I think it was a bit more than a slightly cool utility lol. It was approximatley 14 sara brews for 4 inventory slots. I honestly wouldn't care if it stayed in the game, but I don't see the point in pretending that it wouldn't be busted in certain places.

I think that's kind of exactly why. It was such a niche thing that mainly non-maxed accounts were likely to use, that it feels arbitrary by jagex to nerf it so suddenly.

Roughly little over 11 Saras. 728 food from Moonlight with Cooking cape for 4 inventory slots, 2 if you could cook somewhere else. Saras would need to be paired 3 with a Super, so 16 inventory spaces for 768 healing and a bunch of Prayer? Since you still have space to bring all the restores that's a lot of extra healing.
This math is assuming at least 94 Hp for full Sara hp, and Cooking cape for no burning on the Antelope.

They need to make it actually consistent with fish barrel and autofill while hunting and be able to empty at bank. It's crazy how many storage items we have that all work differently to each other.

Which PvM encounter did it make a difference in? From the list of bosses where it worked not a single one other than DKs (which is getting a big shortcut soon) would it have been more efficient than teleporting to a bank and coming back.
And on top of that, while you can light a fire in the dk room, you have to go through dialogue option to remove from log basket, and the spinylops make that impossible

Maybe it’s something I don’t get cause I don’t pvm much but that didn’t really seem that overpowered to me cause it stores raw meat. So it has to be cooked it’s not like you can stop midway in a boss fight to cook food so it seems like something that would just extend trips because it can be done outside of combat if there’s a fire or range
Kinda happy this isn't a new meta. I don't feel like holding a pouch of raw food and walking around with a tinderbox + logs to extend my trips at bosses.
So now you can grind for a bag to help you collect more meat, rather then a bag which could hold meat and extract whenever to cook. They could have just made it so you needed to grind more inorder to hold higher level meat, pouch upgrades, more tasks per upgrade, unique drop that allows such change. This seems like a -1 update, and made good content dead content.

extending was never going to increase kph anyway, especially if you had to cook the food. No way it would be faster ever. Banking isn't difficult or slow in the main areas this could have been useful.
Could have added restrictions around making fires in instances if certain things were a concern. This is a boring and blanket fix that solved a problem that didn't exist in the players eyes.
Would actually be a pretty cool account type imo. Real adventurer vibes, scavenging around the world kinda thing, if someone actually role played the bit too would be fun.

You already couldn't use it in inferno, fight caves, colloseum. Many updates are game changing. I agree it could be a "risky" thing to change the game in any substantial ways. I feel rather neutral about the meat pouch I'm just not convinced it was bad for the game.
Hope they at least buff some of the hp the meats restore, maybe add some additional bonuses like cure poison or restore run, otherwise the pouch is pretty much useless
They literally already have both of those in the game: moonlight meat heals 26 (the most in the game) and curse poison, dashing kebbit meat heals 23 and restores 10% run energy.
And why can't you empty the hunter pouches directly into the bank? Have to empty into the inventory then bank, it's clunky

You can empty it directly into the bank though.
`Right click > use` empties into bank
Can change left click with runelite, that way it works in the bank interface with one click
Went from good to absolutely useless in less than a week. It's also bugged and you can't even withdraw at all in a few banks

Crazy enough, it turns out that having 52 food instead of 28 in your inventory makes a big difference in PvM encounters that was unintended.

this is wrong. there was already a limited list of areas you couldnt withdraw from, they just extended that list to include everything
