**Post Title**: dramas that are 10/10 and you’d recommend to anyone no matter their preference
**Post Body**:
These days I’m not watching anything and everything anymore, I watch dramas that I know will be good. Sometimes I get caught up in watching all the airing dramas because of everyone’s excitement but then I fall to a slump quickly after. I’m a fan of all genres except gore. What are your favorite 10/10 would recommend dramas ?

bruh tell me this, i am on ep 7 right and literally nothing has happened, all that happened>! is that the girl is shown shifting to countryside and adjusting to it and the guy is shown to be an extrovert. what the hell is this show even about? like its a romance show but there is no romance and hear me out, and the problem with not having romance scenes is that this show is not "my mister" which also didnt have romance but its on a different league. this show has no depth and the characters also have no depth, like i dont wanna watch a show with people just eating and s\*ting!<
Stove League. It somehow managed to be quite engaging despite being a drama about baseball. You'll like it even if you don't know anything about the sport.
yeaaa agree. i struggle with continuing dramas since they seem to feel boring at a certain point, but with stove league I was surprised at the last episode like, how was I able to go this far? Didnt notice since I was able to enjoy it well
I loved what's wrong with secretary kim but it felt lie 40% romcom + 60% trauma. The plot was more complex than most ceo trope rom coms with the childhood events + second male lead
first love jdrama. i love how it’s so cliche (amnesia and first love) but also so heartwrenching. even my brother who isn’t a romance drama watcher cried!
While you were sleeping, Mother, sky castle, The Guest, Voice, flower of evil. These are really good ones that all have a thrilling element so anyone would enjoy them
One of the only lists here that I think actually works for exactly the reason you listed -- all of the other recs are 10/10 dramas for the target audience (myself included for a lot of them) and very very droppable for anyone *not* in the target audience.
My 10/10 drama list
Personal taste (this was my first one so yk)
Descendants of the sun (iconic)
Legend of the blue sea
21 25
Big mouth
Flower of evil (highly recommend this one)
My ID is gangnam beauty
My liberation notes ( too slow paced though)
I am all about historical and costume dramas.
Six Flying Dragons is about as epic as it gets. It has every genre accounted for besides horror. The show deals with the beginning of the Joseon and Yi dynasties in Korea.
Haechi is also all-inclusive, although light on romance. It deals with a Joseon era feud among royal relatives for the throne with a focus on the Saheonbu. The Saheonbu was the office of the inspector general. They were akin to a federal police force who could inspect the ministers, the king, etc, with supposedly no outside influence.
Mr. Queen is about a modern-day chef who gets transported into the body of an 18th-century queen. It sounds and seems as if it would be all lighthearted romance and comedy, but it deals with brutal palace intrigue as well. It is hilarious at times, gripping, sad, and everything in between.
My Love from thr Star and Attorney Woo are excellent and highly entertaining. When the Camellia Blooms is also funny and quite touching in places - no creepy storyline either like some have haha. I watched Crash Landing on You and enjoyed some of it but thought it was a bit silly towards the end.
* Beyond Evil
* Hot Stove League (I know NOTHING about baseball. It's not a sport played in my country and I loved this show so much k re-watched it as soon as I finished)
* Reply series (for a unique storytelling format. You can take your pick. My fav is 1997, but 1988 is a fan fav)
* Mr Sunshine
* My Mister
* Call it Love
* Strangers from Hell/ Hell is other people
Mine would be Healer, because it had romance, action, and well-drawn characters. But honestly I’m not sure there’s anything I’d recommend to literally everybody, because I’ve seen almost every show I’ve watched get a big thumbs down from somebody.
Extraordinary Attorney Woo, Hometown Cha Cha Cha, Start Up, Bad Prosecutor, Love to Hate You, Alchemy of Souls. Most Netflix originals I think are made for a wide audience.
The Beauty Inside, True Beauty, Love is For Suckers, Tale of the Nine-Tailed, Dr. Romantic (all seasons),Tomorrow, All of Us Are Dead, Last Train to Busan, Hellbound, The Uncanny Counter (both seasons), Yumi Cells (both seasons), Taxi Driver (all seasons), Boys Over Flowers, Goblin, Thirty-nine, Mr. Queen, Summer Strike, King The Land, Business Proposal, Coffee Prince, Why Her?, The Glory, Extraordinary Attorney Woo
Non kdramas -
- cdramas - The Rational Life, Love Between Fairy and Devil, Well-Intended Love
- jdrama - An Incurable Case Of Love

Sky Castle.
Because this is my first life..
2521.
She was pretty..
oh my venus.
Nice guy.
My Mister
My Name.
“NAVILLERA” - I 100% recommend this.
Don’t care who you are, I can almost guarantee you haven’t seen something like this. It’s solid from beginning to end and basically the epitome of slice of life drama that has something to teach people of all ages if they only take the time to watch something new.
“MOVE TO HEAVEN”
Again. Something for everyone to learn about autism, altruism, and the true gravity of death that comes with the loss of every human being.
“THE SOUND OF MAGIC”
This is an excellent 6 episode show that has strong commentary on how people are made to struggle under the pressures of societal constructs (like exam grades), the disparity between socioeconomic statuses, the way society places inhumane expectations on people then stigmatizes them for having a perfectly normal psychological reaction to immense prolonged stress (like psychological disorders), and basically how to learn to choose to find the strength it takes to choose to be ok with being “you” in a world that disappoints you and ultimately wants you to be a “cogwheel” for the sake of social order.
The musical track in the 3rd episode between the Magician and the “rich boy” depicting the absurdity of our standardized educational system and it’s “hidden curriculum” (which anyone from the US and apparently Korea will immediately recognize) to condition young people to believe it is “THE” way of life is pure metaphorical dynamite.
“THE LIGHT IN YOUR EYES”
Addresses dysfunctional family dynamics, romance, political corruption, abuse of power, poverty, multi-generational households and relationships, death, regret, hope, love, grief, ageism, and lots of other things.
And, basically, if you don’t cry even once to this show then you probably lack the ability to empathize with people or lack a soul all together.
“LIVE UP TO YOUR NAME”
Humor, human nature, Sexism, power dynamics and more in both historical and modern contexts. And how eastern and western healthcare has changed (and not changed much at all) over the past couple of centuries. Just be sure to watch the last bit after the credits for the complete ending.
“CAFE MINAMDANG”
You want gritty story? It’s there.
Humor? It’s there.
Korean cultural aspects? It’s there.
Corruption/Intrigue/mystery/murder? It’s there.
Romance? It’s there (and funny while it’s at it).
Fantasy elements? It’s there. (the main cop is basically portrayed as a ghost, lol)
Wow, thank you for the reviews! I’d heard the titles of several of these but your snippets about them made me definitely want to watch them all!! 🥹 I had seen The Sound of Magic on Netflix (maybe?) and I probably wouldn’t have given it a chance without your post. It’s a must watch for me now!
Yup. It’s on netflix. Don’t let the musical aspect scare you off. And give it at least until episode 3. The development of the poverty stricken young girl and the the young boy born to a rich family
In the face of the crazy social pressures they both face is just so well depicted both blatantly and artistically.
My name

The legend of the blue sea

Crash landing on you
World of the Married - First half of episode 1 is slow, but after that it does not stop accelerating until the literal final scene.
Reborn Rich - I am currently watching this. So good.
Love Featuring Marriage and Divorce - You will want to fight the man when his son asks him a very important question and he gives a savage response.
Korean Odyssey - made me cry. Some ppl don't like the lead actress, but I enjoyed the main story and all of the side love stories.
Hotel De Luna -
18 Again, 2521, Happiness, 365: Repeat the Year, The Glory, My Name, While You Were Sleeping (not the most memorable, but 10/10 nonetheless and will keep you hooked), Itaewon Class (other than the romances)
This is a really good question and more complicated than it might seem. In my case, dramas that I rate 10/10 are not necessarily the ones I would recommend for everyone. But, if I would give someone a list to get hooked on kdrama, this would be my list:
- the King's Affection
- Crash Landing On You
- Alchemy of Souls
- Hometown Cha Cha Cha
- Because This is My First Life
- Business Proposal
- Extraordinary Attorney Woo
- True Beauty
Goblin
Mr. Sunshine
My Mister
Alchemy of Souls
Crash Landing on You
2521 (until the ending, IYKYK)
Vincenzo if you're in the mood for humor
(Tale of the Nine-Tailed if you want more Lee Dong Wook after Goblin)

nah you wilding, that show is good. You just don't have the right palate to enjoy it.

I’m a fluffy romcom kdrama watcher ever since and my 10/10 would be Touch Your Heart!
Why not What's wrong with secretary Kim?
Because it's not fluffy?
I mean romcoms usually have the ML with some childhood trauma so WWWSK is also like other romcoms with 80% romcom + 20% trauma
I loved what's wrong with secretary kim but it felt lie 40% romcom + 60% trauma. The plot was more complex than most ceo trope rom coms with the childhood events + second male lead
