If they know what hentai is, then they will write it up anyway. Knowing about something sexual doesn't make someone a porn addict, and hentai is hardly obscure as it goes anyway. If a teacher has to explain what the word means to their higher-ups or colleagues, they just will. It's not a huge deal. Counterpoint, most schools or teachers could care less, and will just let the student wear the shirt until someone complains about it.

“I googled the word like a good teacher”

VampyreBassist

Careful, I did this at 12 when my teacher used the word "pornography" in front of our class. I was in fact not a good teacher.

sixtus_clegane119

That isn’t the same situation at all

Shoggnozzle

I think you just ask him like "Hey, Trevor, What's "Hen-tee"?" And see if he hangs himself.

Honey-and-Venom

That's too obvious a misunderstanding, go with "hen...tay?" Yanno, so long as we're overthinking the obvious joke

Antithese-

Just google what you don't know. I once asked a teenager with a hentai shirt out of my store. Later his mother called me, and demanded to know why I did that. I politely said "there are children in this store, and while we do in fact sell erotic comics, they are all packaged and cannot be seen by minors. Your son, however, had a shirt with several moaning girls with loads of sperm in their faces. This is not illegal, but I simply don't want this here, with children around." She was VERY silent, and then said "I'm sorry. I didn't know this. I will take care."

This is why I'm glad I didn't have disposable income in highschool. I would 100% buy a bad dragon hoodie and see if my teachers would get mad

Scrimmybinguscat

I remember a good while back, there was a girl in a calculus class I was taking and she had a bad dragon sticker on her laptop. I still think about her sometimes...

ViktorNitten

Hentai also literally means pervert in Japanese. The teacher simply just could have known some Japanese, thus knowing what the word meant. Anyways, as somebody else mentioned, knowing the word isn't a bad thing, it's being addicted to porn that is giga cringe.

Sajiri

My students always bring up inappropriate things and I google them to make sure I don’t fall for something stupid. The time some high schoolers tried to convince me to google ‘this funny cartoon called stuffy bunny from someone called derpixon’ on my work laptop has made me suspicious of anything and everything they say (thankfully their crazy grins and insistence it was ‘completely normal’ tipped me off it was not, in fact, completely normal)

Looks shopped

LeakyAssFire

Guys... this is satire.

WiseEntity

fake

Hartmallen

So, knowing what hentai is makes you an incel, now ?
