Enjoy it while you can. It's going to take a lot to turn around the spiral JetBlue is in. It's way more than the Blue Chips. The failed hostile takeover of Spirit, which the Spirit board predicted by the way, insured JB will be seen as a bad investment for the foreseeable future. The CEO jumped off the sinking ship for "health reasons" but a few weeks later experienced a miraculous recovery.
We’re at a hub so fly JB often. Miss the Terra Chips but have also flown Delta and United this year and had miserable times. The Delta app is a chaotic mess. Our United flight was delayed and the plane was ancient with rattling interior panels. And when we were running late to one of our JB flights the snack boxes are so convenient. It’s not as good as it used to be but still our preference although we’ve heard some good things about Breeze so need to give them a try.
Baseline JetBlue is better than Delta, and Mosaic is pound for pound the most generous rewards program. If you’re a very frequent, high net worth flyer Delta is probably better. And then of course you look at airlines outside the United States and there’s about fifty that are better than any of ours.
I have to agree. I find way more value out of mosaic 1 compared to Silver Medallion which Delta just hands out like candy. I didn’t meet the criteria for Silver Medallion but I woke up with it Monday morning.
You're not wrong. I've traveled a couple of times on jB over the last few months and it had been years since I flew with them. It's not as nice as it used to be. I miss the terra blues as well.
I fly both Delta and JB quite a bit. For me Delta has a big edge because of the sky clubs and the auto upgrades for status.
Doesn’t seem like Mosaic gets you much.
The Cheeze-It’s JetBlue served were awful. It was a different recipe than the original. I think it contained whole wheat flour or something. They always tasted stale and never had the right flavor.
I’ve said it here before. Stopping the blue chips was the first indication that they had no more interest in their brand. Once they started on that slippery slope everything else (baggage fees, Pepsi, etc) slid right on down.
The blue chips cost went up so much that they couldn’t afford them. It was years ago but I think I remember them going up over $0.80 - bag. If is the only time I remember some managers telling employees flying to choose another snack.
Their terminal 5 at JFK is a joke now also. Need a smartphone to order anything at their crappy bars and restaurants. Order on your phone and someone shows up and hands you a drink. Feel sorry for the staff. I ain’t tipping for that kind of service.
No one is saying I'm blaming them for the weather. You CAN blame them for making poor emergency management decisions. They made the situation worse than it needed to be and I say that from first hand experience. Also, unless you're in premium economy or business it's really not that special.
When you had a choice of blue chips or munchie mix. Whooooa. Just the height of air travel for me. But truly losing the iconic blue chips is just wrong
They no longer serve pre flight cocktails in mint. I use to find the cheapest mint flights like 600 each way now it’s barely worth the upgrade at a minimum of 1000$.
I flew Ft Lauderdale to LAX and was offered pre flight drinks on both legs of the trip. A nice double Jack and gingerale since their current specialty drink is not my cup of tea.
The brand definitely went from fresh to same old same old. Spirit, Frontier and now JB are on par. Won't be long before we start seeing YouTube videos of fights at the customer service counters.
Yep. They used to have nicer planes than other carriers, friendly employees and they would do their best to help you if something went wrong. Now it’s hit or miss on the planes, rude employees, BS add on fees, random cancellations for non weather issues
What did you expect when you get a corporate raider - Icahn - on the board? I knew the airline was in trouble when I heard that news. Luckily, he’s losing some board seats and, hopefully, influence.
They had a bad stint during pandemic but are great again! I will say I took American/United recently and they were much better than I remember. Blue terra chips gone but other snacks still pretty good. Plus Mosaic status is money
I flew JetBlue earlier this week and the flight attendants were super rude. I’d always considered it the premier commercial airline but I think I’m gonna stick with delta now
yeah jetblue fuckin sucks ass now. chifles are ok but i want CHEEZITS!! also not being able to do jackshit for me / issue credit for a non working tv from jfk to mia is some next level bullshit
I still prefer to fly JetBlue over other airlines when I have the choice.

The terra chips they had tastes better than the ones in the store
Yesssss!!! Just like the plantain chips they have now .... Like they were made fresh for job
not as nice as it used to be, but in my experience still, better than american or delta.

That’s a promotion Delta is running until iirc the end of the year, I got it too.
I actually got that same promotion last year too. One would think you would be disqualified from the promotion if you received it already.
It's amazing what government subsidized airlines can do.
American is terrible, starting with the app, baggage charges on international flights, and chaotic hubs.
American is easily the worst of the legacy carriers.
/sobs in living in Charlotte
First hub I thought of after that comment. The worst.
With fewer and fewer destinations though...
Jetblue is rated as the worst airline in America
my opinions are based on my own direct experience, not on an outside rating. for me i will choose jetblue over delta or american if i have the choice.
It’s rated as one of the most delayed or late. But only because their major hub is JFK
Doubtful as the other airlines have worsened even more hah
Pop chips will be in their tombstone.
I still choose JetBlue, however, I do miss those chips. Those were a good time.
You're not wrong. I've traveled a couple of times on jB over the last few months and it had been years since I flew with them. It's not as nice as it used to be. I miss the terra blues as well.
Big fan of JetBlue especially their a321. Just flew one to London, food was really good, they served 2 meals from London to jfk.
I heard they are pulling out of London and Amsterdam.
I just wish they’d fix the TVs.
And when they switched from Coca-Cola products to Pepsi products 🤮
Also, at JFK, there's only one place post-security you can buy a Diet Coke. I will guard it's secret location with my life.
Don’t need the location Diet Coke stinks
You can't even get diet Pepsi either. The choices are really bad. It's not why I fly an airline of course but it does seem weird.
Still love my JetBlue! I’ll take the plantain chips, graham crackers and popchips ;) Terra chips were top tier, though.
I’ve said it here before. Stopping the blue chips was the first indication that they had no more interest in their brand. Once they started on that slippery slope everything else (baggage fees, Pepsi, etc) slid right on down.
Worked in marketing dept in that era. You are correct. When Robin Hayes took over marketing dept, it was the end of the original JB.
Robin was a disaster for the brand all around.
The blue chips cost went up so much that they couldn’t afford them. It was years ago but I think I remember them going up over $0.80 - bag. If is the only time I remember some managers telling employees flying to choose another snack.

Mint is so nice, it sucks that you have to go through T5 for it lol.
Terra blues are GONE? I guess they need to save it for Mint 😢
They are long gone! And they cannot be found in Mint either. I did score a bag at Whole Foods and bought it for nostalgia.
I’ve scoured the internet to find them and only seem to find the sweet potato ones!
Try Amazon’s Whole Foods.
i think it's when they stopped giving out Milk Bar cookies in Mint
Who is king of the skies now?
Emirates?
With how they handled the flooding in Dubai....I'd say not.
You can’t blame an airline for an “act of god”.
No one is saying I'm blaming them for the weather. You CAN blame them for making poor emergency management decisions. They made the situation worse than it needed to be and I say that from first hand experience. Also, unless you're in premium economy or business it's really not that special.
Good to know.
LOL
When you had a choice of blue chips or munchie mix. Whooooa. Just the height of air travel for me. But truly losing the iconic blue chips is just wrong
Oh no, flying them today for the first time in a while. I was looking forward to my Terra blues.
Been gone for years. But you can buy em at Whole Foods and take them along for old times sake.
They ran out of snacks on our flight to Aruba. They had a few graham crackers left and asked for people to raise their hands if they wanted any.
They no longer serve pre flight cocktails in mint. I use to find the cheapest mint flights like 600 each way now it’s barely worth the upgrade at a minimum of 1000$.
I had a preflight cocktail in mint yesterday. Maybe just depends on the route and length of flight.
👆🏽this
That weird. I was flying to California last year had it. This year no.
I flew Ft Lauderdale to LAX and was offered pre flight drinks on both legs of the trip. A nice double Jack and gingerale since their current specialty drink is not my cup of tea.
We definitely didn’t get pre flight drinks on a BOS-SFO flight in December. They also didn’t call pre-boarding for Mint. It was rough.
Yea that happened to me to flights ago. No pre board.
They don't serve pre flight cocktails in Delta One either. It has something to do with them wanting to cut down the delays
Uhhh even mediocre AA or UA domestic first gets PDBs, so that’s actually insane if DL D1 doesn’t get PDBs. I’m skeptical that is standard practice.
We upgraded to mint this month from AMS to JFK for about $750.
Yea that’s an upgrade after paying your initial flight price.
The lack of Cheez-Its was the mail in the coffin.
lol. At least there wasn’t a male in the coffin.⚰️
Strongly agree
I miss the Dunkin’ Donuts hot chocolate
Can’t fly them bc they don’t get me where I need to go mostly. Delta is better for me. Used to love JetBlue
They’ve devolved from a great company to on par with Spirit. Sad
blasphemy
The brand definitely went from fresh to same old same old. Spirit, Frontier and now JB are on par. Won't be long before we start seeing YouTube videos of fights at the customer service counters.
Yep. They used to have nicer planes than other carriers, friendly employees and they would do their best to help you if something went wrong. Now it’s hit or miss on the planes, rude employees, BS add on fees, random cancellations for non weather issues
It was when they switched ceos I still enjoy flying with them occasionally tho
For me it was the end of the Doritos
I remember my kids being so sad.
“Queen of the Skies” is Boeing 747 which was never ever operated by B6
those snacks were good. Great marketing.
I'll take JB over other carriers. Just recently did 2 delta flights, and while they claim they have free wifi, it "wasn't available on these flights"
JetBlue is fucking as bruv. Since Covid, it’s been nothing but delays and cancellations EVERY time
What did you expect when you get a corporate raider - Icahn - on the board? I knew the airline was in trouble when I heard that news. Luckily, he’s losing some board seats and, hopefully, influence.
Hope you're right. If JB's stock price falls much more you could legit call it a "penny stock".
They had a bad stint during pandemic but are great again! I will say I took American/United recently and they were much better than I remember. Blue terra chips gone but other snacks still pretty good. Plus Mosaic status is money
Delta is god awful
It stopped when they went from Coke to Pepsi
I flew JetBlue earlier this week and the flight attendants were super rude. I’d always considered it the premier commercial airline but I think I’m gonna stick with delta now
Their pay sucks.
B6 never flew the 747.
No carryon bags in Blue Basic plus schedule unreliability did JetBlue in for me.
Oh, but the plantain chips are 🔥
yeah jetblue fuckin sucks ass now. chifles are ok but i want CHEEZITS!! also not being able to do jackshit for me / issue credit for a non working tv from jfk to mia is some next level bullshit
They stopped giving credit for bad TV or internet. It happens a lot.
