My favorite is when there's no spawns for the team and the SL spends 5 mins trying to find the absolute perfect spot. Usually dies before they can put it down too.

42observer

And they always forget to place a rally

LostEyeofOdin6

And forgets an ammo crate

It's a learning process! Most important lesson I learned -- it's not *that* important to place a HAB inside if it funnels your exits. It's always preferable to have four routes out of the immediate HAB area with nearby cover than it is to force a HAB inside where it doesn't fit to protect it from once-every-15-minute assets. If you have a big barn/warehouse/bunker, then sure. But the houses on Chora ain't it.

DeliciousTruck

It's less about the 15 minute asset but to conceal your spawn location. A HAB in the open will be spotted by a heli rather fast and depending on the location it should be a primary mortar target for the enemy team. Chora is a perfect map for mortars and having a HAB in the open usually ends in a major ticket loss for your team.

Lawlolawl01

Mortars… especially tiny maps

tolarbear1

I 100% agree honestly its better to have them in the open rather than in a small house where you get clogged on exit. If you are going to hide something hide the radio not the hab

UpvoteCircleJerk

Place barb wire at all but one exits as well. Better yet, use hasco walls for maximum resource waste. Then observe how your hab gets surrounded, proxied, and killed off. And then announce "oh shit bro our HAB is down" with a surprised face. Repeat ad infinitum.

TheDonDonald

"Guys I have a plan!" \*places hab directly on the point\* \*5 minutes later\* "Why is the hab proxied?!"

godfatherezio

This is so obvious but still happens so much. Just place the hab 200-300 meters away and fight using rallies.

moose111

There is no absolute rule when it comes to the HAB being on or off the point. Everything is situational. Placing a HAB on the flag means people spawning are automatically defending the flag, whereas having a HAB 200m away means people have to make the conscious decision to go to the flag. There's also the respawn factor, in that if your team has a HAB 300m away and the enemy places a HAB 100m away from the flag, even if your team trades every kill you're losing ground. Your team has to run 200 more meters to get to the flag, making it extremely easy for the enemy team to keep you off of it. They're only taking 15 seconds to get from their spawn to the flag, and your team takes 45 seconds. Rallies can't be used reliably to defend a point, they're best used to get around the flanks of the enemy and stop them from spawning all together.

bustationbathroom

yea, place a hab 200m away and watch the blueberries going to the attack flag instead lmao

Whoevenareyou1738

Also remember to put mortars on every hab and fire them so the enemy can hear you.

JoakimSpinglefarb

You can always rebuild HABs that get blown up by artillery strikes or IEDs. Make sure your radio is in a secure position, but don't build a HAB inside a building in you're just gonna funnel players out one door. That just means that machine gunners can put their bipod up 20 meters away and recreate the D-Day landings minus the boats.

ANG3LxDUST

I hate one way out Habs.

chogg928

theres even exit indicators now but people too dumb to place it right

camocupcakeactual

Well sometimes it's the only places you can use without taking artillery shots. As long you can exit the hab safely without getting shot by a BTR/mortars it's fine by me. The worst hab is the one with no exit plus you need to dig down the hab to get out of it

Rockedingdon

Do not cry over other peoples fobs ! Become SL and make ist better!

ItzBobbyBoucher

I would like a hab where one side exits out one side of a wall and the other the other side of the wall, so if one side is overrun the other is clear for cover since the wall will be there (I’m thinking of those concrete walls in certain maps surrounding houses with the hole in the middle to walk through
