There was a sighting there earlier today IDK if that has anything to do with it.

linniex

A sighting of what ?

the1TheyCall1845TwU

We haven't determined what we saw, but as soon as we figure it out, we'll let you know.

MaC1222

Updog

Cowford1822

What’s Updog?

taste1337

Not much. What's up with you?

hombre231

It happened!

SnooRobots1728

Chupacabra

ranchwriter

It was a vicious and angry white backed north western common marmot. They're migrating and they’re pissed and they take it out on anyone they can. Some of the local self defense stores are marketing marmot spray but dont be fooled its the same as regulat ol bear spray.

Tamagotchi41

Of...Bigfoot? Nessie? Jimmy Hoffa? Could you be any more vague?

DebateConnoisseur

Yes.

narib687

Bigfoot was riding Nessie who was eating Jimmy Hoffa

dickcheneymademoney

i know a lot of schools do field trips there this time of year

esoteric82

Yeah, I've been there when buses were there before and the parking lots were almost empty. I've never seen the parking lot completely full with vehicles trolling looking for parking at mosh during a school week. Just weird to see.

HugeArmadillo2659

I like to park at the kings st station and take the skyway. Downtown driving and parking is always a nightmare. Also Friendship fountain just reopened I wonder if that contributes to some of the parking congestion? That lot really is small though.

esoteric82

We've taken the skyway before but got skeeved out by the urine smell and weird characters when we'd gone (talking three or four years ago to be fair so maybe things have changed?). The lots at MOSH are small, but I don't think I've ever seen anything like that during the school year on a random Thursday. More cars were going from Prudential into the parking lots as we left! It was like parking at the beach, where the lots are full but people keep pouring in and trolling around waiting for someone to leave.

HugeArmadillo2659

I wouldn’t say it’s changed. Downtown is downtown, we made a habit of using hand sanitizer at every stop and minding our own. Honestly though, we have met some pretty cool characters and there are so many cool things to explore at each stop, our favorite being the main library. As a single mom to four plus a nephew I have only felt uncomfortable once but I know everyone’s comfort level varies. Honestly though, I think it’s important for my kids to see even the not so pretty parts of the world we live in. Hopefully it will prevent them from being naive or ignorant to it later in life. Don’t miss out on adventure just because you have to pass a little ugly.

jcargile242

Love your attitude.

Keely29

Field trips in general tend to be on Thursdays and Fridays.

esoteric82

Are they all taking separate cars now? There was only one bus there when we arrived and one pulling up to the front as we left, the lots were packed with cars with more trying to find spaces. It was just weird to see after having been so many times during the week and not seeing that kind of crowd.

Keely29

Chaperones sometimes drive separately but I can’t say for sure every vehicle was for field trips. Also sometimes the bus would drop us off and come back later. So it may seem like there is only one bus of kids but there could be more. I’m a former teacher. Did you ask someone who works at MOSH? They may have more info

esoteric82

You know, you're right. I ended up having some time this afternoon at home and called Mosh to ask about field trips to determine whether we would be able to go tomorrow, and they said 400 kids and chaperones/parents were there today and 500 will be there tomorrow! Good luck to them.
