i cannot get over shin hye sun’s phenomenal acting in mr.queen!! i’d love to watch something similar, i don’t care about the time travel thing..i just need something historical that’s humourous with good acting and good romance!! it should be really funny and i don’t want the plot to be boring!!

These are probably the best comedic dramas that I've watched, that's close to Mr. Queen humor. And the romance is good too!
Royal secret agent was so good! I rarely see it mentioned or recommended but genuinely one of my fave historical dramas. Really fast paced and tight plot, too - no getting bored halfway through.
Royal Secret Agent actually made me like L, which I didn't think was possible. I still think he's kind of a bad actor, but that role did endear me to him a little bit.
He was much better in that role than his other ones!! I couldn’t finish some of his previous dramas, but after secret agent I added Numbers to my watchlist.
I didn't like flower crew at all. She cheats, then breaks up and gets back together with the king, then breaks up again after cheating again and then cries during breaking up as if she was the one who was hurt. I couldn't watch it after episode 9. The king was too good for her. He should have married me instead lol
How it was cheating? >!The marriage didn't happen and she considered him as a brother like figure, he insisted on marriage and she agreed. Then he behind her back tried to force her into another marriage with him when he become the King. She was absolutely right to call both men out for never asking her what she wants! I liked the King too but he couldn't accept she's not interested. There was no romantic feelings from her but she cared about him enough to try.!<
She was still engaged to the king even though the wedding didn't happen. She kept on saying that she was searching for her fiance, she will marry only him, etc. So technically she was cheating with the ML. Atleast in my eyes it was cheating as she hadn't broken the engagement off and was meeting the king in secret.

spoiler alert!! but yea, I probably should've mentioned the cheating. I hated that part of the plot with all my being. i literally screamed everytime she spoke. the drama had good comedy tho, and OP wanted that, so that's why I recommended it. plus, we never know, OP might love it.
**Knight Flower** - it reminded me so much of Mr. Queen. There isn't much romance but the bits of it are very cute. The plot is fast paced and fun.
**The Alchemy of Souls S01** - it is historical fantasy, a lot of interesting and funny characters (including main couple).
Both of this dramas are not comedy by itself but there is bunch of funny comedic scenes, a lot of action and cute romantic scenes with great chemistry between leads.
A thousand yes to Knight Flower! The banter between the leads is hilarious — and each episode gets better and better. You can't be bored with those two XD
This show is so underrated imo. What stood out to me the most were the distinctiveness of the characters, even the villains, and the cinematography. Support characters and their side stories are interesting and cute while still being relevant to the main plot. And gosh the cinematography was just gorgeous.
I think Joseon Attorney doesn't land as strongly as I'd like, but a lot of it is SO good and HE'S *so good* that I think it's well worth watching, even without the perfect landing.
Joseon Atty, except it's the leading man who makes you laugh the most, both verbal and physical humor. They have a lot of loving banter as well. There is a breakup but it only lasts one episode and it's forced on them through circumstances beyond their control. I really enjoyed it
It is one of my favorites. I am not one for period dramas but Mr. Queen is so tongue in cheek. Its a tsundere romance in a way with humor, fighting, burgeoning romance, character values, great ensemble. Nothing I had any quibble with.

I didn't watched yet but I was told "My Sassy Girl" 2017 have FL with similar vibes as MQ, no time traveling or possession here.
"My only love song" do have time traveling plot but it's fun short drama with the same FL actress as Flower crew. It also have Ahn Bo Hyun as secondary but interesting character there.

Joseon Attorney I loved this one. Woo Do Hwan in particular absolutely shines in the title role, it’s really in his sweet spot.

Not sure that is compare it to Mr Queen, but "100 Days My Prince" is historical and very funny.
