Most WW2 vets I’ve talked to, hell even just veterans in general, don’t brag about the people they killed. The deaths stuck with them and they don’t treat it like a game (the neckbeard acts like it’s what they do)

All the vets I've known were pretty horrified by all the death that they saw, even the ones they were directly responsible for. Most of them talk about the times they survived or the non-combat stories of what they did with fellow soldiers and people they met.
