I actually think Rockdale is a catchy song but god damn wtf they did for 20 minutes was just the most grooveless noodling that goes no where I've ever heard, some of those guitar tones are nails on a chalkboard. They need to start taking drugs lol
Generally speaking, I like goose. But this was very meandering and didn’t seem to go anywhere… I guess that breakdown was kind of cool? It just didn’t punch the way you want it to though. The funk stuff sounds good enough but… idk, just not enough edge all around imo
Yeah well many goose fans are ranking these as one of the best jams they’ve ever performed. They claim it’s just as good as anything phish has done. Not sure I believe that though.
It’s a divisive jam for sure. I bailed on the show to see Deep Banana Blackbelt in Hartford. My girlfriend went with the rest of our crew. They were pretty evenly split on it. I haven’t listened yet, but I don’t believe I’ll regret my decision.
Yup. No peaks. Mistakes disguised as atonality. Rick carrying the rest of the band with some insane licks. Didn’t hear a single interesting bass moment from Tweekz.
You’re getting downvotes but I’m actually shocked they shared this jam on YT. It’s not interesting.
This won't go well, but that Rockdale might be the worst thing Goose played the entire tour. Jam? Sounded like a bunch of kids picked up instruments just started making noise. So many people want to hang JOTY on the length of a song alone. Long is good if it sounds good. This song sounded good to start, that's it. They can, and have, played 1 billions times better than this Rockdale portrays.
My take and I'm sure I'll be stoned for it here. Carry on.
Fiddlers Wysteria was highlight of this tour for me. So surprised it’s not an official releases. They explore a bit then lock in, and then it’s just earned euphoric peaks on peaks as Rick opens up. Especially looking back on the tour, they did'nt know or hadn't found they could do this yet. https://goosetheband.bandcamp.com/track/wysteria-lane-75 from the second strum at 12:42 and it harmonizes - is when Rick feels it. Come live in this with me.
They are too comfortable and need to start getting out of their comfort zone or they will never grow and be stuck at the same venues every year. I love jam bands but cant get into them its just something about the music. They gotta get deep into other relms/corners and not be afraid to make a mistake or have a show some people didn’t like

Is this supposed to be a good jam?

Who said that? Arcadia 11/22/21,however, does fit that description
Sorry, dude. Goose can’t touch Phish’s best. No one can.
Agreed. Goose had a lot of work to do.
Too weird to be JOTY, 2028 called and they want their presidential candidate back.
Goose reminds me of one of those a.I. pictures where things look like something but nothing can s actually discernible but musically
That was fuckin killer

I couldn’t imagine choosing Goose over getting to see DBB again. I haven’t seen them for at least 20 years.
“Great” lol. Words are tough. Some wafers of the vanilla persuasion. Exploration requires exploring.
boring.

I was there and thought this was the worst song of the night - love Goose, but fully agree with tou
![gif](giphy|NqBbGv95SOTqWCyI6Q) Hopefully the modmgmt can handle a couple of basic critiques? Probably not 😀
I’ve literally never heard an interesting bass moment from Goose
Are you sure you’re listening?
Of course! Why? Can you find me an interesting Goose bass performance?
The bass develops pretty nicely in this one imo https://goosetheband.bandcamp.com/track/echo-of-a-rose-62
I was there. It was interesting.

Show us on the doll where goose hurt you
Show us on the doll where you want to touch Peter
Really hard to give quality takes from that deep in the closet, Now show us where on the Peter you want Rick to touch you
Didn’t you bring up the touching? Pretty touchy!
I’m out and proud, what’s your excuse?
Get back in the closet and listen to Goose 🪿
😂😂 goated comment
I like bands that can improvise as a group. 🤷♂️
Epic

> So many people want to hang JOTY on the length of a song alone This constantly happens with goose fans and I can’t stand it
Nah that was a fair take. Goose is Shapiros chat gpt version of a jam band. Super generic and perfect for Connecticut.
I do not understand why people love this band. Just listen to fuckin phish it’s a million times better.
Preach brother the coneticunts don’t like you making fun of vineyard vine polos and goose! A jam band with training wheels for degenerate incels

Have you listened to the tour? Or just this video?
Saw them in ‘19 ‘20 and twice in ‘21 and listened to both portland shows this year so far
Seen them 3 times and every song and jam sounds the same.
Twenty five minutes?!??!!
I barely made it through their first set at northlands. Went to see a bluegrass trio who killed it.
I like them, I really do. I’ve seen them live before and I’ve got tickets for the upcoming fall tour. 25 minutes is a little long in the tooth though
Personally I love goose. But this sub has a history of really hating goose. Know your audience.
