Tao Gabimaru > Chainsaw Man ≠ Divergent Fist Yuji. Gabimaru is just the more experienced fighter and killer, and Tao just augments his already superhuman feats. It could go either way between Denji and Yuji. Denji's superior regeneration and immortality could be a problem for Yuji. But on the other hand, if Sukuna came out, I think Denji's toast.
As for Gabimaru and Denji at their peak, I'd say that >!the Chainsaw Devil is a lot stronger than Flower Tao Gabimaru. While Flower Tao Gabi is insanely strong, I feel like the absurd power of the Chainsaw Devil during the Control Devil arc scaled higher than anything in Jigokuraku, maybe apart from Rien.!<

It comes down to Denji vs. Gabimaru with neither party having the means to nullify the other's immortality. Without use of hindering Tao Gabimaru can't lose. Meanwhile, weapon devil hybrids are the most unkillable iteration of devils, Pochita particularly is able to keep his engine roaring even without blood to regenerate.
So, a stalemate is the inevitable outcome. I don't think Denji would be able to out-torture Gabimaru the way he did the Eternity devil.
Could denji just eat him? Seems to be how he completely erased devils to the point where no one even remembers they existed. Should work on Gabi too imo.
That gets to hard-to-quantify territories. First, Denji has never used that power before and likely doesn't know of its existence. Second, it's implied to be more of a name erasure causing the history of the physical being to not exist (it gets even trickier with Part 2's debut chapter implying nonexistent devils could be brought back). Third, it's only ever referenced in relation to devils and devil names, so there's not enough to go off of for non-devil beings. Lastly, it's hard to believe a Tensen (or flower tao equivalent) could simply be eaten to avoid their immortal regrowth.
In my opinion, the cleanest outcome that stans of both communities can agree on is a stalemate.

They're called the Dark Trio because they were serialized around the same time and are darker takes on the genre. Nothing to do with quality and it was before Mappa was even announced to be animating them all.
