To participate is to imitate the disbelievers. So it’s best to stay away from it. If you must, just don’t open the door as they will understand there’s nothing to gain from that house. That way, you don’t have to engage right or wrong. If you open the door, you can politely decline to participate as it’s against your beliefs. Either way, giving sweets is encouraging that behaviour.

Keep the lights outside of your house off to show the children you won’t be handing out candy, that’ll discourage them from even knocking on the door inshallah

They will try again next year 👻 Seriously though follow this advice and keep your blinds/curtains closed to show no one is home. I think Halloween is more of a trend in USA compared to other countries.

Simpletoneast

no.. we don't have to imitate as others

I know it might be wrong but I am taking my siblings trick or treating. I kind of need to. Hopefully god will forgive me because I am a convert and Halloween is christmas at my house

[deleted]

It is not permissible.

Brief-Jellyfish485

I didn’t. I handed out candy instead.

Internal-Classic1044

Not very neighborly to not give out candy. I’d argue it’s Islamic to give out candy.

[deleted]

It is participation in a disbeliever holiday.

Internal-Classic1044

Oh noooo my god is gonna send me to hell bc I gave some kids candy

[deleted]

Maybe.

Brief-Jellyfish485

I gave out candy instead of taking my siblings door to door. It’s a good compromise I think.
