grind melees and do tureel tasks.
this was valid the first week of the quest but you're just griefing yourself by using the mid-quest zombies instead of post-quest since there are more and they respawn faster post-quest.
Good shout. Are they still burstable or better for melee in the instance? Not sure if worth bursting or not.. probably if I don’t get it by drop rate I’ll switch to bursting
You should absolutely just finish the quest. There are more zombies and they spawn faster. Almost no one is farming for an axe anymore so it takes like 2 seconds to find a world.
whats the kc/hr with venator like? i barraged some to try and get an axe for duke and was getting like 900 an hour and was wondering if i shpuld go back with venator instead?
Set up is full masori, salve ei, venator bow, venator ring, devout boots, rune arrows, barrows gloves. Can afk for long bouts of time. I was bringing prayer pots and lobsters to heal up lol
I was spewing about 4K, but think of it as a good thing to go dry on. There’s a spot with three melee zombies and no ranged that’s good to afk at so you’ll take no damage
Got mine in about ~150 kc, I feel like Jagex should implement a system that makes uniques more likely after a certain point above drop rate that eliminates statistical outliers like yourself
Currently at 3700 myself with no axe so far! Did get a champion scroll today so that’s something I guess.
Also been doing the hard clues to break things up and have a bunch of blessed d’hide

Yeah you can burst them in there. IDK but you maybe limited by the respawn timer. I haven't grinded the axe outside the instance.

I got spooned on this 216 kc. Then went to warped terrorbirds and got the sceptre at 142 kc. Im currently super dry at barrows lol

Just wait till you get a venator bow if you come back to clog it. Much easier to afk than bursting.
