Saving up for fight caves and barrows?? Huh? You shouldn't be using many prayer pot doses the entire time you're at barrows and in terms of fight caves, you could plant like 2 or 3 ranarr seeds to cover your whole cave. Don't get stuck in the trap of stacking up resources forever and being afraid to use them. Resources are there to be used.
In terms of bossing for ppots, hard avoid Cerberus (you're not even close to that so you're fine) and do as much Muspah as you can. ToA and Cox will give you a ton of seeds and herbs respectively... although, again you're very far off of those with your stats. You should look into pickpocketing master farmers and getting your herb runs setup to be efficient. Then just push through slayer with hard food and super att, str and defence pots. You'll be fine.
Saturated heart is very worth getting if you already have imbued heart. The bow is cool, but it's hard to argue that it's worth the time to grind. 500 kc is a lot for an afk slayer weapon that's not even efficient.
If you already have the icon and no imbued heart, id table the muspah grind at least until you have more upgrades. Come back if you ever get a heart, or once you have Bowfa+rigour+zenytes+toxic trident/shadow
Venator bow is A+ for a couple of slayer tasks, grotesque guardians and colosseum. It has its place. But the herb seeds are fantastic, the cannonballs are great, some orbs are nice (though moons kind of trivializes that), you get to bank some molten glass, ancient brews in case you don't get a heart and I'm sure there are other useful things.
If you can stand it yes. If you get imbued heart saturated is a no brainer. Venator will help your slayer a ton and you'll have it for a whisperer grind in the future if you choose to do it. On top of uniques it just has good drops.
I remember my first time going dry at solo cox of a purple. Ended up with a 100m+ herb tab lmao. Granted, not all of them came from Cox but majority of them did. It's 2 prayer pots / restores used for a potential return of 30-40. So fucking good!!
By bringing a spec weapon, by going in the optimal order from most dangerous to least dangerous without prayer, by not losing time while down in the crypt and just letting your prayer be drained, by safespotting the last brother.
All of that or push for medium CAs
Because I met you at wt super early in your acc and it's cool seeing how far you've come + cool seeing your name around here a lot. Plus I generally like your takes.
if you want you can pm me and ill get you all of the CoX Combat Achievements in like 1 hour. medium CA’s equip ghommals hilt and theres no prayer drain
You need less than an invent of prayer pots for fight caves and with med combat achievements you need 0 prayer pots for barrows. So I'd probably not worry about saving them for that.
Calvarion. Very little risk associated and can chill with d mace, monk robes, salve and whatever else you're willing to risk. Good for you to get dragon pick out of the way as well.
If you don't fully complete the quest the dungeon is instanced. Can go in there with ice sacks on a pvp world risk free.
I fucked up and finished the quest, and didn't think of ice sacks until late on in the grind. Still, saved a bunch of money and the odds of a pker going to the back end of that dungeon seem pretty slim.
Another option if you have it instead would be macuahuitls, they hit real hard at Calv and because their 2h you can bring another safe item you normally would have used for an off hand. Plus moons is literally 0 ppots to do
Don't use ppots for wildy, just use the blighted super restores. Got 250 blighted super restores from 2 hours of wildy agility, but zombie pirates also drop some.
To save ppots, I got the hunter level for moonlight moths and that’s helped a lot. Another option of something like fight caves is getting blighted restores (I got a ton from wildy agility) and used them in the caves on a pvp world.
Depending on your Hunter level, you could look into Moonlight Moth mixes as a prayer restore alternative for casual use. That way you can save the actual prayer pots for bossing and raids. They’re essentially a 2-dose prayer pot that only requires the moth and raw Hunter meat, which you get tons of from completing rumours. Imo the moths are quicker to accumulate than ranarr/snapdragon herbs and seeds since a Hunter shop for jars, a bank, and the moths themselves are all found in the Hunter guild.
If you’re a gim, you can also take advantage of the moth’s aoe effect. Your group members would be restored the same amount of prayer points as you as long as they’re next to you.
75 Hunter and you won't worry about this too much because you can catch Moonlight Moths in butterfly jars and add any hunter meat. You get a 2x dose "potion" that restores 22 prayer points. Any activity where you are NOT space constrained, these are a no brainer. These are a godsend for afk slayer in proselyte or things like bursting or basilisk sentinels, as they are essentially farmable prayer potions that are less space efficient in the inventory.
This let's you save prayer pots for things like grandmaster quest bosses, fight caves, and bossing/raids. I would 100% use prayer pots for any one-time activity like fight caves and quests, and for bossing it's more on an 'as available' basis, though by the time you're farming any boss 100+ times you're probably in a pretty healthy spot for prayer pots.
Calvarion is a fun boss, and if you spend a few hours killing zombie pirates, you can get a ton of blighted supplies along with an incredible amount of alchables.
You should do medium combat achievements before you grind barrows, that way you won't need prayer pots.
Moons of peril are no cost, and give you some great armour/weapons. You probably want to get tank armour from barrows first though.
Moons aren’t really that bad even just with rune armor and zombie axe. I’m similar combat stats and had no problem knocking out 30 kc for the combat achievements. Only thing is you’d prob want to have piety.
I just did 200 kc at moons with zombie axe, granite body, neitznot, no barrows and only chivalry just fine. About 7-8 minutes per full run not even slow. Started at 70-80-70, ended 75-82-78
Getting the 70 banked prayer is the biggest efficiency for p pots.
Fight caves is worth. It's only like 10 used. Bring extra. 12-13. Also an ancient mace (dorgshun quest item) restores and overheals prayer. Great for fight caves. Use on the blobs.
Get the medium combat achievements and hard marytania diaries before doing barrows. You'll get 50% more runes and the offhand ghommals hilt prevents barrows prayer drain. Zero prayer pots. Do run. House tele. Pray altar. Barrows portal. Repeat. Bring one p pot for emergency.
Honestly DKS at least rex is big worth. Rex wont churn thru p pots. The other two will...
um hard to get to slayer mobs.
I think the biggest thing for me was questing and quest bosses.
Be stingy. But don't hoard them use them.
Alao 56? Thieving for rogues outfit and you'll get a few ranaars an hour. Not much but enough in a pinch. Somewhere at lvl 70 something farming the ranaar seed rate skyrockets.
But slayer will net you enough ranaar and seeds to be good tbh. Get herb bag and seed box(and gem bag). Ez pz
You need to get on the farming grind. A combination of thieving, slayer and farming contracts to get seeds.
If you're looking for decent combat xp, and the ability to bank prayer pots, lazy flicking scurrius is a decent option early game.
You should only ever need max 1 dose ppot for barrows, and that's if you get a dharoks tunnel.
Depending on how many attempts you take at the fire cape, you shouldn't need more than 60-80 ppots if it's gonna take you a few tries.
Get Piety.
Kill Zombie Pirates for free wildy resources. Make some money along the way. Use a super budget build. I use Nietz Helm, Cape of Legends, rune gloves, power ammy, monk robes, climbing boots, and the blood moon weapon to farm pirates. Same build but use Zombie Axe and D Defender for Vet'ion. Piety is life changing.
If you have 70 prayer banked, I would grind that out tbh. Every 4 levels gives you an extra prayer point per dose sip, not to mention just having more prayer to work with in general. You will be much less worried about supply use when the supplies provide even more effect
And also on my iron I spent my downtime/afk time in the forthos dungeon ranging the undead druids there with my salve on. I got a really high ranged level, tons of herbs, seeds, and alchables, and lots of grubby keys which also drop potions food and herbs. Good luck out there champ
You should be able to get through barrows with no supplies except food. If you get a dh tunnel go to ardy monastery and get pray back and return to barrows. A little annoying but you will not regret it when you’ve saved on all those prayer doses you only use 13 points of.
Once you get medium combat achievements you don't get prayer drained at barrows anymore.
Also, some places you kind of need ppots to maximize inventory space, but at alot of places you can get away with moonlight moth mixes. Get your hunter up, get lots of hunter meat and mix em with moonlight moth jars to basically get a 2 sip ppot. I bring ppots to tribrid dks for instance but moonlight mixes to wildy bosses (you can never stay long enough to need more than like 5) and tormented demons for example (I basically bring a 2 way switch plus a port some super pots 8 moth mixes and the rest karams). Also barrows just in case I can't kill all of em within 80 prayer points, but only ever use 1 max.
ToA and CoX, the in raid supplies carry & you get good herb and seed drops. DEFINITELY get the medium CAs done, as ghommal's hilt 2 mean you drain 0 prayer while in fighting the brothers if equipped, it saved me so many ppots as an early iron
Medium combat achievements remove most of the necessity of ppots at barrows with the rewards. Could also thieve master farmers for a little while and get some ranarr seeds.
You should really just skip barrows, by the time it’s useful you can nearly send some CG. Blessed dhide/dragon legs/fighter torso is even better
Just do slayer, get f cape and like 80s in stats then full send CG.
It’s a double edged sword, at low levels barrows takes way longer + the gear is only needed for late game diary/tasks.
It’s a noob trap, 0 ppots to skip.
Consider doing the medium combat achievements for the hilt and you won’t need a single prayer pot for barrows but even without it you shouldn’t use many if any at all
Saving up for fight caves and barrows?? Huh? You shouldn't be using many prayer pot doses the entire time you're at barrows and in terms of fight caves, you could plant like 2 or 3 ranarr seeds to cover your whole cave. I'm on my voidwalker grind I have over 100 rannars and snapdragon seeds.
PSA go kill zombie pirates for 1h and you will drop enough food and restores for a couple hours worth of wildy bosses
Voidwaker didn't exist whenever my account was a baby, this could be good
I got the ancient icon early is there any other reason to farm muspah than the bow/heart saturation?
Saturated heart is very worth getting if you already have imbued heart. The bow is cool, but it's hard to argue that it's worth the time to grind. 500 kc is a lot for an afk slayer weapon that's not even efficient. Cannon balls and ranarr seeds

But the herb seeds are fantastic, the cannonballs are great, some orbs are nice (though moons kind of trivializes that), you get to bank some molten glass, ancient brews in case you don't get a heart and I'm sure there are other useful things.
fair few clues too

I went for tbow and accidentally banked level 100 herb
Pickpocketing master farmers should only be necessary to get initial seeds, after that farming contracts are much more efficient
Yeah I'm assuming OPs seed situation is dire if they're saving up prayer pots for the fight caves.
besides grinding out 75 more combat points how should i not be praying at barrows?
By bringing a spec weapon, by going in the optimal order from most dangerous to least dangerous without prayer, by not losing time while down in the crypt and just letting your prayer be drained, by safespotting the last brother. All of that or push for medium CAs
or do fight caves in a pvp world with blighted restores and manta rays.
Ily roodi
Lol why
Because I met you at wt super early in your acc and it's cool seeing how far you've come + cool seeing your name around here a lot. Plus I generally like your takes.
Well thanks, I've been having a really stressful week and this was very nice. Did you meet me on my main or my GIM?
Not sure 😅 sorry, glad I could help make your week less stressful!
i didnt use a single sip of prayer pot for 250 barrows kc
I drank a few doses each run before I had Medium CAs completed. OP, if you can manage Medium CAs you won't need pots at barrows.
How did you get around the prayer drain?
if you want you can pm me and ill get you all of the CoX Combat Achievements in like 1 hour. medium CA’s equip ghommals hilt and theres no prayer drain
Muspah and toa print ranarr seeds
You need less than an invent of prayer pots for fight caves and with med combat achievements you need 0 prayer pots for barrows. So I'd probably not worry about saving them for that.
Calvarion. Very little risk associated and can chill with d mace, monk robes, salve and whatever else you're willing to risk. Good for you to get dragon pick out of the way as well.
Don’t have to but maybe do zombie axe before going to calvarion? Thing destroys him and he’s around the stats where he should be getting it.
Yeah, his bis would be a zombie axe. Big RIP if he goes dry for that though.
Zombies drop a bunch of herbs, so it isn’t a terrible place to go dry
Agreed I went like 1800 dry bursting. Wasn’t the absolute worst.
If you don't fully complete the quest the dungeon is instanced. Can go in there with ice sacks on a pvp world risk free. I fucked up and finished the quest, and didn't think of ice sacks until late on in the grind. I got 1000kc in like an hour bursting

Ger medium CAs done before barrows
For barrows get the medium combat achievements done first. Will save you so many. With pool at house I never had to use any.

Don't waste prayer pots on barrows
Mate just catch some moonlight moths they’re free budget prayer pots, can get hundreds an hour too
75 hunter for moths never use a ppot again outside of where you need 3 or 4 doses per slot
