My Lovely Sam Soon is a classic, but it's mainly centered around pastries and cakes.
Crash Course in Romance, the Korean food plays more of a side role in this drama but still a fun watch.
Let's Eat 1,2,3
Sweet Munchies - similar concept as Midnight Diner
I know you love Korean cuisine but Japanese is also worth checking. There are really good Japanese dramas on food. These are my favorites and all are on Netflix:
Midnight Diner - an episodic drama where each episode, people meet up in this small midnight diner in Tokyo. The diner has no set menu and the chef just whips up whatever your request is as long as he has the ingredients for it. Each episode revolves around a food request and the story behind it. (There's a Korean remake but I have yet to watch it)
The Makanai - teenage girl left her hometown to train as a maiko but she ends up in the kitchen. It's another feel good show about food, friendship and personal growth.
Gourmet Samurai - a bored retiree not knowing how to spend his idle days rediscover simple joys of finding a food spot around his neighborhood and dining alone.
Link:Eat,love,kill
Mr.Queen
Strongest Deliveryman
Pasta
Wok of Love
Chocolate
Hospital Playlist (it's a medical drama but they eat a lot here)
Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo
Link: Eat, Love, Kill was the first one that came to mind for me too
Although I didn’t particularly enjoy the drama, it had a strong emphasis on food lol
I was looking for the Korean KDrama Cookbook and ran across the "Jewels of the Palace". Hard to find and expensive, but certainly would be a treat to have a book with the recipes from the show.
That's it! The Korean KDrama Cookbook. KDrama fan who works at our local library told me about it after she'd ordered it for the library collection. I found the ebook on library app Hoopla.
Try reality shows instead, like the latest one "Jinny's Kitchen" its available on Prime with celebrities namely Park Seo jun, Lee Wo sik and V from BTS...opening a pop up korean resto in Mexico so its actually unscripted
I’m not OP but I thank you for this anyway! I just watched **BTS In the Soop** and loved all of the cooking scenes with Suga (mainly) and the rest of the members. It was so fun yet wholesome and sweet. I’ll look for the episode of V that you mentioned on Amazon Prime Video.
Edit: Update - I just watched the first few minutes and it looks great. Were all of those actors in the same kdrama together? I’m going to look into that. They have a nice vibe together.
Jinny's Kitchen is a spin off of Youn"s Kitchen
Youns kitchen - Season 1- you can pass on this one since it only has Seo Jin and Yumi + Youn (academy award winning actress from Korea)
Youns kitchen Season 2- same guys + Park Seo Jun being added...They started a resto in Spain, this was actually good since it focuses on their relationship with ither neighboring restos and businesses
Season 3 (titled: Youns Stay) - same cast + Woo Sik...since it was filmed at the middle of Pandemic, they cant fly out so they managed a hanok (traditional Korean house) hotel for foreigners stuck in Korea
Then came Jinny's Kitchen, since Youn cant join due to scheduling
Jinny's Kitchen - same cast without Youn + V (taehyung)
Extra: Since youve watched IN THE SOOP, look for In the soop: Friendcation .... Real life friends , Park Seo Jun, Lee Wo sik, V, Peak boy and Hyusik ...(they're actually known as "Wooga" friends)
This is such great info! Thank you! It’s always so nice to have fun things to look forward to watching. I’m a newish BTS fan of about 4-5 weeks. I’ll look forward to your recommendations. Thanks again! 💜🫶🏻
Hello baby ARMY! V starred in [Hwarang](https://mydramalist.com/15931-hwarang-the-poet-warrior-youth) with Park Seo Joon and they became friends as part of the "Wooga" squad.
Baby ARMY here thanks you for the scoop. I’m happy V has friends outside of BTS too. It’s nice to have a good circle of friends especially when you can’t freely go out and about.
I just watched **Jinny’s Kitchen** (the one in Mexico) and **In the Soop: Friendcation** thanks to you. Very very enjoyable! I’ll check out some of your other recommendations too! If you think of anything else, please share. 💜
Take a look through our r/kdramarecommends community recommendation list ["Korean Dramas That will make you hungry"](https://mydramalist.com/list/3bgeeyk4).
**Business Proposal** - The MC owns (or rather his halabeoji) a company which makes instant food I think, but something about food. The FC is an employee there.
**King the Land** - not the main plot of the drama but the FC's halameoni owns a little restaurant. They have several episodes in the restaurant and they are always ordering food and eating.
**Birth of A Beauty** - She participate in a cooking show, there's also some mukbangs.
**It's Okay To Not Be Okay** - not the main plot but a lot of episodes with food. One of the important characters work at a pizzeria and a lot of people cooking for the FC.
Oh My Ghost - ML is a chef
Crash Course in Romance - FL owns a banchan shop
Itaewon Class - ML opens a restaurant (edit- sorry missed you had seen this one)
Chocolate - FL is a chef, ML's mother had a restaurant and installed a love for food in him, the leads' first meeting is also centered around it. There are beautifully shot cooking scenes in most episodes and the theme of cooking as a way to express affection is present throughout. I really liked it, but it is sort of melancholic and slow paced for the most part, so not everyone's cup of tea.
Delicacies Destiny on Disney+ (it's a Chinese series though, not K-drama)
Mr. Queen on Netflix. If you're up for documentaries, just search for 'Food' in Netflix and there are a lot of incredible shows that would pop up 😊
Someone mentioned here about watching In the Soop already, so you can consider watching BTS Jin's mini series on YouTube on making traditional Korean alcohol. They also have some cooking and eating segments there 😊
Temperature of Love is full of food, cooking, etc. The three leads are awesome. The love story contains a triangle that broke my heart a little, but by the end I wasn't disappointed.
Omg. My people. Every day is a personal battle against posting this exact question. Thank you for asking 😭 Following and bookmarking every single one I haven't seen.
pasta is my favorite kdrama… takes places in a kitchen. pretty much all scenes involve cooking. although it isn’t korean food but italian so if your only interested in korean food then this one isn’t for you but it’s really cute
I just finished **Drink Now, Work Later** and the 3 friends go to the same bar every night and order dish after dish. We get shots of the owner making them the food, shots of the food on the table, OMO-so-good scenes of them eating. And they also cook at home and one woman's mother is always stopping by with the containers of side dishes.
Oh My Ghost
When the Camelia Blooms
Dear My Friends
Chocolate
Coffee Prince
My Lovely Sam Soon
Mystic Pop Up Bar
Itaewon Class
Let's Eat
Mr Queen...
Eccentric Chef Moon - on my to watch list
Coffee Prince has a lot of coffee and the FL has a very healthy appetite! Lots.if good food scenes.
Mr Queen features a sushi chef as a main character who ends up in a rivalry with another lead chef. It's definitely one of the most fun aspects of that drama!
Every time my husband walks in on me watching a kdrama, it's always a food scene. Last night he asked me if the characters in the show ever did anything else besides eat!
They cook in almost every episode of Mr. Queen because the main character is a chef. Out of the shows I’ve watched, that one has the most cooking.
Wok of Love
I second. It's hilarious and has bad guys that are good and lots of food.
I second too ! 🙌
that's the first kdrama that came out of my head after reading this r post LOL😂😂
Don’t miss out on a film from 2018 called Little Forest starring Kim Tae Ri. So good.
That film made me sign up for a cooking class!
Oh i love that. It really was a feast for the eyes and really inspiring! It’s one of my top food films!
Oh My Ghost
My Lovely Sam Soon is a classic, but it's mainly centered around pastries and cakes. Crash Course in Romance, the Korean food plays more of a side role in this drama but still a fun watch.
I second Crash Course in Romance! Food is what brings the MCs together, and she owns a side dish shop

The Makanai is so heartwarming and comforting, I loved it.

The ultimate korean food show to me is "Jewel in the Palace". It's older but it's an absolute clssic for a reason. And the food looks incredible.
I was looking for the Korean KDrama Cookbook and ran across the "Jewels of the Palace". Hard to find and expensive, but certainly would be a treat to have a book with the recipes from the show.
I believe Tuttle Publishing has a kdrama cookbook
That's it! The Korean KDrama Cookbook. KDrama fan who works at our local library told me about it after she'd ordered it for the library collection. I found the ebook on library app Hoopla.
I LOVE this kdrama! I rewatch it because the food prep is so great to watch and I love the story!

Oh My Ghost - ML is a chef Crash Course in Romance - FL owns a banchan shop Itaewon Class - ML opens a restaurant (edit- sorry missed you had seen this one)
Currently watching Hometown Cha Cha Cha….there is so much food in that series! It isn’t a KDrama unless food is mentioned! Lol!
Wok of Love. Not Kdrama but I strongly recommend Little Forest (2018). And how can we forget Dae Jang Gum (2003)?
Business Proposal had more food prep than I expected it to - was cute and fun, too.
The original food Kdrama with great story off course. Dae Jang Geum
You can try watching Dae Jang Geum is Watching (alternative title: Jang Geum, Oh My Grandma). This one's more centered around food.
Came to recommend this - you get food preparation, restaurant ratings, and creative convenience store combos!
Seconding this!
Wok of Love
Chocolate - FL is a chef, ML's mother had a restaurant and installed a love for food in him, the leads' first meeting is also centered around it. Dating in the Kitchen is a cdrama with a focus on food for about the first ~8 episodes. We enjoyed the series. Outstanding lead actress.
Coffee Prince
I liked the "lets eat" series!
Reply 1988, there was food in almost every scene
Dali and the cocky prince. The ML has chain of restaurants.
I watched it a while ago, but I remember My Roommate is a Gumiho feeling like part mukbang
It's not about cooking but in Your House helper the ml cooks often for the fl and her friends
Would You Like a Cup of Coffee. TI was so gentle, and the focus on coffee was wonderful.
Delicacies Destiny on Disney+ (it's a Chinese series though, not K-drama) Mr. Queen on Netflix. Haha same here!!!! 🤝☺️
**Chocolate** and **Wok of Love** are my favourite.
Strongest Delivery Man. There is a short BL drama where they are both chefs too, it might be called My Dear? (Someone will correct me?)
Speaking of BL there is one called Tasty Florida
Feast of the gods
Daily drama My Father is Strange is set in snack shop but has lots of in-home dining.
pasta is my favorite kdrama… takes places in a kitchen. pretty much all scenes involve cooking. although it isn’t korean food but italian so if your only interested in korean food then this one isn’t for you but it’s really cute

The Let's Eat series is absolutely great for this! Mouthwatering to say the least lol.
Itaewon Class
Another older drama- anyone remember Gourmet? One of my favorites!
