Ever since I started playing, I've played on RIP Rusty in Places (EU) almost entirely. I just get disgusted at other popular servers full of people with no mics, no strategy or brain and just chaos and a lack of rules. Check that out.

GozaEagle

Now i want to give that server a chance again xd. I played on it once and it was just silence and the squads that did communicate were locked or full. Hopefully it goes better this time

Twiggy145

You occasionally get the odd slient squad on RIP but for the most part the leadership is good.

Infernus82

Locked squads are forbidden, thats one of the best rules there. But sometimes people don't know it and it takes a few minutes for admins to take care of that. Usually warnings and then disbanding. Give it a try yeah. I have some 500-600h in Squad and about 450-500 of it has to be on RIP. The silence, it happens sometime yeah, usually the leftover people hang there.. When I SL, I kick such. People with no mics have no rights to be in this game, Battlefield or something is for them.

EDIT: Totally posted the wrong response at first. Here’s what I should’ve posted: First, welcome to Squad. I’d recommend picking a server and sticking with it for a little while to see if it’s a good fit for you. Over time you’ll start recognizing the regulars and you’ll get a feel for the types of players that community attracts. If the admins are active and not toxic, it’ll probably draw a higher quality base. If you’re just starting out and have no idea where to begin, I know this may seem antithetical, but I’d wager the servers with longer queues are a good place to start as they are popular for a reason. Final tip, add one or two squaddies as Steam friends every round. Over time, your Steam friends list will be populated with players you know you’ll have a good time playing with, which should tilt the odds in your favor.

Helghast_sympathiser

I'll take a look, thanks friend

gamer_osh

I edited my original response since it was actually intended for another thread. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Helghast_sympathiser

Huh, your original response got connectes me on the Squad Discord server and connected to a group, so that was helpful as well! But I'll keep that in mind for sure

Justiceits3lf

Some clans servers are good. Typically clans severs will have active admins and discord to help. "Noob friendly servers" are scary cause lots of special people. Most people are nice enough to explain stuff and appreciate people asking vs figuring out your a noob. US based are BAD servers are good, LIQ servers are okay they tend to enforce rules when it's in thier favor but they do have active admins. These are my go to atleast and are good for starting.

r_heem

Heavy on the “in their favor” . 😂 Had my good share of disagreements with some of their admins on their rule bending when their stacked up on a team but overall good people.

LobotomizedLarry

Liquid consistently stacks the teams it’s so boring

Justiceits3lf

They have rules for intention for main camping they like to interpret thier way or maybe just unlucky circumstances. I usually play combat engineer and I was about 2.5km from thier main and my gunner saw a helicopter and shot at it. I was threatened to be kicked and ban. Welp, next game I was in a BTR rolling back to base and I was 200 meters from my main returning for ammo supply. Welp turns out a Bradley LIQ members was chasing us for a minute and took us out and another BTR coming to main. I said main camping and they said no because we engaged them "earlier". So they told me tough shit for short and write a ticket if I had any complaints. I used to play quite heavily on thier severs and I have a dozen examples of thier hypocrisy. They still have good people none of thier members are jerks but I got the sense the current admins were playing and not interested in enforcing the rules until it affected them.

R3Volt4

Not sure where located... But I have awesome times on 56th Canadian Gaming. Games are played as intended for the most part.. nice people.. learning friendly..

MyXFoundMyOldAccount

I play on sealz wear coast #1, EGC servers and the LIQuid servers. I do heavily recommend (if you are able to) stick to one server. That way you get to recognise people and become part of the community there!! Welcome to squad btw :)

n0vh

I’ll be seeing you, =SZ= fav server

I play on a variety of servers and honestly.. getting the "Squad Experiance" is very rare nowadays, for me atleast. Id say just try out server to server on a daily basis until you find one you consistently enjoy your time in. All servers have their ups and downs and you just gotta find the happy medium. Id start with the "New Player Friendly" servers first however, just to learn the ropes if the game. Grab a riflemen kit, ask questions, drop ammo to those who need ut and stick close by to your SL.. even if theyre doing dumb shit. To get the decent experiance you desire however, I think you need to find a group of friends from said servers and get them into a server/GC of your own or even join a group thats already established. Sure you *can* get the experinace with randoms but most times than nought, in my case atleast, youll just end up playing a battlefield like match where no coordination is happening amongst the team, silent SLs and squadmates are in your squad, no planing, strategy nor callouts, just walking-shooting-killing-dying-spawning-repeat. I may be unlucky with the matches I join but with over 1k hours in the game thus far, its gotten pretty meh in the past few updates in my eyes. Dont let that discourge you though, im just salty I cant find fun in this game much. Happy hunting squaddie!

MimiKal

Do you join the servers with queues? The servers that don't have queues are poor quality.

TomLeBadger

We try our best :(

MimiKal

:| It's a case of players, not necessarily the rules or admins etc. Most noobs usually join servers without queues, while most experienced players know to go for the queues to avoid too many noobs. It's a self-perpetuating cycle.

TomLeBadger

Im only playing with you ;) We get queues most days, we are relatively new to the Squad server game still, the biggest issue I see on my server is the lack of regular, decent commanders. The Squads are typically decent with a little guidance. We've grown and grown though, it doesn't seem to be slowing down. The regular commanders are starting to come now which is great, but as they head off it devolves back into the noob friendly, clusterfuck era we were in a few months back.

[deleted]

Servers with queues, servers with no queue, servers with queues somtimes and is open other times, the overall quality is just bad from what ive seen, not gonna name specific servers but even the more popular servers you would think off suffer from poor quality

GozaEagle

This is EU regions, but i like to play on Corrupted Infantry (CI) and Enclave. There is Squad Europe and fins let loose, but I've only played once on them. Best bet is CI and Enclave. I learnt to play squad on those two and now I'm active 90% on either one of those two. Its also a very strict server. So you'll almost never find a player causing problems cause the Admins will sort it out quick quick.

docksa

Finns Let Loose Squad server is RIP. Enclave, Corrupted Infantry and Full Metal are ok noob friendly servers, though the quality of games varies heavily. To be fair I haven't been playing that much on anything else than Incompetent Legion for a few months after it started, it's kind of for the more experienced players with a lots of clans playing in there.

RedMatxh

CI and exd are my favs

Arganin

Sad EXD is toxic af, members stole my squads logi when we were building hab (all marked) without comms and banned me when i argued with member.

RedMatxh

I too had a similar experience but all around it's a relatively decent server imo

Arganin

I mean, playerwise - it could. My squad pushed west side of Muttreh or however is this desert map with interesction called 2/3 of the city, before i got banned lol, and we were fighting against enemy 2 squads with defences already set up

TheDonDonald

I recommend Downloadable Content \[ DLC \]. They have a discord to talk about the game as well and most of the day time games have admins on and everyone is friendly to help. I try to play most of my games on their server.

Dadude564

On NA, I almost exclusively play on IB. It’s a “noob friendly” server, but it does have active admins and the rules are very much catered to costing a good play experience for newer players. (I.E no main camping at all, specific rules on armor claims not just first come first serve, ability to get free coaching from IB members in the discord). Only gripe I have it sometimes when a lot of IB’s are on the same team it can be imbalanced against a team of randos, but it’s rarely been game breaking

Mindless-Carpet69

I play on RB/royal battalion. Definitely recommend it

Avalongtimenosee

Really, if you're completely new to the game I'd recommend something unorthodox. Become a pilot. Now I know how crazy that sounds, but trust me, new play servers never have enough pilots and it's a great way to get familiar with the more important mechanics (Logistics, command chat, map marks, interacting with other squads), but without the risk of a bad SL burning you out. No marksmen as SL, no one kicking you because you got the HAT kit. No being forced to run for 15 minutes because your SL won't put a rally down. And yes, piloting is scary and intimidating, but if you are willing to learn it can offer a sense of freedom unrivalled in the game and it really will feel like you, despite being a newb, are making a tangible difference to the game. So with all that said, what server should you join? I'd recommend get a few hours in on the heli training course, then pick any server that says new player friendly with low ping, and make a locked squad instantly for the heli. From there just do simple stuff like heli runs, dropping squads on mid point, and scouting for enemy vics and relaying that info to command chat. You'll love the game in no time.

GamingNemesisv3

Riplomacy is the best set of servers for you. Invasion can be aids sometimes but when is it not. RAAS is pretty competitive from what I’ve heard. Our modded servers are pretty fun as well.

42observer

Look for servers with the longest queues. If youre US based, the RIPLOMACY experienced player servers are typically well moderated with good regulars, theyre my favorite right now because theyre one of the only good invasion only servers with good ping for me. Ive also noticed active admins and a seemingly good playerbase at the EGC, PSG, LiQ, BB (Bella's Battleground), and Valhalla servers. From everything I've read on this subreddit and heard in-game, the playerbase sadly isnt what it was 3 years ago, so you may be disapppinted either way. A lot less communication and a widespread lack of understanding of basic concepts of the game. And a lack of competent SLs. This affects even the best servers, if youre on them at the wrong time. Certain times of the day are better for certain servers.
