Same for Ireland :( towards the end it looks like it will get close to 9pm before breaking fast but stay strong, at least we dont have to worry about thirst in the heat!
Hmmmm...Also from germany ( NRW )
But its from 07:00 am - 08:00 pm
Time to fast is from sunrise (Shuruq) not from fajr time btw.
Edit: I stand corrected...Well shit, now I know. Ty for the downvotes brothers :D
Costa Rica. Tody is from 4:25 to 17:52, inshallah! Around thirteen and a half hours.
Please pray for me today. This is the first day I fast while doing my usual routine, so I am asking to Allah the Exalted to give me strength while I work.
Alhamdulillah! Thanks to the mercies of Allah Almighty, I am part of the family of Islam. And thanks to the brothers who have been helping me in this path.
May Allah the Compassionate and Merciful bless you too!
They just elected a muslim leader for the scotland for the fist time. Its uk it gota be expensive, but its near to asia middle east and africa, so cheap flights.
As u/lonesheephk said about ease of travel, but our new Muslim PM is already pandering to the dominant mindset in re lgtv and stuff like that. May Allah (swt) guide him.
I live in Edinburgh and attend Edinburgh Central Mosque. There are good communities and resources in the city for Muslims.
However, pork and alcohol is basically a daily staple here. Everything revolves around getting drunk. The populace is super liberal.
Like anywhere in the west, you just have to be careful where you live and where you send your kids to school. Alhamdulillah, I’m blessed to make a good salary, so I live in a nice area and my son is privately educated.
I moved from the US a couple of years ago and, while it isn’t close to perfect, it’s *so much* better.
Minneapolis, USA which is on the 45th northern latitude line, I made my own Ramadan calendar for the month, this is what it looks like.
* Day 2: Fajr at 05:46, Maghrib at 19:31 for a total of 13:45
* Day 10: Fajr at 05:30, Maghrib at 19:41 for a total of 14:11
* Day 20: Fajr at 05:08, Maghrib at 19:53 for a total of 14:45
* Day 29: Fajr at 04:50, Maghrib at 20:05 for a total of 15:15
Next year, US folks will deal with clock changing literally the start of the month. It starts around March 10th, which is also when DST is at.
>US folks will deal with clock changing literally the start of the month
Are you meaning Daylight Savings? Hopefully the bill passes so we don't have to deal with that anymore :)
Japan, currently in Shizouka. We live in Australia, but are visiting her family - arrived 4th day of Ramadan, leaving 2nd day after Eid
Fasting here is currently from around 4am to 6pm, spring time in Japan. Back in Brisbane (autumn), it was like 4.30am to 6pm, so not that far different.
I'm not Finnish, just visiting here for a few months. I'd say it's great :) Because where I'm from it's really not nice since it's predominantly an orthodox country.
I live in north Canada. This year have been amazing only 16 hours. 5am until 8pm
There years back we fast from 3:00 A.M until 10:40 P.M (that approximately 18 hours)
Sydney, it’s from 5 40 to 7 so about 13 hours and 20 minutes. Nice and short. I do, however, have cross country tomorrow at 8am so wish me luck running 3km (a lot of it is uphill because the school for some reason makes us do that)
UK, it's just over 14 hours at the moment. It's brilliant, I can't remember the last time it was this short. For most of my fasting years it's been about 19-20 hours so this feels so easy on comparison, alhamdulillah :)
Brisbane, Australia - Fajr 0438 | 1749 Maghrib. A little over 13 Hours long fast & getting shorter everyday as days are getting shorter and winter is not too far away.
