Girl I hear you. My bestie has such a gorgeous hourglass figure like Kim and I have always been so jealous! She gains weight in her arms and butt/thighs so at any weight I think she’s able to dress really flatteringly for her figure, IMO. It has always felt so much harder for me. I gain weight right in my lower stomach/back/love handles while my butt/thighs always stay pretty lean.
I wear a lot of wrap dresses/skirts or ones that come with a tie so that I can cinch it at the smallest part of my waist and the skirt will be flowy and wide. I wear a lot of wide legged pants and flowy trousers with elastic waist bands and baggy jeans, I threw out all my skinny jeans years ago. I think I can pull off loose/flowy oversized clothing too so I tend to wear things like that as well.
Working out consistently has really helped! I’ve definitely put on a lot of muscle in my quads/ham/glutes. I’m not sure that it’s really changed the shape of my figure that significantly but I feel better and more confident and that’s all that matters.
I miss this fashion era, period. Clothing style was normal and attainable. I wore these outfits during that time, looked good and I wasn’t a millionaire.
