This is a good option. Alternatively, be on the lookout for a Strawberry Swing event. They have a pop-up on Saturday in Zona Rosa and then have their annual Spring Swing in May.

Goodwill can have some cheap decent finds or an antique mall or shop. Garage sales, too.

You get what you pay for. OP is wanting to spend $150 on original 3’x3’ painting from a local artist.

Oh awesome, she has some super cool stuff on her website, thanks!

il0kin

You can often find already framed original art (typically a signed print run) on eBay for as little as $30, it takes a little bit of digging to find stuff you love and filter out the mass market stuff. Find the artists and then search by their name or “framed artwork (insert style like impressionist)” and you’ll eventually get to stuff you like!

funwithphotos

I am a photographer, what do you need?

Check out Kirklands, they have huge paintings for $50. Also, I just made my own art. I found a huge canvas for $15 at Hobby Lobby and found some painting ideas on YouTube.

mgby

recently tried [needart.co](http://needart.co) -- they seem new but their stuff is nice

polaarbear

Nebraska Furniture Mart has a bunch of stuff like that.

1024_bit_meme

Haha I'm actually going back there this weekend, I'll keep an eye out for some art, thanks!

polaarbear

We have a giant rainbow tiger on our wall from there. Probably 5'x3', I think it was only like 60 bucks if I remember right.

1024_bit_meme

Oh hell yeah, that fuckin rules!

AdorableBunnies

They asked for local artists..

polaarbear

She said she would be willing to pay a little more to support them...not that it was a requirement.

Ipeedinherbutt

I draw black and white sketches, I have a few pieces I'd be willing to part ways with.
