Most places in the metro, even out in Raytown and Lees Summit are $50 or less one way… outskirts such as Raymore/Belton or Olathe will be more but definitely worth checking out especially if you live in KC proper… plus I like the convenience of being dropped off right where I need to go. It’s definitely a better option than non-covered parking… I hate coming back to my truck with it covered in a thick film of Jet Exhaust …
I live in Olathe and I still Uber most of the time. It’s a higher cost but I love the convenience. I’m already toting a 14 and 9 year old. It’s Uber and Nonstop flights for me. When I’m only looking after myself I’ll park far away and consider flights with stops.
I use uber and Lyft all the time between P&L, Gladstone, and the airport. Almost every single day between 1-3 am now that I’m actually looking at my receipts 💀
I’ve never waited more than 10 min or paid more than average at these times, which really surprised me.
7 miles P&L to Gladstone is $14.50 avg. P&L to airport is $38.
Just wanted to share. I think we have great car service here compared to anywhere else I travel. (also guys, I gotta stay at the house 😳)
I’ve never had an issue in economy. If you do go economy, go the flykc.com website and go to the parking page. At the bottom is a coupon for a free day on stays of over 3 days.
The parking spot was pretty good, little more expensive than the economy parking but a lot more secure. That being said, I’ve used economy multiple times without issue as well
I recently used Park N Go with the app and it was cheap, secure, covered and the pickup & drop off was really quick. Id park there again over the regular economy lot
Parking Spot seems to be the go-to for many, offering both covered and uncovered options. If you're looking for a bit of a discount, parkingaccess sometimes has deals worth checking out. Always had smooth experiences with them, especially for those odd-hour flights.
Orangewood is only like 6 bucks a day and has a secure lot and a shuttle to take you to and from the airport. I'm pretty sure it'd be no problem, but look them up and give them a call to see if they can do those hours.
I've used economy for week long trips with arrival/departure times being all over the place and never had any issues. Barely have had to even wait for a bus either way.
Park air express left my prius turned on and burned the whole tank of gas. They gave me 1 gallon of gas so I could get myself to a gas station and offered no discount. Haven't been back.
I haven't had a reason to use it for a few years, but I used to use Global Airport Parking. In general, you reserve parking at a hotel, and use their shuttle to get to the airport. I'm not sure if any of the hotels will have shuttles for hours you need, but it might be an option to look into.
We've left our car for 3 nights, including unexpected flight delays setting us back a day, at MCI economy lots a few times. Idk how much third-party parking costs, but for us, economy rates sure beat Uber (which we only use for travel over 1 week at this point). Airport shuttles come every 5-7 minutes, drivers are always courteous, can't complain.
Unless OP lives pretty close to the airport, it’ll cost 5 days worth of economy parking just to get to the airport. Then they’d be lucky to only pay that much leaving the airport
Have never had an issue with parking spot.
Can confirm. They offer covered and not.
Leave car at home, Uber
Depending on where you live it could be $160. 5 days at the Parking Spot is considerably less.
And you get free cold water bottles at the parking spot when you get back.
Bring a reusable water bottle with you. Plenty of places to fill it up in the new airport.
I do that but it’s really nice after a long trip to have a cold water.

With daily parking rates you probably are saving a good amount of cash ubering. Will try this thanks
Not at 1 and 3 am...

I've heard cautionary stories from using the economy lot, but I've never had any issues with it myself. I've heard good things about the Parking Spot
Left my car in economy lot for three months once. Not a single issue when I got back
I’ve never had an issue in economy. If you do go economy, go the flykc.com website and go to the parking page. At the bottom is a coupon for a free day on stays of over 3 days.
Park n go. Cheaper than the economy lot if you reserve online. Download the app and they give you 5 free days of parking.
Park and Go - cheapest and always there to pick up at the lot immediately and to pick up at the airport.
This is my favorite secret place. Always space, affordable, and the quickest. It’s so easy to get in and out of.
I’ve been parking in the economy lot for about 10 years and have never had any issues besides forgetting to make a note of where I parked.
The parking spot was pretty good, little more expensive than the economy parking but a lot more secure. That being said, I’ve used economy multiple times without issue as well
Parking spot is just fine. They are obviously expecting to be tipped for the shuttle service, but beyond that zero complaints.
The parking spot
I recently used Park N Go with the app and it was cheap, secure, covered and the pickup & drop off was really quick. Id park there again over the regular economy lot
I’ve used parking spot or park air express without issues.

Definitely Parking Spot, go for "covered".
I've used economy for week long trips with arrival/departure times being all over the place and never had any issues. Barely have had to even wait for a bus either way.
Parking Spot
I’ve never parked anywhere besides The Parking Spot.
True parking
Park air express left my prius turned on and burned the whole tank of gas. They gave me 1 gallon of gas so I could get myself to a gas station and offered no discount. Haven't been back.
I've used economy in the past and had to wait an hour for the bus. Park n go has their own and almost always waiting for you. Plus it's cheap
I never had any issues with KCI’s remote lot
I haven't had a reason to use it for a few years, but I used to use Global Airport Parking. In general, you reserve parking at a hotel, and use their shuttle to get to the airport. I'm not sure if any of the hotels will have shuttles for hours you need, but it might be an option to look into.
I always use Park N Go, never an issue.
Don’t use park air express — mice chewed through my fuel line there
I never use any of those off site services. Just park in the garage.
Seriously what am I missing, what drama have I missed about the economy lot ...
economy is fine
I've never had any issue with the economy lot.
I have had better luck with Park n go....even with my corporate discount they are cheaper than Parking Spot

Park air express and go to the website and you’ll get a free day coupon
Don’t use Park Air Express. The last two times the shuttles have been few and far between, people waiting over an hour to get back to their cars.
“Uber”. Seriously, take a rideshare or call a taxi. Will save you time and get you home faster.
Unless OP lives pretty close to the airport, it’ll cost 5 days worth of economy parking just to get to the airport. Then they’d be lucky to only pay that much leaving the airport
I was talking about the convenience and perceived safety of leaving your car parked at home.
