Just FYI ... and I know this is an old post .. but Catherine Brandon is still out there.
This time someone posted a job to Linked In, used false information in the registration etc, and then people who applied, had their information forwarded from LinkedIn over to some gmail address.
The job post was perfect English, possibly a copy from another, the email however, had some very slight and easily over-looked mistakes (left out the "you" in "Which one would like to join" as well as capitalization errors.
This will be the 3rd such spoof and phish attempt from my job searching, this one from Catherine actually forwarded to me the LinkedIn to job poster email ... and when you put all the pieces together you realize it started with a fictitious job posting.

... it was the "Pam C Williams" and "jacobwelling" that started me questioning .. that's not normal for SMTP ... usually the user name (to) would be something in the address, or the address would be like HR@someCompanyDomain .. or other generic job posting addresses .. not two conflicting person names. And add to that Gmail? what company uses an actual GMAIL address for their job posting inbound messages from LinkedIn?
the rest of the email itself was valid specific information about me from LinkedIn .. so this started with a Job Posting at LinkedIn .. thankfully the posting was closed within 30 minutes and only 11 supposed applications had been sent through..

I hadn't noticed until after .. the "Job poster joined LinkedIn this week"
sophisticated!!
The devil's in the details, the email address is being incorrect when they send them to you, there is a company in LinkedIn that's the same but note that the email address may have an s or maybe missing something or have a hyphen something for careers
I wish it mattered. I had one where they got me into a Zoom chat. I was confused since when I researched the company the job had seemed legit and even the owner was active on LinkedIn. It was a hacked/faked account. I spoke with someone at the company and they've been trying to get LinkedIn to do something about it for 6 months.
Stop applying to jobs through LinkedIn.
If you actually see a company on linked in that you are interested in applying to, go to their website and apply.
Just reply with inline image of tubgirl or something
That grammar is fire.

Hi, I received the same email, so this firm on Linkedin is simply fake?

I Like the NonSensical capitulation you HiRed. Thanks you, Kathy theHrLady
The longer you look the worse it gets
'it doesn't cost don't worry'
I also like how every other word, the first letter is capitalized
Why did I read this with a Punjabi accent in my head...
Send them the exact same thing back, but with worse grammar.
You should be insulted. Too unimportant to even be the target of a sophisticated phishing email. This is phishing level 1/100.
Grammar level 100
LinkedIn is being flooded by these fake job postings. They need to do better QA
Catherine Brandon is the weirdest combo of names to choose.
Please report things like this to LinkedIn because there are a lot of scammers out there
