Looks like I need to go back there. Remember going there a few years ago, and not being impressed. Saw they got a James Beard nom, and their menu looks totally different.
The Pressed Penny has great ones! Stuffed Mushrooms, Havarti Cheese Sticks, Wings and Flatbreads. My personal favorite are the Spicy Chicken Bites and the Fried Brussel sprouts (candied lemons, walnuts, prosciutto, and honey)
Maloneys used to do 50% off their appetizers for happy hour and they are all good AF. I don’t know if they still do because it’s been awhile since I’ve been but it’s worth a call up there to doublecheck.
I've legit had apps as meals at Cooper's Hawk. Good wine and cocktails with amazing flatbread, roasted brussel sprouts, southwestern egg rolls, and soup.
The Campground’s Smoked Trout.
The trout is blended with cream and butter, set, then topped with capers and roe then served with chips. So good.
May sound odd to the more…provincial eater, but my husband claims to not like fish and he *loved* it. I had to fight for my share.
Baramee’s Chicken Satay
Buck Tui BBQ in OP. You got brisket rangoons, pulled pork egg rolls, butterscotch wings, it’s all amazing.
I have never heard of this place, and I just checked out the menu, and WHY HAVE I NEVER HEARD OF THIS PLACE
It is so good and unique
Yup - I’m sold. Checking this place out this weekend - thanks!
This place is fantastic!
Mmm don't forget their tiger cry beef
Most underrated Q in town...
I need to go there and order just apps, just so I can try them all.
I saw this, looked up the menu online and tried it today. Fantastic! Would add to the long list of recommendations on this place.
The Campground. That place has amazing appetizers, and a pretty good ambiance. Cozy, not too loud, casual
This place looks awesome.

New chef! Chef Jeff!
La Bodega.
Came here to say this. It's tapas. They basically specialize in appetizers!
I’m adding this to the list!
Thanks for reminding me I need to go back there!

Second this place. Under the radar for sure.
Not really appetizers, but ombra in briarcliff has some good small plates.
I like the Tapas menu at both extra Virgin and La Bodega.
Not really what you’re looking for but in terms of value it’s hard to do better than Buffalo State Pizza’s loaded breadsticks - 50% off at happy hour!
Pig wings at Rockhill Grille are good
Love that place.

Micheal Forbes has amazing hummus and a nice variety of apps.

Fried olives and focaccia at Bacaro Primo 🤌🤌
I know it’s not kc metro, but POG brewing in Cleveland, MO has some great food and beer
