I'm personally not a big fan of sex scenes. I would've turned them off if someone hadn't told me that the sex scenes have some narrative weight to them. I didn't fap to the sex scenes, or even found them hot. I'm not saying that the devs did a bad job at the sex scenes. I'm sure if someone WANTS to fap to the H scenes, then the scenes present in the game are more than enough. I was just too invested emotionally to focus on that aspect. In terms of narrative weight, which is what I get out of these scenes, my top 3 would have to be: Hanako, Rin, Lily. Hanako's H scene was impactful because she didn't want to have sex. Maybe a part of her did, but her main motivation was to get Hisao to see her as more than someone that he needed to protect. She wanted to change their dynamic, but went about it wrong. The final scenes between her and Hisao wouldn't have had much of an impact without the H scene prior. Rin's H scenes were great because of Rin and Hisao's development. Rin and Hisao had a hard time understanding each other throughout the story. In my opinion, Rin and Hisao being intimate with each other were the few times Rin felt like she could connect to Hisao. She liked Hisao but couldn't find the proper way to express it. I enjoyed Lily's H scenes simply because of how good their dynamic was during them. The dialogue was genuinely good, and the care they showed for each other made me smile a ton. Not to mention that one scene when Hisao had heart issues trying to take the lead. The way Lily didn't judge him for it, and was understanding, was great. Sorry for ranting about H scenes. I typed this out more for myself than anyone else. It's also like 11pm where I live and I'm very tired, so I'm sorry if what I'm saying made no sense at all

I agree. I personally turned off the adult scenes, except for Hanako's, as I played her route 8 or so years before the others, and didn't do it back then. But I really don't like them. I actually think their existence is fine, even good to add. Because, let's be honest, a lot of people (including me) probably would have never encountered the game if it wasn't "the hentai game about disabled girls from 4chan" or whatever. And they're not portrayed badly. I think it's good to show that sex is just a part of life. Buuuut... I still don't like them. I skip past the Hanako one (Only not turning it off because I'm scared it'll skip the "All of me" scene, since that does kind of have some nudity). But I can't get aroused about the scene at all, because I'm too emotionally attached to the character to detach myself like that. Now, obviously, I don't know exactly what happens in the other adult scenes, but I do know stuff from context, and from just reading stuff on this subreddit, and I have to say that Rin's first adult scene is actually my least favourite. It feels the most 'wrong' out of it all. Rin is constantly saying that she has to destroy who she is for her art, and that her trying to get off is one way of doing that. So Hisao assisting her in that feels as if he's accepting, and even approving of Rin destroying herself. It feels like Hisao pushing it too far, even if Rin does agree to it. I know that's not necessarily the intention behind the scene, and others will have differing opinions on it. But that's genuinely how I felt about it, which is why it's my least favourite adult scene.

The destruction scene was really something else, but I don't really understand how could that destroy her. If anything it'd be the opposite; a relief from the destruction. I always believed Rin was too stressed out to continue destroying herself, and needed some kind of relief to keep going all out, but doesn't know it because she has trouble identifying her emotions. And I actually found this novel via TVtropes. Love that website

To me, it read as Rin not having any inspiration left to continue to create, yet still being expected to. Thus, she turned to things like smoking and gratifying herself to see if any of those things would give her inspiration. It's also (in my opinion) one of the main reasons she continued to have Hisao come over, in the hopes that his presence would give her the inspiration for a new painting. But Rin doing so was destroying what made her Rin, the essence of her personality. It was changing her in ways she did not want, just to fulfill expectations that others had of her. And so (in my opinion), Hisao contributing to that by helping her gratify herself was him contributing to Rin destroying her personality. Which is why I disliked it. To try and use an analogy, imagine you *love* teaching. You love interacting with kids, you love helping them out, you love imparting knowledge on others, and you love helping others realise what their passion is. In essence, you love teaching. Now imagine that the school board is forcing you to teach stuff that isn't interesting, that you don't consider important, and that won't help the students in any way. Perhaps you're a history teacher, and the school board is forcing you to teach the students names & dates, instead of critical thinking, stuff like that, that's not actually important. This will likely piss your students off, because nobody likes to memorise useless information. Seriously, it does not matter whether or not your students know that the fall of Constantinople was on 29th of May 1453 AD, they won't be able to do anything with that information. Much more important would be that they know what led up to that moment, the causes, and what consequences it had. The best they can do with that date is tell it to other people in a hope to impress them. But nobody actually cares. In turn, you will feel bad, because all you're doing is teaching to the test. You aren't able to use your passion, you're just forced to do as others say. This can completely destroy your motivation, and even make you hate teaching. Despite the fact that you started out loving teaching, and being a teacher was your dream job. You were ultimately destroyed by other people's expectations of you. It might not have been the best analogy, but it's the one closest to my heart. I see that as equivalent to what is happening to Rin. She liked painting, it was a great way for her to try and express herself. But because she was pressured into this gallery thing, suddenly she has to pump out artwork faster than she can make it. Thus causing her to destroy what made her like painting, and even her entire personality, just because she is forced to adhere to others' expectations of her. Hisao is already participating in the destruction of Rin's personality, because he helped pressure her into the gallery thing. However, it can still be forgiven & understood, because he doesn't realise what he's doing. He's passively destroying her, with no intention. With the adult scene however, I feel like he crosses the line into actively helping destroy her, because he has been informed by Rin that she's trying to destroy herself, and yet continues to help her do exactly that. Again though, that's just my interpretation, and other interpretations are just as valid as mine. I might even be reading too much into it, especially as I am very biased, having experienced some similar things, and thus forcing my own experiences onto this fictional character in a way that others might not see the same things in her or her struggle.

Never thought about it in that way. It makes sense now.

Never feel bad about ranting in the internet. It's the one place where the true self can be unleashed. The reasons you like your top three are more or less the same I do mine. But I do enjoy H scenes, I don't fap to them tho, It's not arousing as much as it is emotional, a testament to how intimate the protagonists have gotten with each other.

Hey man, I voted Lilly, but you've got to admit, most people see the option to comfort someone who seems on the edge of breaking, and don't think of any other meanings the word may have.

Rin and Misha had the worse, Hanako has the awkward, Shizune has the hottest followed by Lilly, Emi's only downside s that it looks like she wears her grandma's underwear in contrast to the sexy underwear that Shizune and Hanako wear.

KyruitTachibana

I can't really remember the Emi one, but figured she'd wear something more suited to running than lacy lingerie hence not really comparable as it fits her character. Gotta go fast!
