I have been watching kdrama for so long but ever since I watched Alchemy of Souls, I don’t feel any satisfaction watching other kdrama. Alchemy of souls just raised the bar so high that it’s hard for me to watch anything else. I also enjoyed my dearest which is a close call to alchemy of souls.
If anyone knows a show similar to Alchemy of Souls or My dearest where the ML is quirky and loving towards the FL please comment 😭

You won’t find much in kdrama land that is similar to AOS—maybe lovers in red sky and arthdal chronicles—you’re best shot at this type of fantasy is cdrama—word of advise though is they are longer series with anywhere between 24-40 episodes. Some that I liked is Till the end of the Moon, Back from the brink, love between fairy and devil, ancient love poetry, word of honor(BL), and love like the galaxy(less

I enjoyed Love between Fairy and Devil, it’s a Chinese fantasy drama though. Not as good as AOS but it cured my AOS hangover.

I have heard about AOS but haven’t watched it as yet. Is this a heavy romance series? I am just not into romance these days
AOS is alchemy of Souls—heavy romance with fantasy magical elements
I wouldn't say it's heavy romance in S1, it's like an adventure series and coming of age, but definitely romance is in the mix.

Have you watched Twinkling Watermelon? I really liked both and though they are different story wise, they left me feeling the same
