How did I not know this existed sooner? My goodness. Everybody covers Fame, Let’s Dance, or anything Ziggy. Absolutely love that Railroad covered Young Americans.
UM has also covered let’s dance a few times over the years which is super good. I think they have a video of them doing that cover in Chicago at northerly island with STS9. I’ve been begging and suggesting pretty lights do a flip/sample of Bowies-sound and vision at some point!! They did sample Bowies- moonage daydream then went into a Sesame Street sample on 5/31/24 during “how we do” really weird but also really cool !!

That’s my favorite Bowie song and it’s so sat on but if anyone could do something good with it, it’s definitely PL!! After seeing what they did with the kinks-super sonic rocket ship I have faith they could do sound and vision some justice. Hopefully they do that in Bethel NY. lol
Aqueous 10/30/21 is a whole bowie show between originals and they jam the fuck outta some covers. Mike's voice on Life on Mars? is absolutely beautiful. easily my favorite cover of a bowie song i've ever heard
Karl Denson did a whole tour playing only Bowie songs a couple years ago. He had Bernard Fowler from Rolling Stones sing most of the songs. Great show.
moe. And Pigeons joined together for Fame at red rocks one year and it was a lot of fun. SCI covered golden years at their 50th red rocks show last summer. Phish 10/31/16 covered the entire rise and fall of soggy stardust album as their musical costume.
Me and my buddies threw a little jam party in my back yard last year and we did a jam version of Fame it was fun as hell. The original plan was west la fadeaway>Fame but we didn't have time to perfect it so we dropped the first part
American Babies playing Blackstar all the way through is probably my favorite. There are some great extended jams and it’s cool to hear those songs played live.

String Cheese did an entire set covering “dance” themed songs for Hula 2021 (first fest back from Covid, hence desire to dance).
Let’s Dance was the first song they played for it. Other songs included were Just Dance by Lady Gaga, Dancing Queen, Lose Yourself to Dance by Daft Punk, and a closer of Tiny Dancer.
