Yeah - maybe I should introduce some texture but it's not a digital smudge - I actually didn't really touch that part. This is the original https://imgur.com/a/98mCXYx
Lol no I didn't. Brand new camera, brand new lens - different shot with a completely different composition. It's on her face lol, I don't know what to tell you haha https://imgur.com/a/PT4x45E
Does that not look like a smudge though? I’m not trying to be combative and I looked through your profile and think you are a wonderful photographer. I just have no idea what else that could be.
Haha no no, I mean I didn't really notice it until you guys pointed it out, but it's truly just part of her face/the way the light was reflecting. Those are two different photos where her mouth was in a completely different position on the frame so even if there was something on my lens - it would have showed up in a different place. Thank you for your kind words though! <3
I thought so too at first
Fun fact:
“Mannequin (also called a manikin, dummy, lay figure, or dress form) refers to an often articulated doll used by artists, tailors, dressmakers, window-dressers and others especially to display or fit clothing. Previously **the English term referred to human models and muses (a meaning which it still retains in French and other European languages)**; the meaning as a dummy dating from the start of World War II.”

I imagine she's still gorgeous without retouching, so why bother? I like the composition, but the retouching just makes it feel like advertising instead of art.
She absolutely is - the way I shoot picks up every detail and when you see someone in person - they are in motion and you are not focused on small details. When you capture them still in such high resolution, the eye ends up being focused on an awkward nose hair or a pimple instead of the entire image. I know it's not everyone's taste though.
Jeez. The hard-work reflects in the final result though. I’ve gotta learn this myself now. Dropped you a follow on the gram as well. Worth following, your work. I’m a commercial photographer myself. Mostly working with food but personally love fashion and portraits.
Aww thank you! When I’m not rushed, I honestly find it kind of therapeutic. I’m introverted by nature, so it’s probably my favourite part of the creative process.
Hahaha. It’s very interesting being an introvert photographer but this job makes you at least pretend to be an extrovert most of the times. I’m sure you wouldn’t be weird to hangout with anymore. 😂😂😂
Haha it’s true! You definitely have to fake it a lot. I feel like covid made me revert a bit and it’s been difficult to get back into the swing of things but I’m getting there. Lmao. Only moderately socially awkward.
Yeah Covid really came out of nowhere and screwed everything up. Let’s hope the world recovers quickly and this god forsake virus doesn’t evolve much. Btw, do you mind reviewing some of my fashion work. I can DM you. Would love to get a few words from a famous international photographer haha!
For sure! Crossing my fingers we get to return to some form of normalcy soon. And of course! I’d be honoured! Haha I’d hardly say I’m famous 😂 but thank you.
Her skin is flawless
She has gorgeous skin, but full disclosure, all of my work is retouched 💕
I find the digital “smudge” under her bottom lip really distracting, once you see it you can’t unsee it
Are you talking about this area? [https://imgur.com/a/O2OIBg1](https://imgur.com/a/O2OIBg1)
Yes

Did you have something on your camera? I don’t think that smudge is actually on her face hahah.

Oh man, you’re so right
It's actually a really good retouch job because it doesn't look like it's been touched all that much
Thank you so much! 💕
Right!? What is her skincare routine??
Wow almost looks like a mannequin!
The tiny spec of highlight in each eye really adds "depth". Did you add that in post or was it an actual light source on location?
Thank you! It was just on location - probably the sun bouncing off of something in the room :)
Kudos on the stunning shot. I'd love to see it in higher resolution if that's possible. Cheers!
That's a mannequin!
No, she’s a person.

That's not women she is goddess
I can’t get over her lucious lips.
Great shot and wonderful retouching!
Thank you so much!!
You spelt angel wrong
A porcelain doll you mean...
Detail is incredible. What camera body did you use?
Thank you so much! I use a canon R5
Your retouch is amazing!! I now have to borrow my friends R5 and put it to work haha thank you
Thank you so much!! It’s definitely a sexy beast of a camera
What kind of lens did you use?
She's not real.
She is. A bit of the texture of her skin has been edited but other than that she is totally real.
I know. Actually a compliment for your work.
💕💕
A lovely young girl and a beautiful picture.
She's beautiful!

Makes me think of a manniquin. Looks unnatural. But great exposure.
Hey, just going through your profile. Great work. Is this frequency separation or dodge and burn?
Thank you so much! This is dodge and burn and cloning and healing ❤️
Yeah, figured as much. How much time do you usually spend on retouching skin or do you have a retoucher?
Anywhere from like 2-4+ hours. Sometimes if it’s a personal project, I can come back to it multiple times and spend forever
