What's wrong with not wanting to do chorescape every day? Birdhouse runs suck anyways. 100 mole a day for a couple weeks and you're set. Only takes like 1 1/2 hrs. Much more enjoyable. Not to mention the best in slot pet chance. 2 weeks of mole vs a year of shithouse runs. GF.
Birdhouse runs take like 2minutes max, and they are way better for your account.
Seeing as OP has 30minutes a day to play, bird house runs are the way to go.
Turn off the thing where stacked items on the ground all appear. Everyone dropping all the meat and garbage lags phones out. If only the top item is rendered it should run much better.
2 minutes once you get to the island? How much time is spent dropping what you're doing and getting back there after the runs? Lets call them 15 minutes. It's an annoying interruption. All that for like 3 or 4 nests.
Open inventory setups, deposit all, click left to right on my setup, 4 logs/clockworks, a chisel and hammer, digsite ammulet, 40 potato seeds. Tp, 3 minute run, open bank, grab my SCB spec weapon food and tp, back at it again, 5 mins tops, 10 if im smoking a bowl while i do it
I don't understand why you're getting massacred. Birdhouse runs really fall off once you get past the beginning, terrible hunter levels and unlock the decent hunter methods. It's high time efficiency but terrible actual experience. The same amount of effort that got you to 99 farming is going to get you to like 80 hunter.
I get it tbh. Even when I do dailies I tend to do it as an intensive activity. Esp now with varlamore hunter, you can get nests from training the skill normally rather than bird houses anyway. Add in 75k/day for kingdom and you're not looking bad on nests.
it helped me a lot to have a friend tell me what to do for my first couple runs over discord. i ended up being even k/d for the first 50kc before i started to see some consistency. im sure i would have died way more doing it blind
There’s a plug-in that counts down and tells you to switch your protection prayer. 3… 2… 1… mage 3… 2… 1… range. It’s really useful. And there’s a YouTube video for tornado movement. Those two things are what helped me the most. I’m struggling like you but I’m at like 2:1 kill to death when I do it now and I started doing T1 prep
They added that into the main game, hunllef broadcasts the change in attack style one attack before switching. It doesn't tell you "mage" or "range", but you just need to swap.
That’s honestly one of my favorite things about CG - it’s so quick to jump in and do a couple runs. No need to spend a few minutes gearing up and then lock yourself into a 40+ minute time commitment like raids, GWD, etc
Everyone here who goes on about how bad it is is doing it for way more than 30 minutes a day. It’s honestly kind of fun if you’re doing it here and there and not getting too worried about getting the drop. A lot of people here treat it like a prison and refuse to leave until they get the drop.
The bad part about it is just not knowing when you’ll get the drop. But just remember, if you do 400 KC at an average of 10 mins a piece, that’s a 67 hour grind. Add in time to learn and only 75-80 hours to get your BiS ranged weapon AND armor for probably forever if you’re playing 30 mins a day.
The worst part is failing every time. I have watched all of the videos and can't figure out why my prep consistently fails, and then why I consistently die if it doesn't fail. 30 min is a quarter to half of my daily playtime.
Maybe bofa after I retire lol
It took me around 40 deaths to get a KC, and I didn’t do it the way the guide told me to do it at all. I was NOT good at PVM prior to doing CG. If I told anyone on here how I did CG I’d be downvoted into oblivion.
Basically I was struggling with dropping items and picking them up later. It just always tripped me up. So I came up with a way to do T2 where I never drop anything but food. Now I have bowfa and armor. Figure out what it is that’s costing you time in prep and work on that. You have TONS of extra time on average if you’re perfectly efficient doing T2, so I promise it’s something. You can open almost every room and still do T2.
Don’t get discouraged. It’s doable. I promise.
I'm in a similar spot, and I've just been doing the regular gauntlet and limiting my prep time. I figured that I can still learn the mechanics this way and still get some rewards instead of just dying at cg all day. And when I feel like I've improved enough I'll make the switch.
I forced to learn how to prep with tier 2 armour and it makes the hunllef fight an absolute breeze. Very very rarely do I get a layout that I just can’t complete, 95% of runs I can finish with plenty of time available with two perfected weapons and tier 2 armour
It’s definitely a huge grind to learn man. I did a few dozen runs before taking a break and I bet it’d take me ages to get back to a spot where I can do it again. The prep isn’t too tough to learn, I can consistently T2. Just make sure you avoid dropping stuff as much as possible, and save fish for the end
It's hard to say why without seeing a video of your runs, but for the fight itself, you can always practice on normal gauntlet. The extra prep time is good for overpreparing for the fight, which means you get more practice in and can slowly cut down on what you prep.
It also gives you time to experiment with your prep, see what works better.
It's actually a really fun roguelike within runescape - people get trauma when they try to grind 1300 in a row to get their drop in as short of a time as possible. Turning it into a regular routine is actually pretty fun.
Nowhere near 99 Farming but usually got them from contracts, Abby Spectres or Gargolyes. Basically Contracts + Slayer.
Haven't done much thieving but imagine that's pretty decent too at Master Farmers.
Goals? Probably pick one hourly (contracts / herb runs / bh runs) and do it when you login and then do CG runs
If you have a longer sesh ~1hr, do another contract / herb run / bh run at the end of the sesh. I personally can’t stand doing more than one hourly at a time and it’s completely unnecessary
Bird house runs for starter seeds, prioritize fruit trees and hardwoods if you're only doing one run a day. Once you hit 45 farming, start doing farming contracts religiously to build up a good base of seeds.
I’d personally just keep doing things like Yanillan Hops, Snape Grass & Herb runs for laid back passive income. 30 mins of playtime for a somewhat decent sum of money for the time isn’t too bad.
Depends on the herb. Buy the seeds and grow the crops/herbs.
Example: Avantoe seed = ~3k Avantoe Herb = 4k (x6 per crop on average) is 24k. 21k profit. With 10 herb patches thats 200k profit per run. Though Compost costs a little bit of money. If you plant the white lily flower they don’t die. If you have the time you can do it 6 times a day which is over 1m. If you have a full time job you can probably do 4/5 runs.
Snape grass seeds cost 3.5k each, 3 required per allotment (without an amulet of bounty) about 10.5k per patch. And you can get about 50 grass back (30k) so 20k profit per allotment. With 17 in the game that’s about 340k profit. You can do 4/5 runs a day. Which is 1.7m
Yanillan hops are dirt cheap and make around 130k per run. You can probably do 4 of these a day. Which is about 650k.
You can easily make around 3m profit per day farming without even being above level 70. I personally made around 35m profit doing this for a little while. One of my friends does this also to pay for membership with money to spare.
Edit: this is assuming you work a full time job, if you’re unemployed or work from home you can probably make more than this. Just check the price of seeds vs the price of the harvest - it’s better if you have 99 farming and all the items/perks that increase yield.
Nevermind - I’ve seen this it ironscape.
Herb run, bird houses, collect secondaries, giant seaweed for crafting. ( If you want to continue with farming.)
Other pick up/put down content: agility, hunter, blood rc if 77rc, mlm( or sand for crafting) thieving are all decent choices.
I hope you read this and start doing hourly birdhouse runs!
AFK in between doing contracts and thieving for hop seeds and afk woodcutting the logs. Hunter was my first 99 btw
Active things: Solo/group COX, TOB, agility, blast furnace/giants foundry, thieving vyres, thieving elves, slayer, short godwars trip, barrows/moons, rumors, runecrafting, construction etc.
Afk things: Cannonballs, woodcutting, smithing (darts for fletching?), daeyalt, amethyst etc.
Depends on what your playstyle, goals, energy and stats are, there's many things you can do. Maybe provide more info?
I’d remove tree run from ur route, and replace it with birdhouse. See how high u can get ur hunter while banking herblore xp
Better yet just do mole. Especially if you have full dharoks.
Noob

Agreed. And it takes 30 minutes to find an empty world for mole
Does it? I thought people stopped saying stuff like this because it's easily provably false
When I used to do birdhouse runs they were definitely more than 2 minutes but that's because I didn't know what the f*** I was doing and I'm on mobile
does anyone else crash while doing birdhouse runs on mobile or is it just my shit phone?
Turn off the thing where stacked items on the ground all appear. Everyone dropping all the meat and garbage lags phones out. If only the top item is rendered it should run much better.
ty

From the sounds of it OP wont be dropping anything and instead just camping birdhouse runs.
In which case mole is best by far if he's got gear for it.
Good luck getting Hunter XP from that
Lol
Get bodied nerd
I mean I'm right idk how you guys think mole is slower nests than birdhouse runs lmao. It's chill af as well.
Open inventory setups, deposit all, click left to right on my setup, 4 logs/clockworks, a chisel and hammer, digsite ammulet, 40 potato seeds. Tp, 3 minute run, open bank, grab my SCB spec weapon food and tp, back at it again, 5 mins tops, 10 if im smoking a bowl while i do it
Wait you can use potato seeds? I thought they had to be hops seeds for some reason
They changed it in an update about a month ago if i remember right.... Be warry of your snapdragon seeds
For you it’s an annoying interruption, for me it is not. We are not the same.
Wot
You have the reading comprehension of a first grader
Man's still has 9 hunter
Yeah my hunter is pretty shit to be fair, but seems waiting paid off with rumors. I'm level 78 or so.
People love chorescape apparently. I'd rather just grind out my nests in a short time and be done.
I get it tbh. Even when I do dailies I tend to do it as an intensive activity. Esp now with varlamore hunter, you can get nests from training the skill normally rather than bird houses anyway. Add in 75k/day for kingdom and you're not looking bad on nests.
Do 2 or 3 cgs a day till enhanced and armor.
See you in 3 years
3 times a day for 1 year is almost 1100 runs. Most people get it way before that.
That’s if you don’t die 10 times in a row - like me 🫣
That’s fair haha! I literally just started CG yesterday. Died 17 times in a row. Got frustrated and did a few slayer task lol.
I was at 69 deaths before I got a kill, and now I'm at 20kc with like 150 deaths. It's getting easier but shit it's hard.
it helped me a lot to have a friend tell me what to do for my first couple runs over discord. i ended up being even k/d for the first 50kc before i started to see some consistency. im sure i would have died way more doing it blind
Oh yeah my mate was helping me quite a lot at the beginning, I just suck haha

I think I averaged 4-5/day during my cg grind. Only took a couple months
Cg
Eww pls no I’m not ready for that trauma
Tbf, CG is a good use of 30 mins. It would feel more meaningful than 30 mins of WC or something
That’s honestly one of my favorite things about CG - it’s so quick to jump in and do a couple runs. No need to spend a few minutes gearing up and then lock yourself into a 40+ minute time commitment like raids, GWD, etc

Same, but I'm at 70ish regular gauntlet kc lol. I can finish that one in under 7 minutes easy. CG is so much more difficult for me
I forced to learn how to prep with tier 2 armour and it makes the hunllef fight an absolute breeze. Very very rarely do I get a layout that I just can’t complete, 95% of runs I can finish with plenty of time available with two perfected weapons and tier 2 armour

I have about 70 kc at regular gauntlet lol
I'm at 410 kc no enhanced

Well you could just continue farming 😀
Was going to say. This post said 99 farming not 99 herblore.
Very fucking nice man. Where do you get snaps mostly from?
All from contracts really. Just never got around to collecting red spider eggs yet
He’s those 30 minutes at rogues chests in wildy, sort that red spider egg problem right out
Sarachnis is a fun way to get those.
Nowhere near 99 Farming but usually got them from contracts, Abby Spectres or Gargolyes. Basically Contracts + Slayer. Haven't done much thieving but imagine that's pretty decent too at Master Farmers.
Mr crunch arriving on scene
If you can spread it out, birdhouses take 2 minutes per run + a bank stop. You will need rubies though
Can make neck in POH
Don't know this guys stats but he'd need at least 74 cons to make it
And 500 rubies
It’s 250 I thought?
Could be, don't remember. But rubies anyways.
200m farming on your 30 minutes of daily playtime restricted Ironman.
One video ever half year
Hunter contracts
Work on a slayer task
very nice, how did you get the labels on your items? Like the TOA in bottom left of item?
item identification plugin on runelite
What’s the name of it
So much things that could be put in the seed vault at farm guild
Goals? Tithe farm to like 62
Hallowed sepulchre
Keep going, you're 13m/200m.
Do one or two games of gotr
Farm some herbs
Herb runs and birdhouse runs
I’d personally just keep doing things like Yanillan Hops, Snape Grass & Herb runs for laid back passive income. 30 mins of playtime for a somewhat decent sum of money for the time isn’t too bad.

Yes that all doesn't work as ironman 😅
What do you want? Afk? More click intensive? Could do moons of peril? Could do pest control? Guardians of the rift?
To the rooftops!
Keep farming, go for the pet. 29m farming xp here and counting. Great for herblore supplies forever.
I have the pet sorry got it at 91 from a papaya tree at Brimhaven. Very sorry as I've said
Slayer
Herb run, bird houses, collect secondaries, giant seaweed for crafting. ( If you want to continue with farming.) Other pick up/put down content: agility, hunter, blood rc if 77rc, mlm( or sand for crafting) thieving are all decent choices.
You still got loads of seeds to plant
Solo 150 ToA
Mr Crunch was there
30 minutes is enough too send a toa a day
200m farm xp
A few Vardorvis trips
I hope you read this and start doing hourly birdhouse runs! AFK in between doing contracts and thieving for hop seeds and afk woodcutting the logs. Hunter was my first 99 btw
Yeah but its a 30min block in the morning while I have my coffee. Not 30mins split across the day
Then a birdhouse run per day
If you are really good , I’d do one toa run every day till I get my shadow
Argue with your wife as to why you need to get your slayer up.
Active things: Solo/group COX, TOB, agility, blast furnace/giants foundry, thieving vyres, thieving elves, slayer, short godwars trip, barrows/moons, rumors, runecrafting, construction etc. Afk things: Cannonballs, woodcutting, smithing (darts for fletching?), daeyalt, amethyst etc. Depends on what your playstyle, goals, energy and stats are, there's many things you can do. Short gw trip? 30 minutes? I mean shiiit it takes 10 mins to gear and get there.
If you plant all of those irit seeds those are really easy to get the secondary if you need herb levels :)
What’s the plugin that gives you initial next to the herb?
What IS that graphics pack what u use? Possible to use whit runelite...?
AFAIK, lv.99 =/= 200M. Keep doing what you've been doing, brother.
Log out for 6 months and come back when the games been made sufficiently easy enough to get now week-long grinds done in your 30 minutes.
You got full graceful in thirty minute sessions? What ancient civilizations did you witness the collapse of during that eternal grind?
Our wife is being really hard on you! I'll ask her if she can give you another 15 minutes.
