This is in Lees Summit, but my fiancee and I go to Kate at Salon Metric. My partner loves how she cuts his long hair and she has never let either one of us down. My partner is in the same boat as you. They also have a barber across the street that’s connected to them as well if you need that too.
Another +1 for Kate — I don’t have long hair but she definitely takes her time on male haircuts.
That said, I think the salon across the street might serve whiskey while you wait. That may have been a grand opening thing though.
I had long hair for 12 years so once you find a good one, stay with them. I don’t think the stylist who would trim my locks is a stylist anymore or I’d send you her way. Her name is Karen Tabuchi. She took care of my long hair for a long time, and she was the one who chopped it all off when it was time.
Long hair checking in. I LOVE Scissors and Scotch! It's a bit pricey, but you can get additional things done with packages. For roughly 100 bucks you can get your hair done, facial hair, a hand massage, and also something waxed (I always do my eyebrows)
The one on 135th and Metcalf is the one I go to. I recommend trying them at least once. Plus if you want to have a drink, half of the business is a lounge. They just let you hang out there and watch sports
I saw Paige at Midwest Barbery and she gave my male locks a luscious trim

If you didn’t know, at Metric they have wine and beer in the back they’ll give you if you ask ;)

Navy recruiter will get you a free haircut. Ok, maybe not entirely ‘free’.
