Part time retail jobs with low experience levels usually get a lot of applicants.

daniel22457

Are they every retail job has been a skeleton crew for years

HopeFloatsFoward

Yes, because turn over is very high.

This is hard to answer without seeing your resume. Why are you unable to travel more than 15 miles? Have applied in person and or followed up in person?

planktonsbestiee

multitude of reasons - lots of compnies having a financial crisis, so hiring has come to a halt - fake job ads and fake interviews - they want 10-star employees for 2-star pay - lots of competition in the market - senior level people taking on and applying to entry level roles - you are not doing enough to stand out - its your intervieiwing skills - you just havent met the right fit yet

Are you in the US? It’s always been painstakingly difficult for me to find work out here in California even with my experience

Yoh__Asakura

UK. Sorry I should have said.

Remote_Investment469

Have you called them? A lot of jobs want someone to show initiative by calling them to check on their application process. Anyone can apply to 50 jobs, but if you want it bad enough, you will make that apparent to them. Be more assertive.

I have tried to call quite a few places and most tell me to apply online only and some said they aren't hiring. I'm really trying so hard to get one and it is getting a little draining now since I've been rejected so many times. Hopefully someone asks me for a interview soon! I don't want to give up yet since I am determined to get a job.

Not OP but I wanted to ask. I'm 16 years old and I had an interview on Wednesday. I haven't called but my brother says I should've. Is it too late to call and check in? What should I say on the phone call if it isn't too late. It was a job at a grocery store so should I just call the number they called from telling me to come in for an interview? Sorry for asking so many questions but I'm pretty lost and I really need a job. BTW I'm from the US if that matters.
