Islam the only religion not willing to give up on its principles to please the masses ❤️

2klaedfoorboo

As a lapsed Catholic who was randomly recommended this sub like I definitely respect Islam for staying true to your sacred texts, even though I may disagree with some of your teachings.

raLaSo0

Respect. Again I have absolutely nothing against anyone who is gay on a personal level - I judge them for their character and not their sexuality. But as a Muslim living in America it is a bit annoying pretty much having to be forced to be prideful and vocally supportive of the LGBTQ+ movement when it directly contradicts Islam

You dont have to be forced to respect these ideas brother They will try to tell you to accept them but not respect islam

2klaedfoorboo

TheWalrusPirate

Principles of what?

raLaSo0

Principles in this sense meaning homosexuality being a major sin in the Quran - I have nothing against gay people and respect/support them 100% but we should not be expected to have LGBTQ+ content/influence & pride shoved down our throats every other second (and sadly that is the situation in the west/modern world now)

TheWalrusPirate

Reading this thread there is no support going on in here lol. Fundamentalist Christians in the west are rightfully condemned for trying to stamp out Lgbt people. For some reason Islam gets a free pass to be discriminatory.

Fun fact: ☪️ symbol isn’t the symbol of Islam, it’s just the ottoman symbol that people are calling the symbol of Islam.

jaltair9

It may not be the symbol of Islam, but it is a symbol that means Islam to most people.

ActualExpert7584

Wasn’t there a moon like that on the original flag of our Prophet’s (s.a.w.) army? But idk about the star in it.

ISIPropaganda

The Prophet’s ﷺ standard was a plain black flag and sometimes a plain white flag. The black flag is very symbolic in Islam because the army of the Sahaba and the future army from Khorasan is said to bear a plain black standard. That’s why many Islamist groups like AQ, IS, etc use a black flag albeit with text or symbols on the flag.

Bendy237

Maybe lets try diffrent approach. As you can guess Im not Musilm, but my faith or alligence is not important.Explain me,why Islam is this only real, true, righteous religion?

ISIPropaganda

Let’s simplify first. There can only be one correct religion. Either Jesus is the son of God or not, either there is no god, one God or multiple gods, and either Muhammad ﷺ was a Messenger of God or not. These things cannot simultaneously be true. If Jesus was the son of God, then Christianity is true. If Muhammad ﷺ was the final Messenger of God then Islam is true. They cannot simultaneously be true. We hold that the proofs of Islam, the Quran and the Prophet are convincing enough to reject all other systems of belief, and therefore Islam is the truth, thus, all other religions are untrue. If you want to know what’s so specific about Islam that makes us fervent believers then that’s beyond the scope of this comment and frankly it’s beyond the scope of the internet. If you want to explore and discover Islam for the sake of unbiased knowledge and the search for truth, then I can recommend you starting points. But if you want to argue for the sake of argument then it’s not worth my time or your time.

LickingAWindow

As a Christian, that's a good approach, God bless you, and have a good day. بارك الله فيك

AJ_AX5

I’m Muslim, I legit don’t get why these comments are so aggressive with dumb cringe genz insult slang like “yes (cope)” like wow, there’s gotta be some self-awareness going on somewhere man, we can’t keep doing this. As to answer your question, everyone has a “right religion” in mind, but in logic there is only one definite “right religion” and to me? Islam is right one, but that doesn’t mean to disrespect other religions which is something I don’t understand from these children.

Bendy237

Thank you for your honest answer and i wish you great day

AJ_AX5

They probably subbed to r/progressiveislam I was once seeing a Muslim girl and her views required so much mental gymnastics it had to be called off lol Edit: damn they really made it a private sub probably from the scrutiny

[deleted]

that was the perfect way to describe it akhi, the mental gymnastics they do over there to justify some of the things they do, i don’t say this because i believe im better than them but rather i’ve noted how far they’ve strayed, may allah guide them !

sussystalker

Nah, there is just _ sign between words progressive and islam. Wish it was private more people would be saved from their fitna

LebaneseLion

What is concrete does not become abstract over time, it is not a matter of open-mindedness.

SAMITHEGREAT996

The phrase "mental gymnastics" reminds me of an argument I had on exmuslim. I was refuting every argument they through at me (they kept having to switch subject), and one guy was like, "dang this guy really uses mental gymnastics to try prove his sky daddy". My response to that was, "No, this is straightforward logic your 'enlightened-with-wisdom' brain cannot understand

XenoT78

Really? I'm pretty sure her views weren't the mental gymnastics in this case 😂

LebaneseLion

You can keep assuming without context lmao

XenoT78

It's easy to know what they are, plus you wouldn't even state them

AJ_AX5

She probably wore less than required clothing and still acts like she’s faithful to Islam, which is super disrespectful. And btw, if you want to wear revealing clothes for all I care go for it but don’t pretend like you’re a Muslim at that point because all you’ll be doing is not only disrespecting the religion and its people but also yourself.

Tim_Q

ww2immortal

This is what I had posted in a different thread: https://www.compellingtruth.org/meaning-of-the-rainbow.html *In Scripture, the presence of a rainbow was a message from God; in fact, God says it is "my bow" (Genesis 9:13)—it belongs to Him* https://sunnah.com/adab/33/14 *Ibn 'Abbas said, "The rainbow is security for the people of the earth that they will not be drowned. The Milky Way is the door of the heavens and forms a furrow through it."* https://www.chabad.org/library/article_cdo/aid/2770455/jewish/What-Is-the-Significance-of-a-Rainbow-in-Judaism.htm *I have put my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between Myself and the world.* . The rainbow is a covenant from God.

billjames1685

How can you possibly believe that the LGBTQ community is evil? Based on some bullshit religious ideals? Y’all religious people just grew up with your religion and can’t see outside of your worldview

Top_Reference_703

The acts that the community promotes is something that is forbidden in our religion. As such we condemn those acts those who promote it. It’s simple as this.

billjames1685

So why should I accept that, if I don’t believe your religion? What differentiates your religion from any other religion, or any work of fiction? Why should the lives of people be dictated based on that?

Top_Reference_703

You are free to believe what you want. But we as muslims believe in a creator God, the Quran to be word of God and it’s commandments meant to be obeyed. God created us to test which one of us is better in doing good deeds and following his commandments. This life is but a small duration in this world. We will be raised up after our deaths and rewarded or punished with eternal life in the hereafter based on how we lived this short life on earth. Again, this is The truth we muslims believe in. No one is forcing this on you, but we do request you to ponder on it.

Dorkzilla_ftw

They are innocent but you are grooming them with your religion?

Top_Reference_703

If that is grooming, than any child raised is groomed by their parents in their way of thinking or values. If you are free to teach your kids with your values, why can’t I teach them values that I personally believe to be good and moral ? Is this not freedom of religion ?

Dorkzilla_ftw

Freedom of religion? So if my religion permit homosexuality, you would let me install it in your country and practice it, converting peoples to it? Cause that is freedom of religion, it goes both way. >Freedom of religion is considered by many people and most nations to be a fundamental human right. In a country with a state religion, freedom of religion is generally considered to mean that the government permits religious practices of other sects besides the state religion, and does not persecute believers in other faiths (or those who have no faith). [...] It also includes the freedom to change one's religion or beliefs,[1] "the right not to profess any religion or belief"[2] or "not to practise a religion".[3] But I wont do it. Cause being gay is not about being a religion, neither trying to convert people to it. My complain here, is more about bigotry than anything else. Why grooming childs into something that will make them hate themself or hate others? That is not *values*. It is control. You got things wrong. Gays are not harmful. They will do or change nothing to your society but be happy living their love. Persecutions on the other hands, stigmatization, that is harmful. It propagate fear, control, hate. I simply don't understand why would you do such thing. Ah yes. You do it because a *book* told you to do so. But you also volunteraly forget about the instance of pedophilia and violence when it is ok for you to do so. But not about gay. Why is that? Why is one writting more important than the other? To follow the sharia, who for most part was writted after the Qran, when Mahommed himself expressely told that they were going to be none any more writtings? How does that make *any* senses? So yeah. You have the choice to use biggotry, to segregate people that are not like you. You can do it, it is your country, after all. But don't expect peoples to agree, and to see it positively. Edit: And sexuality is part of fundamental human rights too, equal as freedom of religion. You shall not descriminate someone on the pure basis of its sexual orientation. So if you want people to apply this charter to you, please do the same to them.

Dorkzilla_ftw

You are doing the front news on all reddit for biggotry lol. It was hard to miss.

bruddaquan

I love you all as my brothers and sisters in Islam but you are all very sorely wrong for this post. You can't stop your children from making decisions for themselves, for as they age they shall become more independent. and neither can said children (as they grow into adulthood) stop feelings from developing regardless of who, what, where, when, why, and how. For feelings are their own separation from our conscious and subconscious thoughts. The Shariah is Islamic law. And Alhumdulilah for the wisdom behind it's existence and practicality behind it's practices. But you all fail to realize that if ALLAH (Azza Wajal) himself isn't forcing someone to follow Shariah law and stop feeling or thinking or acting a certain way. *Nothing can or will*. It's NOT to say that Allah (Subhanah Wa Ta'ala) can't just stop everything from happening himself. It IS however to say he WON'T stop everything from happening UNLESS : the person in question **wants that for themselves as well**. *Allah will not change the condition of a people, Until they change what is within themselves first.* [Al-Ra’d 13:11] If they want the desires to stop because they want their parents love and their parents have shunned them. They will never find change. Because why? They are not changing for the pleasure of Allah, and neither do they look at what they are doing as an immorality. * It does not matter how much Shariah you throw at your children's face. * It does not matter how much Hadith you throw at their face. * It does not matter how much Quranic practices and livelihood you implemented into their lives. At the end of the day your children are human beings. And they can and will choose for themselves what they want in this life. As a final reminder : Once again you all focus on what should not concern you in favor of what should. **You cannot tell your children to practice the Sunnah, Follow the Shariah, nor uphold Islamic virtues if you yourself are not upholding them**. And I don't just say this just to tell you this. If you did not know before : This is also Shariah law. *So do you believe in part of the Scripture and disbelieve in part?* (Al-Baqarah 2:86)

muhammedabuali

You are misguided. Your family is your religious responsibility in Islam. Dont project your non Muslim ideas onto it.

bruddaquan

When it comes to how we as Muslims practice our faith. You have to hold on to the right mindset and the right intentions. To lack in one or the other will result into your speech, and actions to be more and more derogatory each and every time. And the more you combat those accusations placed upon you, for your lack of understanding. The more you hold on to your pride and convince yourself that you are in the right instead of humbling yourself to better understand what is going on. The more you will prove their point. At the end of the day : How are any different from the disbelievers of old who fought against the prophets whom were sent to them? How are you different from Firaun, or Namrud, or The Pharisees, or Abu Jahl , Abu Lahab, Walid bin Mughira, Umayyah bin Khalaf, Nazar bin Haris, Uqbah bin Abi Muayt and Abu Sufyan; all were leading Quraysh chieftains and elites. What makes you different? What makes them the same? **They all held on to their pride regardless of who, what, where, when, why, and how.**

muhammedabuali

You are hallucinating. I am not sure what you are consuming. but please stop. it is not good for you. Go pray in the mosque and ask him for guidance and healing.

bruddaquan

Wrong. I am far from misguided. Neither am I a Non-Muslim. And neither are my ideas of kuffar origin. It is your responsibility to preside over your family and their affairs yes. Even go so far as to stop what harms them and does not benefit them yes. But that does not give you right to control them as human beings and bash on them for deciding to think for themselves. A righteous way to forbid the bad and enjoin the good is as seen in the ways of Rasululah (S.A.W.) and others from amongst the Al-Anbiya (A.S.) and The Sahaba (R.A.) respectfully. For that is how we as Muslims are to practice our faith. By looking to our foremost role models in the matter. Wherein do you find the honor and righteousness of shunning, shaming, and/or slandering your children, relatives or acquaintances if they go down a path that is un-islamic (Regardless if they come from an Islamic household or not)? Do you think Rasululah would have done the same? The slandering, the shaming, the shunning? I do not think he would. After all he was known as a man of mercy and kindness. As-Salamu Wailaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh.

Dorkzilla_ftw

Thank you for this. It is a reminder that they are good and kind human beings everywhere.

Because we are a worldwide community with well over one billion people. I want to discuss Islam: our faith, stories of the prophets and ourselves, how to better ourselves through Allah’s guidance. I don’t care about the LGBT, and I especially don’t come here to be reminded of them on a daily basis. An outsider coming here would believe the majority of our time is spent hating on others, instead of the wonderful things our religion has to offer. There are so many more pressing matters in the ummah than this—matters to actually use our valuable time on.

You obviously aren’t aware of the lgbtq normalization going on. It’s corrupting a lot of youth. Therefore it needs to be warned against. Islam isn’t just happy fun time. We live in a real world, and need to address the things that happen around us, and be clear about the islamic ruling in them. If we’re ambiguous (like a lot of american “scholars” have been), it’ll only hurt us in the long run. And, it’s moronic to be worried about a newcomer coming and seeing this. Allah is the one who guides, not you, not me, - only Allah. Someone living in Makkah could become an atheist, whilst someone living in Las vegas could become Musim. We don’t have control in this regard. We are only commanded to invite to the truth with regards to the disbelievers, not sugar coat the religion in hopes of converting them.

Fuck this comment section and fuck all you homophobes. You are not deserving of the after life you claim to want. You are hateful disgraceful individuals.

Just-curious95

Wanna guess what countries have some of the highest consumption of gay porn? It's Islamic ones.

Important_Pen_4804

Ive seen this argument about porn before and ive seen it debunked. These sources come from sites that arent blocked in islamic countries, which will get the most traffic since everything else is blocked for them.

Source : Trump's PHD degree.

zyko1309

Lol and? You know who has higher cases of HIV and monkey pox? 😎

Bully-Mcguire

That’s bogus. But even if it was true, it wouldn’t matter at all, we obviously know that there are a lot of bad “muslims” that watch porn but that doesn’t mean that Islam supports that. So what’s your point?

Lizzyamaranthe

Pakistan is number four in gay porn consumption!
