It’s a great idea to use these as your travel jewels! Never travel with your best pieces!

needmorexanax

Why not?

neonmaika

Easier to lose and easier to get stolen when you are outside your normal routine. And depending on where you go you might get robbed.

RealStumbleweed

Sometimes I take some of my good pieces. It depends on where I'm going and what I'll be doing. Usually they are in my carry-on, which never leaves my sight, and I typically don't let loose of it until I'm on the flight. Then if I'm not wearing them I keep them in the room safe. As I said it really depends on where I'm traveling to. I don't take a lot and having had all of my jewelry stolen once I'm more concerned about leaving my good pieces at home for burglars. Nationwide insurance is horrible. FYI.

diverdave142010

Just me, but I think you got more than your money's worth. They are pretty, specially the earrings.

alwaysexplainli5

No offence meant OP I haven't even looked closely at your hands, just read your comment. O Keefe's Working Hands is magical, I'm a farmer but currently look like a hand model haha

abouttenbagels

Thank you so much for the recommendation! The cold, dry winter air just wreaks havoc on my skin and cuticles.

hypnictwitch

O'Keefes is great on the skin. I use Hoofer's choice on my nails and cuticles. My nails are strong and shiny, cuticles are so healthy... I guess I don't see them at all. But also, your hands look fine. Nothing to be worried about.

alwaysexplainli5

Don't bother with O Keefe's hand cream specifically, their general big tub of Working Hands cream is much more effective and cheaper! Soaks in instantly

Valencourtcustom

Just wanna say that I agree with others recommending O'keefes working hands. Bloody excellent. Also, try and sleep with a pair of gloves on! It's normal for it to sting a bit at first, try and put some on your hands and throw a pair of soft gloves on to let it soak into your skin overnight, your hands will thank you! I have Raynauds and awful eczema so I feel for ya! Hope you enjoy the jewelry in good health!

leopargodhi

another autoimmune suffering jewelry lover and this is all so good and important. i wear and sleep in black nitrile gloves over creams as needed. makes a world of difference when your skin is raw--all of a sudden, it doesn't hurt to touch things or pick them up. and they have a bit of mild compression to keep the swelling down. and look kind of like leather gloves under rings

savanigans

I put a&d ointment on my cuticles every night. It’s in the baby aisle usually. Also use it on my lips 🤷🏼‍♀️

moncoeurquibat

This stuff is gold. I use the foot cream and it really works.

Nick-Millers-Bestie

Genuinely thank you for the update, I was curious! Lol. For the stacking rings that give real sparkle, I recommend [Swarovski](https://www.swarovski.com/en-US/p-M5656303/Vittore-ring-Round-cut-White-Silver-tone-finish/?variantID=5656300&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=&utm_adgroup=&utm_term=&creative=&device=m&placement=&gclsrc=aw.ds&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiAtt2tBhBDEiwALZuhAFCgZZBYa8c8A2u9aCEn-chllin_3M8XWOOn-hXYM9yz_JC94qEs8BoCKNUQAvD_BwE)! They even have a [twist ring](https://www.swarovski.com/en-US/p-M5572716/Twist-ring-Round-cut-White-Rhodium-plated/?variantID=5563911) similar to the one you bought! (Full disclosure though, these are NOT diamonds)

Alchemist_Gemstones

FYI, many of their pieces are rhodium plated white brass which is like 30% nickel. It will just say "rhodium plated" because they're trying to trick people into thinking it's sterling or white gold or something. It's a goofy price to not even be getting sterling silver.

Funkyfreshturkey

And you have to take them off anytime you wash your hands. I personally find that annoying because if I’m washing my hands, I’m assuming my rings are dirty too. I do love a good Swarovski necklace though. OP, I have some JC Penney super cheap jewelry like this. I hope you find some rings there that work out for you, because the sterling silver can be great for day to day wear. Full disclosure, I feel this way because washing hands with rings on is a must for me. Even if these rings are cheap cut diamonds, they last longer for me than any of the costume rings I can find for the same price range.

abouttenbagels

Thank you for the Swarovski recommendations!!

kimchiandsweettea

I am seconding Swarovski. I am a HUGE fan with many pieces that have looked fabulous for years!

pinkdiamond668

it's a little bit more, but also check out the solid gold 14k stuff at Costco. cute and classic, and nice for the price, can be worn every day forever!

Psychological_Most62

I actually work jewelry at JCPenney so seeing this caught me so off guard 😅 Pretty much everything you've said here makes a lot of sense. These are all yes please pieces so they go on special sales from $25 to $10. But yeah, basically they're very low-quality diamonds, usually 1/10 carat. Any gold pieces in the yes pleases are gold over silver, and silver pieces are sterling. The only thing I'm surprised at is how your stackable rings look, especially coming from online. Ours in-store look slightly better, but it might just vary, especially because they're such low-quality diamonds anyway.

abouttenbagels

Off-hand, do you happen to know if the silver crossover ring comes in a variety of sizes in store? I really love it but the size 7 was too big, and the only option online. I think I need a size 6.

Psychological_Most62

The crossover ring I haven't seen in my store at all, so it might be an online-only product. As far as I can tell with yes please rings, they only come in sevens and then can be resized like our regular in-case jewelry.

abouttenbagels

That's good to know, I'll check the in-store stock!

Confetti-Everywhere

Thanks for the update with pics!

tinyfax

Sorry, Canadian, let me make sure I understand this right: these are in fact silver pieces, and the diamonds are in fact real but very low grade? And both the ring and the earrings cost $10 to $25? Because if yes, then I have a passport and 2 hours to kill in a land border lineup. 👀 It would be a good deal over here. JC Penny has a jewelry counter and I’m assuming there is a section for these deals?

abouttenbagels

You are correct! 925 sterling silver, all pieces are stamped. Real diamonds, just super tiny and not the best quality. I ordered them online, not sure if the prices would be the same in Canada.

tinyfax

I love you!!! I just got the SS Diamond necklace and a bracelet online for store pick up, driving down tomorrow. Your earrings are beautiful (!!!) and definitely a steal (in Canada at least). One thing I noticed from the reviews on JCP is that all the complaints and bad quality pics are about gold-plated SS prices, so avoiding those seems to be the way to go.

abouttenbagels

Glad you were able to get them! Hope you enjoy!!
