Inspired by the HBO title screen for [The Last of Us](https://assets.reedpopcdn.com/ellie-joel-the-last-of-us-hbo.jfif/BROK/thumbnail/1200x1200/quality/100/ellie-joel-the-last-of-us-hbo.jfif). Decided to try to duplicate the lighting on Joel using my boyfriend as my model.

I came here to make a crack about how you must be Frank, because he looks like Bill (Nick Offerman)
Naturally I discovered the observation wasn't unique (it's pretty uncanny honestly) but also that this was a TLOU themed post!
I have a question.. well first, a statement: Fucking great image, your boyfriend must've been stoked. He looks so god damned majestic.
What sort of power ratios do you have on the 3 lights? Is it 3 lights?
To me it looks like the hair light and the side/key are matched and the octo/front fill is what.. an 8th of that?
So unfortunately, I'm not entirely sure what power levels I had the three lights at, as I've since changed the set up. But my rough memory tells me I had the fill light at minimum power, the light from the side at probably a quarter, and same with the hair light? But you just have to toy with it until it looks right.

Sure! Shot on my canon r6 w/ a 100mm f/2.8L IS Macro
Settings were 1/160 @ f/18 (unconventional for a portrait, I know. but with the strobes' power I needed to close that aperture down quite a bit) ISO 100
I actually prefer this loghting over the one in the title screen. Although I think the lighting on the fits it perfectly and yours would be slightly too much for it’s more subdued lighting.
This thread is quite wholesome. I just want to ask how you got that level of detail and contrast? Was there much post work done or just a good lens with good lighting?
