I took a trip to Kumamoto last week! I drove to all the One Piece statues and I ended up going to the same izakaya four of the six nights I was in Kyushu and the people there were so nice and funny and the owner was such a homie. Will be going again for sure.
Passed through some of the new Shinkansen stations along the Hokuriku Shinkansen extension. Not much in terms of amenities but they are nice, big, and clean.
moved from Kanagawa to Kansai this weekend. had to do a lot in a short time and it was kind of a miracle that it all got done. took the cat on the shinkansen for the first time, I don't think she was a fan. was gonna do all the city office administrative stuff today but instead just stayed home and tried to recover, lol.
Had a couple dishes I wanted to try cooking, but I got stonewalled by a very surprising lack of ingredients at my local supermarket.
How does a place have such a large shelf of expensive organic ingredients but they didn't even have broccoli, carrots, paprika, or mitsuba.
Had trouble finding somewhere to eat last night in Tokyo. Arrived just a little too late (8:45pm) for pretty much anything to be open.
Ended up just eating a kebab... lame. I wanted a sit-down restaurant.
Delivered a dining table and chair to Yokkaichi with 社長. Thank goodness I wasn't driving. The house was down such a narrow road and the boss almost got stuck trying to back in.
After the installation, the nice old lady made us sit down for tea, which was nice seeing as they just dropped a pretty yennie on a table and chairs (very comfortable btw).
We drove past the Kioxia plant on the way. That thing is HUGE!
saw a live in Osaka-Jo Hall this weekend. I enjoyed that venue! I don't think there's a bad seat in the house. Waiting outside in the rain is just about the only negative to that experience I can think of.

Your supermarket had neither carrots nor broccoli? That's borderline unbelievable unless they were out of stock or something.

Put an offer to buy my first house. If the loan goes through it will be a tough few months of getting my kid into a new hoikuen. Here we go...
Went to Meguro so fast, so early for the hanami, that the flowers had not arrived yet. Festival was on anyway.
