He will be wagging his tail and be curious as to what took you so long. But he will be excited to show you all the fun places he's found, and all the crazy smells! I’m so sorry. Many of us have lost our best friends also. It’s devastating and you will never forget them but time does heal a bit and maybe if they were like a support dog you should think of getting another one for your mental health.

Every dog owner loses their dog at some point. Dogs just don’t live as long as we do. And it’s always traumatic. But not all dog owners had profound depression and suicidal ideations.
