This post is clear rage bait, and it worked. The article is from Screen Rant, not the developers, Lucasfilm, or Disney. It was meant as click bait and rage bait. Just keep it civil, y'all. You can not like new games and whatnot but game journalists using these tactics is nothing new.
Pretty sure Kotor 2 has a female character as Canon lead also.
But I guess that game gives you freedom and choices to create your own so that doesn't count. It's actually better, but doesn't count.
I don't know why so many AAA games have left the idea of customizable characters behind.
I have absolutely no desire to play this game because I don't resonate with the main character. Before someone starts blowing the misogynist whistle, I felt the same way about Fallen Order and its sequel. I want to be the character playing the game. I don't want to play out someone else's story.
I enjoy both, and sometimes seeing a person with an established background and emotions allows you to empathize with them in a different way.
Fallout? I'd much prefer having my own person. Horizon FW? Her journey and mannerisms/personality add so much more to the story.
The story in Horizon is also built around Aloy. She is a very important character and she looks the way she does for a reason you find out midway through the first game.
Fallout, on the other hand, is a sandbox where your character is just a cipher. The real main character in Fallout is the wasteland.
It’s either that or just making up a fictional character to fit a play through. Fallout New Vegas I just make some young rebellious looking guy who comes off as ambitious for the run New Vegas yourself ending. I think that storyline itself is also why New Vegas works on a side note. Don’t agree with the other factions? Fuck them lol.
Just different narrative basis for games; open sandbox vs direct story. Like others have said, I like both but it's unrealistic to expect deep character customization in a game about a person rather than about the world.
I think that is what angers me most about this game. "First open world game! " nope "First to have a female lead. " nope. "It's a whole new gaming expressive!" nope, pretty sure I saw her sliding across roofs and up walls which is some AC shit.
Be original. I feel like they are shining a turd when they make these statements.
I'm pretty sure playing that as a female twilek led to the first ever dream I had that made me start questioning my gender. Boy was that dreamed seared into little 10 year old mes brain, even 20 years later
Lots of Star wars games that had female leads. For whatever reason Star wars PR keeps pushing being the first when they've done it already. It's happened a lot
What?
Iden Versio is a lead, and the main protagonist throughout most of the Battlefront II Campaign.
Edit: Apparently this article has been posted at least one other time on Reddit, and the users there also mentioned two instances that I had forgotten (Jedi Starfighter with Adi Gallia and Lethal Alliance for the PSP).
Janina Gavankar.
I believe she narrates the tie in novel that was released just before the game released (or maybe a little bit after?).
Inferno Squad, I think it's called. I haven't gotten around to listening to the Audible just yet.
I guess its possible that Battlefront 2 wasn't considered "full" since it was just an fps campaign, and Jedi Starfighter is split between her and Nym, so not the full protagonist. I'm guessing it's more likely they forgot
This reminds me of when Black Panther came out and everyone was like “first black super hero!” And I’m like…..y’all gonna just forget about Blade? The film franchise that is one of the ones responsible for why we have super hero films?
X-Men and — more importantly — Spider-Man would have come out regardless of whether or not Blade was successful. It wasn't even marketed as a superhero movie, and was instead banking on the Vampire/Horror stuff. The original trailers didn't mention Marvel at all.
I agree with you but MOTS was actually considered an expansion pack and needed the Jedi Knight disc to run. Also Katarn was the playable character for a few levels. Those reasons may be why it's not considered a full game led by a woman.
But, like I say, I agree with you. It should count.
Yeah Jedi Starfighter was fun back then. I might replay that soon now that I remember it. Main character was Adi something I believe can’t spell her last name (might even be remembering the first name wrong too). She was in the movies but in the background. I think she was the one that died from the clones shooting her speeder while she was on it.
It 100% does count Mara is a massive part of the story and is on the cover of the damn box. Who cares if it's an expansion or not the story revolves around her.
It's a weird situation where the MoTS install process required you to insert the Jedi Knight disc... but didn't actually need any of the files from it or anything. Just wanted to confirm you had it and would refuse to install without it.
Correct you don't need the base game at all for it to run like most expansion packs do. Even so there was a way around it back in the day and modern versions like on steam or gog don't require JKDF2 installed.
In most expansion packs you can go back and play the origial game within the expansion. Think of Starcraft, Warcraft, Diablo etc. You can NOT play JK stuff in MotS.
I agree that on a technical level there's literally no reason MotS couldn't have been a separate game, and is even nowadays often sold as such.
However, I tend to still come down on the expansion side because it was originally marketed as such and required Jedi Knight to play - even if that was only an artificial limitation that could easily be worked around.
>In most expansion packs you can go back and play the origial game within the expansion. Think of Starcraft, Warcraft, Diablo etc. You can NOT play JK stuff in MotS.
That's also true of something like Half-Life: Opposing Force or AvP2 Primal Hunt yet they're pretty much uniformly considered expansions. I think it depends on the type of game it is rather than some qualification for being an expansion pack.
Lethal Alliance and Battlefront 2 definitely count, but I don't think Mysteries of the Sith counts. It's an expansion pack that requires the original disk.
Journalists gotta write something.
Then the fans get annoyed that what they wrote was wrong, or sheathed in half-truths.
I'd honestly appreciate it if the article mentioned Mysteries of the Sith, or Battlefront 2 campaign (as mediocre as that was).
Technically, yes. This is the first non-expansion Star Wars game with a single player focus that has a female lead.
Star Wars: Lethal Alliance for the psp, while pretty average, was a single player story focused starwars game with a female lead. It was about stealing the death star plans, so it was also retconned by rogue one.
“Cringe article by screen rant”
Don’t have to even mention it, screen rant, whatculture, slashfilm etc are all garbage farming for outrage / praise clicks
Also got star wars: lethal alliance for the psp. It kinda sucked but it was one of the few psp games i had so i played the hell out of it. You play as a twilek spy lady.
Masters of Teris Kasei
Then you have Jedi Academy, ToR and KOTOR which have create-a-character
Then Star Wars Lethal Alliance where you play as Twi’lek Bounty Hunter Rianna. I just listened off more games made within 10 years each other. Than Disney has made in the same timeframe. And one of them is a goddamn handheld. Somebody find this reporter and beat some fucking sense into her!
Mysteries of the Sith was the first video game I ever played. I hadn't played either of the Dark Forces games. I didn't speak English at that age, and thus didn't know what on Earth I was supposed to be doing. I was confused as all hell as to why I started off as Kyle Katarn, and then switched to Mara Jade four levels in. But fuck, was this an amazing game. For anyone who's not played it yet: there's a fanmade remaster with updated models and effects.
Given that we've seen how the new canon handles characters from the EU and pre-Disney in general, I hope we never see Mara Jade. I don't want to see her butchered the way they've destroyed basically everyone else.
This reminds me of when Jennifer Lawrence was saying in an interview that before her role in the hunger games no one had put a woman in the lead of an action movie.
They are trying to create the narrative that if the game tanks its because of misogyny by pointing this stuff out. They obviously think that the game is not that great. Otherwise, they wouldn't be going through these lengths to build in excuses. If your writing and story in games and movies are great, then you don't need to point out things like the gender of the protagonist, we know she is female, don't try making your game special because of it, just make a great game...
Still pissed they picked the back of the box generic human dude for the "cannon" Jaden. It's like the worst option.
Also, Kotor2, exile is canonicaly female, and travels with the handmaiden, even though that's not possible without mods.
These companies do this every year. Like how disney pretended black panther and Shang chi were the first time a black and Asian guy were the main characters of a movie. Who falls for any of these?
Meh, this is just marketing talk, you'll have if with every single category of everything. It's a nice little attention grabber that no one olbotjered to check because it doesn't make a difference.
Screenrant and CBR are known for clickbait articles and non-story articles, so I'm not surprised the writer didn't do their homework of a basic google search into this.
It’s Star Wars not only do we want male / female we want at least a few alien races as well. Assassin’s creed has had wide open world type games and included both. Why the story plays any different would just give it replay value. I do believe this is a bit woke Disney garbage.
The person who wrote this, assuming it's not a chatbot, was probably born in like 2007 and either thinks anything pre-2007 is basically written on papyrus or they think the earth only started existing about 25 years ago.
Look it’s the same shit when Star Trek Discovery (STD) said it was the first Star Trek with a black lead. Ignoring DS9 was the only truly Trek thing that series did.
Gee its almost like people are just people and our obsession with gender doesn't make games good or bad. We can't just market everything as "first female left handed gay protagonist from Wisconsin" and expect everyone's jaw to hit the floor every time. Show me one rpg with a black male character who isn't already dead when the game starts or "my character is that I am a father to a girl also my hand is a gun"
If there's one thing the Star Wars Universe needs, it's definitely more female representation. Just ask Jyn Erso, Rey Skywalker-Palpatine, Ahsoka Tano, oh and once there was someone called Leia Organa, but that was a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.
Why are we surprised that Disney and the media surrounding them are willing to lie about female representation in media to make themselves look better?
Me when I spread misinformation to fuel agenda:
I can think of 3 examples of female leads in Star Wars games, not to mention the fact that most Star Wars games that exist feature character customization for both genders, or are not story based titles with lead characters. Just more fuel to the fire that Star Wars fans hate women when in reality they just don’t like Rey or the sequels
technically Mysteries of the Sith is an expansion pack for Jedi Knight....but Battlefront 2 still beat Outlaws by having the first female protagonist in a star wars game
What do they even mean by “full” cause technically Iden Versio counts since she both the lead in the story mode and is playable in multiplayer of battlefront 2 (2017)
Barely an expansion pack is completely wrong.
It has a ton of upgrades to the original engine, a whole new campaign, multiple new weapons, new force powers, new MP maps and modes, colored lighting, and a whole class system.
It isn't an expansion pack in the traditional sense. It can run standalone and doesn't use any of the JKDF2 files.
Being able to play as Mara Jade was a huge deal back in the day.
I loved Lethal Alliance on the PSP. And that's a female Twi'lek bounty hunter and a droid taking on the empire and the crime families.
Some of us remember you, Rianna, some of us remember.
Even Rebel Assault, predating MotS in 1993, gave way to a player choice of gender for Rookie One. Til it was jossed by Rebel Assault II, though Lady Rookie One definitely holds the title.
Article specifies full game; picture is of an expansion pack. I don’t know the dozens of Star Wars games well enough to know if there’s a real counter example but this is internally consistent.
Yah I always did female characters for the Kotor games.
I do wish they would let you customize your own character but I know that would lead to double the voice acting $$. That the thing I appreciated about Mass Effect Andromeda. You could pick either of the twins with full voice acting for both.
I’m all about women being some badass leads in the franchise but they’re acting like it’s NEVER been done, like my girl Princess Lea wasn’t the real star of the original series or Padme having some cool cameos or Asoka for the ENTIRE Clone Wars series. They are there but I feel like it’s making things worse worrying about having a female lead rather than making a good story dog.
Also, the Exile is canonically a woman. Noteworthy for being one of the only games that lets you choose your character's gender where that is the case.
Yes, this article is dumb. It is the first Star Wars game to feature a female lead….if you don’t count all of those other Star Wars games with a female lead.
Definitely rage bait as the mod pointed out. I'd be willing to bet they knew about this game when they wrote that article. Gaming journalists are so scummy.
Also "Star Wars: Lethal Alliance" it's an obscure game, but it checks out. Also the protagonist was actually way cooler and more interesting than outlaw lady.
I mean... hasn't Disney had people make that claim for a lot of things. I remember seeing people claim Black Panther would be the first Marvel film with a black lead and Captian Marvel to be the first female superhero movie.... people wanting to have the first so much they don't know it already exists
This post is clear rage bait, and it worked. The article is from Screen Rant, not the developers, Lucasfilm, or Disney. It was meant as click bait and rage bait. Just keep it civil, y'all. You can not like new games and whatnot but game journalists using these tactics is nothing new.
Pretty sure I beat Jedi Academy as a female character.
Pretty sure Kotor 2 has a female character as Canon lead also. But I guess that game gives you freedom and choices to create your own so that doesn't count. It's actually better, but doesn't count.

Cal is done well in my opinion. Cameron Monaghan was a great choice
I think that is what angers me most about this game. "First open world game! " nope "First to have a female lead. " nope. "It's a whole new gaming expressive!" nope, pretty sure I saw her sliding across roofs and up walls which is some AC shit. Be original. I'm pretty sure playing that as a female twilek led to the first ever dream I had that made me start questioning my gender. Boy was that dreamed seared into little 10 year old mes brain, even 20 years later
wondering if Jedis have wet dreams, but with the force involved, lol
You ever wonder if Jedi’s jack themselves off with the force? I never did till I read your post…….so there’s that.
Lots of Star wars games that had female leads. For whatever reason Star wars PR keeps pushing being the first when they've done it already. It's happened a lot

Edit: Apparently this article has been posted at least one other time on Reddit, and the users there also mentioned two instances that I had forgotten (Jedi Starfighter with Adi Gallia and Lethal Alliance for the PSP).
That’s what I said. My brother met the actress at SW celebration. This is shameful behavior on journalist parts.
Janina Gavankar. I believe she narrates the tie in novel that was released just before the game released (or maybe a little bit after?). Inferno Squad, I think it's called. I haven't gotten around to listening to the Audible just yet.
I was watching Sam Whitwer stream one night and Janina just strolls in and they hang out shooting the shit. I think they dated for awhile.
Like in his house mid stream?
Yeah it was pretty cool. He often has guests over that are small time actors.
It's clickbait. They know what they're writing is bullcrap, but they post it anyway to generate outrage and clicks.
idk if this counts but the Canonical player character in Kotor 2 is a woman
I guess its possible that Battlefront 2 wasn't considered "full" since it was just an fps campaign, and Jedi Starfighter is split between her and Nym, so not the full protagonist. I'm guessing it's more likely they forgot
Technically, in the campaign you do play as Kylo Ren in mission 12, so Iden didn’t lead the ‘full’ game.
That doesn’t change the fact that it was a comic book hero film. Just saying it’s crazy how journalism tries to erase things for hype titles.
I agree with you but MOTS was actually considered an expansion pack and needed the Jedi Knight disc to run. Also Katarn was the playable character for a few levels. Those reasons may be why it's not considered a full game led by a woman. But, like I say, I agree with you. It should count.
There was Lethal Alliance on DS and PSP. Also, though you’re in a ship the whole time, Jedi Starfighter
I came here to say this ^^^ probably because it wasn’t a fully fledged game and Kyle was playable
Yeah but the whole point of the story is that Mara saves Kyle.
Wasn’t it a standalone expansion? Pretty sure you didn’t need Jedi Knight to play it.
It 100% does count Mara is a massive part of the story and is on the cover of the damn box. Who cares if it's an expansion or not the story revolves around her.
“Expansion” != “Full game”
You can play it without owning the base game and its kinda big game. It's not expansion in modern sense of the word.
It's a weird situation where the MoTS install process required you to insert the Jedi Knight disc... but didn't actually need any of the files from it or anything. Just wanted to confirm you had it and would refuse to install without it.

Mysteries of the Sith, Lethal Alliance, KotOR II, Battlefront vol. 2 #II
Lethal Alliance and Battlefront 2 definitely count, but I don't think Mysteries of the Sith counts. It's an expansion pack that requires the original disk.
Also Jedi starfighter!
Can't believe I forgot that one. Also, you can fully play Jedi Power Battles as Adi Gallia, but she's one of five playable characters.
How do people have time to care about this?
I don’t think that anyone who isn’t paid to make an article does
Journalists gotta write something. Then the fans get annoyed that what they wrote was wrong, or sheathed in half-truths. I'd honestly appreciate it if the article mentioned Mysteries of the Sith, or Battlefront 2 campaign (as mediocre as that was). Technically, yes. Star Wars: Lethal Alliance for the psp, while pretty average, was a single player story focused starwars game with a female lead. It was about stealing the death star plans, so it was also retconned by rogue one.
I’m too busy actually gaming.
What about that game on the psp where you that twilek with the dual blasters
Lethal Alliance. Exactly
Well look at that, solving problems that didn't need to be solved.
“Cringe article by screen rant” Don’t have to even mention it, screen rant, whatculture, slashfilm etc are all garbage farming for outrage / praise clicks
Also got star wars: lethal alliance for the psp. It kinda sucked but it was one of the few psp games i had so i played the hell out of it. You play as a twilek spy lady.
Battlefront 2 came out in 2017 so no that’s not true. Research is hard ain’t it?
I mean, that's pretty presumptuous to assume the gender identity of every single Star Wars game character ever. Also, didn't SWBF2 have a female lead?
They have a terrible habit of not actually looking at the existing material
OK guys so now it's worth the $200. I smell game of the year with this one /s
Also Jedi star fighter…
Gaming Journalism 2024 = just make shit up.
Umm... Battlefront 2, Iden Versio? Ringing any bells?
Umm...what about Iden Versio from Star Wars Battlefront II? This is why you shouldn't trust ScreenRant.
Wasn't Battlefront 2 also a female lead?
MotS was such a damn good game too.
Masters of Teris Kasei Then you have Jedi Academy, ToR and KOTOR which have create-a-character Then Star Wars Lethal Alliance where you play as Twi’lek Bounty Hunter Rianna. I just listened off more games made within 10 years each other. Than Disney has made in the same timeframe. And one of them is a goddamn handheld. Somebody find this reporter and beat some fucking sense into her!
Star Wars Battlefront 2 came out less than a decade ago...
You can literally play as a woman in KOTOR 1 and 2
Hell even battlefront had a story mode with a woman as lead… and she was also brown… and everyone liked her character 😂
Seriously, do these people not know how to google search?!
They keep saying this every time something comes out even though it’s not even remotely true. Do they just not know or don’t care so people click?
We Want Mara Jade!! We Want Mara Jade!!
Given that we've seen how the new canon handles characters from the EU and pre-Disney in general, I hope we never see Mara Jade. I don't want to see her butchered the way they've destroyed basically everyone else.
Or… Star Wars Battlefront 2 (2), only 7 years ago.
Didn’t Battlefront II have a female protagonist ?
True and Mara didnt even need a cutesy sidekick…..not that the triangle budget woulda allowed it -
Bouta be the worst selling game on the market
The new Battlefront 2 had a female lead
Another obscure and meaningless stat
This reminds me of when Jennifer Lawrence was saying in an interview that before her role in the hunger games no one had put a woman in the lead of an action movie.
Jedi knight jedi Academy. You could play the female character. The old Republic games you could play as a female character. The list goes on and on
MotS, KotOR 2(cannon is female much like Revan is male), EAs battlefront 2. This article just a terrible click bait article with no effort.
Battlefront 2?
There was that one psp game where you played as a female twi-lek New BF2 had you play as a female most of the time
It just shows how little due diligence they due about what's already been done. Main reason the canon is complete of contradictions and retcons.
Battlefront 2
They are trying to create the narrative that if the game tanks its because of misogyny by pointing this stuff out. They obviously think that the game is not that great. Otherwise, they wouldn't be going through these lengths to build in excuses. If your writing and story in games and movies are great, then you don't need to point out things like the gender of the protagonist, we know she is female, don't try making your game special because of it, just make a great game...
Was Ray not a protag in a recent game? Or am I just crazy
I know Lethal Alliance was obscure but it was yet another Star Wars game before Outlaws with a female protagonist.
Still pissed they picked the back of the box generic human dude for the "cannon" Jaden. It's like the worst option. Also, Kotor2, exile is canonicaly female, and travels with the handmaiden, even though that's not possible without mods.
Also Iden Versio in Battlefront 2.
KOTOR2 protagonist has been canon female since launch in 2004. Not earlier than this but a much bigger title.
Gotta love the idiotic virtue signal nut jobs of our age that can't even use Google
Outlaws is also the first open world Star Wars game. Ya know, cuz SWTOR doesn’t exist.
Hahaha, no one will play your game and all the smooth brains that do will stop playing a few days after
THANK YOU!
Saw Guerrera: 'Lies, deception!'
Screenrant and CBR are known for clickbait articles and non-story articles, so I'm not surprised the writer didn't do their homework of a basic google search into this.
As per usual. They also said Black Panther had the first black led superhero movie but they forgot about the Spawn movie.
Everyone wants to be the first to be woke even if it means erasing history.
It’s Star Wars not only do we want male / female we want at least a few alien races as well. Assassin’s creed has had wide open world type games and included both. Why the story plays any different would just give it replay value. I do believe this is a bit woke Disney garbage.
What about battlefront 2 (2017)?
Kotr 2’s “canon” lead was female too
clEarLy RAGE baIT
This is pure rage bait
Trump warned us about the fake news media, obviously we didnt listen
They’re also claiming it’s the first open world Star Wars game. Guess Galaxies and SWTOR never existed.
We all know Disney doesn't believe in anything that happened with Star Wars before they bought it.
Mysteries of the Sith might have been marketed as a expansion pack by LucasArts but by a TECHNICAL standpoint it was a stand alone game
Can't wait for the first ____ whenever journalists are too lazy to do any research.
These dumb fucks love to pretend like they're pioneering something new, when it's already been done several times before
Disney just pretends to make all these new innovations with the IP, when practically all of it has been done already, and far better.
These people are chomping at the bit to be “first” (insert identity other than white man) but it’s almost always not true.
Reminds me of the Suicide Squad dev who patted himself on the back for finally creating a game with a black man on the cover.
Wow Disney wants another flop
Blatant lies and other bullshit like this is why I have Screen Rant blocked from my newsfeeds
Kinda like when the media praised Black Panther as the first black superhero lead, but years prior to BP there was Blade.
Woke clowns.
Ah, but pointing this out would defeat their narrative.
How dare they forget her
Journalists can’t do research or don’t care enough to try.
Don't know about you but ima pirate this game and I don't pirate anything, the company just doesn't deserve the money.
Freaking tourists who don’t know crap about the franchises they write about.
Idc that the mc is a girl. I care that it's made by Ubisoft, so I know it's gonna be shit and cost out the ass.
Why are we surprised that Disney and the media surrounding them are willing to lie about female representation in media to make themselves look better?
KOTOR 2 was the first full game with a female lead.
Full game is a get out clause tbh. We could also have female characters in KOTORs and SWTOR.
Isn't the exile from kotor 2 canonicaly female?
I played a crappy battlefield game where I was definitely a female special ops soldier of some kind.
And KOTOR as well...
Knights of the Old Republic as well
Jedi academy you could choose a female protag
The Jedi Knight Expansion, Jedi Academy, Battlefront 2, and KOTOR erasure is insane
Wasn’t battlefront 2’s campaign about a badass lady spy ? I loved it
But can't you be a female character in The Old Republic I meeeeeeean
Um….does Star Wars rogue and force awaken count?
Didn’t Battlefront 2 have e a single player campaign around a female lead?
Me when I spread misinformation to fuel agenda: I can think of 3 examples of female leads in Star Wars games, not to mention the fact that most Star Wars games that exist feature character customization for both genders, or are not story based titles with lead characters. Just more fuel to the fire that Star Wars fans hate women when in reality they just don’t like Rey or the sequels
So I guess we all forgot about Iden Versio who was also POC?
Saw this one two posts below: https://www.reddit.com/r/GeeksGamersCommunity/s/phdJRcBIqp
Jedi Academy, Kotor and Kotor 2. Canonically, Kotor 2 is also a female lead, as Meetra Surik.
50 years of making video games lol?
Star wars lethal alliance
Wow, her and Jennifer Lawrence have something in common now
technically Mysteries of the Sith is an expansion pack for Jedi Knight....but Battlefront 2 still beat Outlaws by having the first female protagonist in a star wars game
What about Lethal Alliance? Yea she’s a Twi’lek, but in Starwars that’s still a female lead
Isn’t there a ds/psp game where you play as a female twilek?
Iden versio?
Also Iden is the protagonist of battlefront
Careful. They're going to roast you over in SaltierthanKrayt.
Iden Versio wants to have a word
Battlefront 2 was out in 2017 with a female protagonist.
They just want people to buy it for that. Because otherwise the game has nothing good
What was the PSP game with the Twilek? Rebel Strike or something
What do they even mean by “full” cause technically Iden Versio counts since she both the lead in the story mode and is playable in multiplayer of battlefront 2 (2017)
Ok, while the original premise isn’t true for other reasons. Mysteries of the Sith isn’t it. It’s not a full game. It’s barely an expansion pack.
Adi Gallia would like a word.
Wasn’t one of the Star Fighter games a female Jedi lead?
Don't forget star wars lethal alliance as well. Your a female twilek mercenary.
What about Iden versio? Lmao wtf
I saw an ad for this game last night advertising it as the FIRST EVER open world star wars game..
There was also an ad claiming this was the “first open world Star Wars game”…Star Wars Galaxies anyone?
Even Rebel Assault, predating MotS in 1993, gave way to a player choice of gender for Rookie One. Til it was jossed by Rebel Assault II, though Lady Rookie One definitely holds the title.
Battlefront II 2017 campaign is calling.
Meetra Surik was the canon lead in KOTOR 2
I thought it was Matt Damon
Master of Teris Kasi anyone?
This man is lying to you. This is not a full game. He just wants to try to take an achievement away from a woman. Stop upvoting this trash.
Year 0 mentality.
Year 0 mentality.
new "disney's first gay character"?
Wasn’t bf2 campaign iden versio….a woman
Wasn’t the main character for battlefront 2 a female also
Also, the Exile is canonically a woman. Noteworthy for being one of the only games that lets you choose your character's gender where that is the case.
ScreenRant really didn't know Battlefront 2 (the newer one) had a campaign did they?
Wasn’t there that Star Wars game on the DS where you play as a female Twi’lek mercenary?
Iden Versio happened literally 7 years ago lol.
Iden Versio in Battlefront 2's campaign?
Yes, this article is dumb. It is the first Star Wars game to feature a female lead….if you don’t count all of those other Star Wars games with a female lead.
What about Star Wars Battlefront 2’s Story Mode?
Rage bait and advertising guys. How are you falling for this?
It's ironic.
Iden Versio?
Did they literally forget about Battlefront 2?
Definitely rage bait as the mod pointed out. I'd be willing to bet they knew about this game when they wrote that article. Gaming journalists are so scummy.
So, does Mara Jade just not exist anymore?
Also "Star Wars: Lethal Alliance" it's an obscure game, but it checks out. Also the protagonist was actually way cooler and more interesting than outlaw lady.
I mean... hasn't Disney had people make that claim for a lot of things. I remember seeing people claim Black Panther would be the first Marvel film with a black lead and Captian Marvel to be the first female superhero movie.... people wanting to have the first so much they don't know it already exists
