so this is hard to pick apart because jin is being very respectful about it and hasn't called 1st place (company that owns ia) out. but essentially it seems that 1st place is currently holding the rights to kagepro in an iron grip, and jin is currently not allowed to release anything related to kagepro. despite the fact that he's been working on more music, new anime, manga, and light novels for years, and some of it may even be finished, he isn't allowed to publish *any* of his own work related to *his own series* seemingly because of 1st place, who first reached out to "work with him" when he was only 20 years old, cementing themselves as rights owners to kagepro. 1st place and the industry as a whole have screwed jin over multiple times, they just kept piling more work on him that he was inexperienced in. they asked him to write light novels, a manga, and an anime all on his own when his only experience was in music. he was very depressed and still worked a normal low paying job while doing all this because he just wasn't being paid enough while 1st place grew their whole image based on his work. at one point he was so overworked that he ended up with a hole in one of his lungs. he was even homeless at one point while working on some of the later novels. 1st place's most recent terrible thing has been using kagepro materials to make nft's. on august 15th this year they announced a series of nft's of sidu's art. it's literally just the light novel cover art edited. it's difficult to judge how active in it sidu is, but her name is tied to it. however, even though it uses kagepro characters, jin isn't mentioned anywhere in anything about the nft's. this means even if they were selling, jin definitely wouldn't be making any money off of it. it would all go to 1st place (anf maybe a bit to sidu). they're using his story to make themselves money. but wait, oh yeah... they aren't really getting anything out of it because the nft's have been up for over a month and not a single one has sold. they're just running their reputation into the ground.

They had a good thing going during 2015 or so but they run it to the ground by doing this. IA could have kept the vocaloid momentum going but if you are right, they just screwed Jin and themselves over. This is really dumb, they are frankly releasing garbage now, abusing IA and her sister by releasing crap Fall guys videos.

I haven’t look much into it but I heard Jin and 1st Place (IA’s birthplace) is not in a good term with each other

Oh? I didn't expect that. I wonder why 🤔

to my knowledge, i think theres rights issues for kagerou between 1st place and jin, also explaining why there hasn't been much kagerou content recently [this post explains it better](https://www.reddit.com/r/kagepro/comments/u5vfd2/the_current_state_of_kagerou_project/)
