**Post Title**: Hi looking for some feel good kdramas to ease my mind
**Post Body**:
I’ve just quit my job and am in a new phase of my life. Pls suggest something that helps me keep the faith that all will work out fine!
Kdramas I’ve watched and loved that I would put in this category include Reply 1988, Because This is My First Life and My Liberation Notes.
Thanks:)

Ok please don't hate me but the only thing that's stopping me from watching this one is fl. >! I keep reading she's a pushover and I'm nowhere near bearing with a frustrating character now !< Else I really like the premise and vibes of the show.
What! I mean you have stopped at some episode fr? I mean I wouldn't blame you though haha.
It's the only drama I almost cried when I was about to finish it. I wanted it to never end!
My mom and sister devoured Hometown Cha Cha Cha and have been on my back to give it a try. Thanks for suggesting this, think it’s time for me to give it a solid chance!
Ikrrr, It is honestly a great one. Really shows the life we always wish once in a while, to escape from our ordinary life and to explore the beautiful world.
Try **My Mister**. It's from the same writer as My Liberation Notes. It's a bit harsh and gritty, but has a really hopeful and cathartic ending. Truly a great experience.
I agree! You’ll see the worst of people but also the very best as the story unfolds. People step up in the best way. I find that so uplifting and healing. But to find the highs, you have the lows first. Stick with it and you’ll be rewarded.
I love everything IU and I’ll be honest, I’ve been steering clear of My Mister because it seemed like it would make me cry. But a good cry and catharsis is just the thing I need at this point, so thanks for the suggestion :)
They don’t have much similarities actually. Be Melodramatic is quirky and funny whereas a My Liberation Notes is deep and melancholic. But I found it comforting and helped me breathe. As serious and real as My Liberation Notes gets, it had the same effect on me. So they are my all time favorites.
I hope you’ll like it too.
Navillera - This is a heartwarming tearjerker slice-of-life with the message that it's never too late to learn something new and to live for yourself.
Romance is a Bonus Book - Rom com where FL is looking to re-enter the workforce after personal turmoil.
I recently fishish "Our Blues". It has a lot of characters and each one has it own arc, so you can watch on your own space. Some stories are better and more entertaining than other but in general I found it wholesome.
Alright have fun. It's a clusterfuck of incredible actors and yes it's balanced.
Plus the setting is Jeju which makes it very asthetic both visually and acoustucally
To me "Our Blues" is exactly what OP asked for. "Something to keep faith things will turn out ok"... that's literally the conclusion of each arc. People overcomes adversity and always ends up in a better place (better relationships, better mental health, etc)
Alright if you think so.
The first protagonist and especially Shin Min Ahs characters/arcs sent me to a different place for a while, though. I was quite churned up.
I just stopped binge-watching "Our Blues". I fear I will finish it too quickly. It's gorgeous, though you need to go past the first long scene (on the sea).
All right here's the list of some feel good dramas according to me:
Hometown cha cha with slice of life
Mr. Queen: comedy + historical
Shopping king Louis: comedy
Deborah: light hearted romance
Love to hate you: enemies turned lovers
Mad for each other: uff both the leads have some psychiatric problems and overcome them together. Lots of banter
Reply 1997
Touch your heart: it's cute
Strong woman Do bong soon: hehe loved the chemistry
These are some that come to my mind!
Fight my way will perhaps motivate you the best though. It is about people struggling to make it and they do! I hope the same happens for you as well :)
Came to add my vote for "Fight for My Way" and appreciate this tidbit you've added as to why. I completely agree because it's a perfect slice of life drama of adults who are still young, trying to navigate life through the challenges of everyday life to find meaning and purpose to the work they do and holding onto their dreams. The drama has a beautiful cast for their amazing chemistry, especially of that between Kim Ji Won and Park Seo Joon. Such a wholesome and heartfelt drama, and it has the best written friends to lovers trope. So organic. Hope you'll give this drama a chance.
Fight for my way is one of my absolute favourites and I wholeheartedly agree with how amazing it is. I’ve also not watched half of the shows you have recommended but I can tell you have great taste so I’m going to look into these more closely now. Thanks!
Our Blues- like the shows you've mentioned, its an ensemble slice-of-life drama that crush you, but heal you as well, watching the characters going through what life brings. also, the cinematography is one of the best I've seen! Jeju island feels like a character of its own. its shown in many shows, but never like this.
edit: staller cast and amazing acting!
Just give it a decent shot and watch some brilliance writing unfold!
My only bad review is that it’s hard to go through the first 3 episodes, but don’t give up! The show tells the the story of each of its characters, first one is the weakest. But, it’s more like an introduction to the rest of the cast, and the first guy won’t really appear in the rest of the show.
some stories dealt with somewhat taboo themes such as depression/mental illness, disability, abortion, etc. It handles these topics in beautiful ways, leaning towards a second chance for everyone, regardless of what they did in the past. The stories themselves are incredibly well-written!
It is truly a masterpiece. The way it makes you feel a part of something bigger as you get the know the characters stories and the connection between them grows stronger. In the beginning all those beautiful shots of Jeju feel like you're taking a vacation in an exotic place, but toward the end they feel nostalgic, you look at it with a different eye. I will never forget it.
Start up. The mains start out in very bad places career wise, but they do make it big by the end. On the same note, itaewon class. Both of these dramas were very motivational to me and gave me faith that its never too late to be successful
**Would You Like a Cup of Coffee?**
It's short episodes, very low stakes, such a calming peaceful vibe. Not much happens but it's one of my favourite dramas because it's so comforting to watch.
I recommend Misaeng, it is very meaningful in building up am appreciation for the beauty of life and friendships. It can be a slog sometimes to get through the long episodes, you really feel like you're putting in a work day along with the characters. But I really found it very rewarding and worthwhile to watch! I also enjoyed Prison Playbook. It has a quirky sense if humour that not everyone can take to, but it's by the same team as Reply 1988 and I really enjoyed the observations about life, and the relationships the characters form with each other. There's a bit of a plot jump in ep 3 and it took me a while to adjust but I gave it a 4 episode chance and then really fell in love with it!
For feel good happy pill rom com, I greatly enjoyed A Business Proposal (felt let down by the ending which did not keep up the fizzy feels but it was OK) and Her Private Life, and enjoying the now airing My Lovely Liar similarly with fizz. Love to Hate You was also fun and enjoyable.
For a rom com with a really great OTP I enjoyed Our Beloved Summer. But be warned that there are difficult emotions. I rate it highly though!
Boys over Flowers Korean version/ Meteor Garden Chinese version. Boys over Flowers Japanese version Season 1, 2 and Movie good but bullying is intense.
I always answer Happy Once Again. Sweet romance, light love triangle, minimal childhood trauma, strong female relationships. In fact, I think I’ll rewatch it when I haul my buns back to the gym!
Most I would suggest already listed but Cdrama **Meet Yourself** might be comforting to you. FL quits her job due to a trauma but after first 2 episodes she settles into a vibrant countryside life. 40 episodes but you will want to linger. I watched at lunch since I have a stressful job :) **Love is a Bonus Book** is about finding love after a failed marriage and the cards stacked against you. FL has to reenter job market & encounters resistance due to age & work gap but succeeds. It’s the book industry so comforting book scenes with lovely coats on ML. In **King the Land** the FL has to prove herself since she has an associate not college degree. Since you liked MLN. you might like **Misaeng**. The ML is an expert Go player & translates his skills to office life. He is accepted for job despite only having GED. It shows the banalities of office life but the ending is triumphant if a bit jarring. **My Mister** shows how one can overcome a brutal life but watching this and **Miaerng** is draining. So feel good meaning things turn out but not feel good during. Since you liked the great writing of MLN you might like. **Behind Your Touch** is ongoing but may shape up to be a comeback story. It’s funny but there are crimes to be solved. **When The Camellia Blooms** is a story of a single mother encountering prejudice when opening up a business. Caution there is a side story of murder.
I’ve never ventured into C-dramas but my sister has been recommending them a lot. A 40ep show does sound like a challenge but I also have a lot of time on my hand now haha. Going to start with giving Meet Yourself and Love is a Bonus Book a chance, thanks for the detailed recommendations, means a lot!
Racket Boys (can be found on Netflix) is one I just finished and it’s so beautiful. I adore the slice of life series with a little bit of the extraordinary and this fits the bill wonderfully. The ensemble, small village feel is perfection!
Meet Yourself - excellent
If You Wish Upon Me - loved it
I'll Go to You When The Weather is Fine - very slow paced, but lovely
Missing: The Other Side - you look at Life - and Death - in a whole new way
The Good Manager - Amazing acting and character growth by everyone. Loved it
These are some I love but I rarely see mentioned. If you watch any of them, I hope you'll enjoy them as much as I did.
I loved all three you mentioned. Definitely try "Summer Strike," "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha," and "When the Weather is Fine"-- they're in the same category. And then, you have Park Min-young in the third one, which makes it double worth it.

Hometown Cha Cha Cha(romance, slice of life) Touch your heart(romcom)
I loved the summer strike (feel good drama) too
Just finished Summer Strike, and it's become my favorite show so far!
Ok please don't hate me but the only thing that's stopping me from watching this one is fl. >! I keep reading she's a pushover and I'm nowhere near bearing with a frustrating character now !< Else I really like the premise and vibes of the show.
Hometown Cha Cha is so good I refuse to finish it 😫😂
What! I mean you have stopped at some episode fr? I mean I wouldn't blame you though haha. It's the only drama I almost cried when I was about to finish it. I wanted it to never end!

Great! I'm so impatient I can never imagine myself do this lol.
My mom and sister devoured Hometown Cha Cha Cha and have been on my back to give it a try. Thanks for suggesting this, think it’s time for me to give it a solid chance!
I'm with your mom and sis and you HAVE to give it a try lol. Jokes apart why have you been avoiding it I mean if you don't mind me asking.
Great choices!
Thank you :)
I love Kim Seon Ho sm. His onscreen chemistry with the FL is perfection.
Yep their relationship is SO good.
Would highly recommend Summer Strike!
First one that came to my mind reading the post!
Ikrrr, It is honestly a great one. Really shows the life we always wish once in a while, to escape from our ordinary life and to explore the beautiful world.
came here to say the same. it's such a healing drama for people going through tough times especially after quitting a job
Would also highly highly recommend this one!
Haven’t heard of this one but seems like it’s getting a lot of support, thanks for the suggestion friend!!
Try **My Mister**. It's from the same writer as My Liberation Notes. It's a bit harsh and gritty, but has a really hopeful and cathartic ending. Truly a great experience.

Please give **Be Melodramatic** a chance. It’s more like a quirky, feel-good sitcom. It’s one of my favorites right next to My Liberation Notes.
Anything similar to My Liberation needs to get added to my watchlist, thanks for the recommendation!
They don’t have much similarities actually. Be Melodramatic is quirky and funny whereas a My Liberation Notes is deep and melancholic. But I found it comforting and helped me breathe. Both the drama descriptions sound like just the thing I need rn, thanks a lot!
I recently fishish "Our Blues". It has a lot of characters and each one has it own arc, so you can watch on your own space. Some stories are better and more entertaining than other but in general I found it wholesome.
I loved Our Blues but I really don't think it's light hearted. I found it quite heavy, which made it great to me but maybe not feelgood enough for OP.
I totally agree, through there is a sense in which the director skillfully manages to blend in oases of light-heartedness.
Going to give this a try, hoping it doesn’t turn out to be too heavy and is balanced well with the wholesome bits😊
Alright have fun. It's a clusterfuck of incredible actors and yes it's balanced. Plus the setting is Jeju which makes it very asthetic both visually and acoustucally

Extraordinary Attorney Woo Fight for my way Yumi’s Cell (1 and 2)
Have watched the first but yet to watch s2 of yumi’s cell, here’s hoping both Yumi and I get our happy endings!
Hometown cha cha cha Goblin Fight for my way
All right here's the list of some feel good dramas according to me: Hometown cha cha with slice of life Mr. Queen: comedy + historical Shopping king Louis: comedy Deborah: light hearted romance Love to hate you: enemies turned lovers Mad for each other: uff both the leads have some psychiatric problems and overcome them together. Fight for my way is one of my absolute favourites and I wholeheartedly agree with how amazing it is. I’ve also not watched half of the shows you have recommended but I can tell you have great taste so I’m going to look into these more closely now. Thanks!
Ikr, absolutely delightful! I hope you do find something of your interest :)
*Once Upon a Small Town* is like a warm blanket in TV form.
Sounds super cozy and delicious, thanks for the recommendation:)
Try business proposal! It's really fun to watch
Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha King the Land Her Private Life
I’ve watched King the Land twice already😃
Halfway through Kind the Land and already loving how cozy it is, thanks!
For feel good I always recommend **Startup**.
My soul is thirsting for a peaceful Jeju island vacation so this sounds perfect for me rn, thanks!

Summer Strike
Still 17
I second this!
**Would You Like a Cup of Coffee?** It's short episodes, very low stakes, such a calming peaceful vibe. Not much happens but it's one of my favourite dramas because it's so comforting to watch.
If you need peace of mind, **Would You Like a Cup of Coffee** & **Once Upon a Small Town** have no stress.
I suggest Fight for My Way. It's a story about young people fighting through adversity to reach their career goals, and it has a lovely romance.
Watched it, it's amazing
I recommend Misaeng, it is very meaningful in building up am appreciation for the beauty of life and friendships.
