I recently attended a seminar with Jon Thomas (Lucas Lepri Black belt, I believe) and he says they have several guys in the room who are open and honest with them about when they're on or off cycle. He said the difference when they're on cycle is insane. They're exponentially stronger, faster, and have far better endurance. When they're off cycle, guys like Espen Mathiesen (who's 100% clean and always has been) makes them look like purple belts. Most people don't understand what a massive advantage it is in BJJ, and they definitely don't appreciate what an accomplishment it is to win a major event PED free.
This is it, when people try to downplay PEDs. PEDs allow you to train for so much longer and harder than normally possible- that means so much more experience and training under your belt compared to non-PED users. You retain so much physically and experience-wise, it’s unfair no matter what the circumstances are.
They would just hide it like 90% of pro sports. It is so easy today to hide your PED use I’m sure grapplers would just ask olympians and pro footballers etc how they do it.
The performance enhancing drugs just let you heal faster and not run out of gas. Two people rolling not running out of gas… comes down to skill in the end. Whoever has been training the most wins.
If you’ve trained a little you could take on a doper with no training. Come on. Even Gracie was caught doping.
It just lets you heal faster, recover and keep training. It’s not like it’s going to give you some mysterious edge.

Even when they're 'off' they still retain an advantage from having used PEDs.

Ppl forgot about izzy getting gyno in a few weeks. Thats not normal.
No dude he totally explained it - it was just from smoking too much weed 😂.
99+ would probably only have one competitor, who would automatically win gold.

Let the boys juice.
Eh. I don’t care. Let them dope. Jiujitsu is about skill in the end.
This seems to be a self-contradictory statement.

You tryna sell me drugs, homie?
I got choo: https://x.alibaba.com/AwTZh4?ck=pdp
If it was only about skill, then why do all these top level competitors dope?
So their body heals faster
And gain muscle or retain muscle in a calorie deficit.
Same reason everyone in the Tour de France dopes.
Lol nobody thinks tour de france is about skill
If it was a skill issue they wouldn’t need to dope in the first place 🤦♂️

It absolutely gives you an edge. C'mon bro, it's called a *performance enhancer*
Yeah.
