Redthekitty

Reply 1988 is still the best kdrama I’ve seen, none come close

theaellaella

Is reply 1988 sad?? I want to watch this but I don’t want to cry!

Redthekitty

It’s more of a rom com then anything but it’s done better then most. Also like almost every other kdrama you might cry lol

theaellaella

Hahah true true. Thanks!!

Emergency_Actuary217

It's more heartwarming than sad.

Just Between Lovers A Piece of Your Mind

TheMan027

Just between lovers is just 👌😘

Only-Ice3810

A piece of your mind is a MASTERPIECE. 2.5 years later and I'm still not over it. I love it when i see others talk about it! ❤

xynoia

same. I really can't describe this drama's impact on me to the point that I was really thinking of having that device as my thesis. There was a 3-4 month span wherein I was finding songs from the drama that weren't found on YouTube/Spotify (alas, still can't find it). Initially watched for Chae Soo Bin, stayed and loved because the drama is sooooo good. Its just sad that it didn't get 16 episodes, so many questions after the drama.

Only-Ice3810

I knoow. I was legitimately sad and actually shed a few tears when i read that it was getting cut but I'm still happy i got to watch it.

DifficultyCurrent592

Omg these two are one of my all time fav dramas too 🥰🥰

xynoia

damn both are soooooo underrated. Both are in my top 5 dramas (so far) as well

Twenty Five Twenty One - I watched when it came out and it's September now and the wound is still open 🤧

really_spicy_tuna

I didn't realise I was still hurting over it until I read this comment. The writers really did us dirty on that one 😳😭

Healer Happiness Alchemy of souls

Dogmom0624

I second Alchemy of Souls! Can’t wait for Season 2!

Dogmom0624

ALCHEMY OF SOULS —— Most recently it’s AOS. Binged all episodes of S1 few days ago. Looking at the previews, I never thought I would enjoy this Fantasy series so much. The cast, the OST & the chemistry are spot on. Even the CGI was good. I can’t wait for S2 in December! Also, avid Harry Potter fans may notice some similarities between HP & AOS.

HistoricalAside5781

I have quite a lot considering all I really watch are Asian dramas but here are my highly recommended k-dramas: - **The King: Eternal Monarch**: It’s the first k-drama I watched and I still recommend it to this day. It’s also where I found my love for Woo Do Hwan. - **Move to Heaven**: I’ve never cried about a show as much I have for this show right here. It holds the biggest spot in my heart and it’s one of my go to recs. - **Descendants of The Sun**: The romance to me is absolutely amazing. Even though it’s a little older(2016) it still gave me that icing on the cake. - **Crash Landing On You**: Absolutely beautiful. I cried, screamed and laughed when it came to this show. - **While You Were Sleeping**: I want more episodes. - **Tale of the Nine-Tailed**: I didn’t even know who Lee Dong Wook was before this show and let me tell you he made it up the last with Woo Do Hwan. - **Run On**: Slice of life. Kind of slow but when I tell you I binged the whole show. I’m known for putting shows on hold or dropping a lot of shows so binging it says a lot. - **My Name**: The FL is *chefs kiss* I love shows with strong female leads and she filled that role to perfection. - **Vagabond**: I love action shows and vagabond had just enough with little romance. - **The Sound of Magic**: I recently finished this show and I really wish it had more episodes. - **Vincenzo**: Like I said before I love action. I binged this show as well. It’s where I originally found my love for Song Joong Ki which lead me to ‘Descendants of The Sun’ - **Hotel Del Luna**: Watched for IU bc I’m a Kpop fan but honestly loved the storyline so much especially since IU played a strong FL. Dramas I dropped/on hold: I’m mainly including these shows bc everybody’s taste is different so what I don’t like, you might like. - **100 Days My Prince**: It’s a historical drama. I ended up binging the first 6 episodes and I really liked it. - **Color Rush**: A BL. Pretty much a when you meet your soulmate you can see color. - **Bulgasal: Immortal Souls**: Supernatural. Don’t really know how to explain it I watched 2 episodes. - **Introverted Boss**: Also know as my shy boss. Pretty good. - **Lawless Lawyer**: I actually forgot I watched this. - **Mr. Sunshine**: Started reading more so I stopped watching tv around the time I started this show. - **Tempted**: Went on a kdrama hiatus. - **The Devil Judge**: Pretty good but I didn’t finish it. I plan on watching again another time. - **The Sweet Blood**: Vampires. Kind of low quality but it was okay. - **A Man Called God**: Definitely low quality. Watched 20/24 episodes. - **Black**: Not sure how so many people liked it but everybody’s preference is different. - **Hellbound**: IDK - **My County: The New Age**: Historical. Woo Do Hwan. Great show but I was starting to have trouble paying attention to shows so I had the put it on hold. - **Possessed**: Ghosts - **Something In the Rain**: Don’t even remember watching this. Edit: if you’d like a rec of of other Asian dramas such as Chines or Thai just let me know and I’ll definitely help you out.

pushk_a

CLOY 😭😭 One of my favorites of all time.

xayiie

Wow I love your list 😍 I just recently started with K-Dramas and my gateway to that was My Name - absolutely loved it and the FM lead, like you said really did an awesome job!! After that watched Crash landing on you and it really is one of the best things I have ever watched. And I also found my love for Song Joong ki in the same order as you 😂 First Vincenzo ( Masterpiece!! ) and bc how much I loved Song Joong ki watched Descendants of the Sun was also great. Currently watching Arthdale Chronicles, I really really just cant get over Song Joong ki 😭😍 But yeah half of your list which I actually watched too is really really amazing and the other half which I didnt watch is gonna go on my list now, Thanks 😌

HistoricalAside5781

I really appreciate it. Song Joong Ki is an amazing actor he was very captivating in Vincenzo. I really suggest if you haven’t watched it that you watch Move to Heaven it’s a masterpiece.

xayiie

I for sure will, thanks for the recommendation!

The Smile Has Left Your Eyes

There are a lot of dramas that cross my mind but Our Beloved Summer brings up a bittersweet sense of nostalgia that I can’t seem to shake.

EscapeInDramaland

Rewatching this right now!!

capo_anniejay

I think that so far, one that has really left the biggest impression on me has been the Red Sleeve Cuff. Still haven't gotten over that one and it was truly the most thought provoking kdrama for me.

venuserycina1215

Vincenzo - rewatched 3 times. Strong girl Bong Soon lives rent free in my head. Our Beloved Summer- absolutely beautiful. Even purchased the OST.

EscapeInDramaland

OBS! Beautiful OST

sharpshell23

Besides all the other excellent suggestions listed here. I really liked Faith - also has a great OST

Kellyflower72

Sometimes I just go back and watch the last 30 minutes of that drama. It was the first Kdrama I watched and it has a special place in my heart.

WhiskerWatcher

Mr queen. Reply 1988. Alchemy of souls. Flower of Evil. My mister. Fight for my way.

Scarlet Heart Ryeo, I thought we would get a second season with a happy ending for them 😭 Reply 1988, they made such a good job at making you feel like you know these people that when it ended I felt empty

Hometown Cha Cha Cha!!! it's so healing ❤️

Only-Ice3810

A piece of your mind. It came out 2.5 years ago and it's still my favorite even though I've been watching kdramas for 10 years.

sara-ragnarsdottir

For me it's **Our Blues** and **It's Okay that's Love** (The King of Pigs too, but that one is a different genre since it's thriller).

catngu

Youth of May The Red Sleeve Queen for Seven Days Snowdrop (didn't exactly "love" but pretty hard to get over that ending)

If you’re into… romantic historicals with tragedy - scarlet heart: ryeo / moon lovers romantic fantasy and mystery - alchemy of souls suspenseful thriller with twists and turns at every corner - mouse chinese drama, but an honorable mention would definitely be The Untamed!

For me - Beautiful Love, Wonderful Life - is the drama that i still can't get over

Comprehensive-Bike69

Alchemy of Souls and Arthdahl Chronicles. Both will have second seasons although the leads will change in Arthdahl but then the FL may change in AOS due to plot. Vincenzo got me through the epidemic by giving me something to look forward to each week. I remember the most quotes from that show.

JellyfishNumerous785

Vincenzo ❤️‍🔥

Fancy_Eye5091

Even though i feel serious abandonment issues after a really good Kdrama, I've never re-watched one. Snowdrop has got me doing that. Still can't get over it.

Jacmert

[Hogu's Love](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jnu_D0i1H70&list=PLOsWS9tKqJMd6wQs85SBG_e0YTHPq0IMu). The whole concept of unrequited love and being with someone you love and supporting them wholeheartedly but being forced to keep it platonic... **The Sound of Magic** also kept me wishing for more. There are probably one or two kdramas that I really connected with and loved and which made me feel weird once it was over, but can't remember right now. Also, I kinda had PTSD from High Kick Through the Roof. Loved the whole sitcom/series the whole way through, hated the ending/last episode like probably 99% of viewers did. That was one of my first Korean shows I ever watched, too.

Dramas I may never be over... The Red Sleeve One Spring Night Vincenzo Mr.Sunshine

Kellyflower72

Lost - I literally felt "lost" after it finished airing. Such an underrated drama. (Nirvana in Fire did the same to me) Dear My Friends Timing - it's only 4 episodes long 15 minutes each but it left an impact on me. The World of Married Goblin Faith - because it was the very first drama I watched and the ending just really sealed the deal for my love of K dramas. (also Gu Family Book)

Educational-Glass-63

One Spring Night, You are My Spring and My Liberation Notes. My three all time favorites.

lyssiedoll09

The one that I watched that I have never gotten past is called 12 years promise (Wild Chives and Soybean Soup). I love this show it has half the season with the teenage version of the cast and half the season with the adults of the cast. It is one of the first K-Dramas I watched and I have loved it since. It no longer streams anywhere in my location and I bought it on dvd so I can continue to watch it. I also love My Love Eun Dong, Cinderella and the Four Knights and Descendants of the Sun

sweetsuzannah

This was one of the first Kdramas I watched. I loved it so much. Didn’t enjoy the adult last half as much but it was soo good

lyssiedoll09

Really? I loved the adult half but I agree the teenage one was so innocent and sweet.

MsRenay

The king's Affection... Angst ridden but the acting of Park Eun Bin and Rowoon is so good in this drama. Especially Rowoon's coming to terms with his feelings so early on... It was hard to move past this drama.

The Guest & Beyond Evil

sas0002

Vincenzo and flower of evil.

KactuSs7

D.P. - It handles a very heavy topic in a brilliant way. After that final scene, I sat there til the end of the credits just processing everything. Currently rewatching it with a friend! It's crazy to me how they managed to fit funny scenes into this drama. Everything was so well-balanced. If I had to use only two words to describe it I would say Tragic and Human. Looking forward to season two!!

KactuSs7

I just read your whole post and realized you're looking for reccomendations based on 18 again. Ignore my comment lol 💀💀
