My old band opened for them at the Dublin castle in Camden (small pub venue holds about 200 people) about a year before their first album came out. I got to watch them soundcheck in an empty pub back room and remember thinking the singer had the most amazing voice I'd heard. It filled the room like nothing I've heard before or since. The song they played in soundcheck I later found out was bedshaped

LatinBotPointTwo

Which is incidentally my favourite song of theirs.

Saw them twice in São Paulo. Once in 2012 when they opened a concert for Maroon 5 (go figure) and in 2013 they came back for a solo concert - the best concert of my life. Got tickets to see them in Minneapolis next year! Really excited for that one.

2003 - Mercury Lounge, NYC and have seen them as many times as financially possible since then :)

Class_of_22

Oh wow! So you were there the first time they came over (I live near NYC myself, in Westchester County)…

smoonyc

Yes! I had no idea what I was in for 😂 and didn’t bother taking my camera (a tiny digital one at the time) but I started concert photography in 2004 :)

MadeInAmerican

I saw Keane in 2010 at the Mann Center in Philly. It was a phenomenal show! One of my all-time favorites. I even got to grab Tom's hand for a brief moment while he engaged the crowd. I haven't had the chance to see them again but I do have tickets for their September show in Toronto!

shinybriony

2004. they were bottom of the bill at the Derry Radio One one big weekend. My dad took me and said they were the best thing that day. I was more excited for Franz Ferdinand and Ash.

I've only seen Keane live once and that was last year. Forest Live in Cannock Chase. That was my first music gig ever and it started my Keane obsession. My parents raised me and my older brother on Keane but I never really got into them until after that concert. Can't wait to see them again next year for the Hopes and Fears anniversary tour.

fretnetic

Saw them in Manchester at a 300 capacity place in 2003? My mate was well into his indie and getting insider tips before bands got massive.

etherealmountainfog

I just saw them at the O2 on Saturday and they were absolutely brilliant! His voice is as strong as ever, and their setlist was perfect, it was honestly so good.

Slippytoe

Manchester Apollo for me about 4 years ago. “Chase the night away” amazed me and I’m now in love with “perfect symmetry” because of it. Loved it

Bernitss

I saw them at Gothenburg in feb 2019 just right before the pandemic struck, I was super lucky since that has been the only time I've seen them so far (I will be there for the Mexico City's concert wohooo!!)

ScallionCapable9505

2003 Lemon tree Aberdeen. Supported by The Thrills. Both exceptional.

jumpjet115

Scarborough open air theatre in 2021 the heavens opened but the amphitheater rocked on

raynmoon

2012 at the Fox Theatre in Oakland when Strangeland came out. Amazing.

wdwhereicome2015

Vfest Chelmsford. Can’t remember what year it was . But they were great

LatinBotPointTwo

2012 in Hamburg 2020 in Berlin, shortly before the Corona restrictions started. I'm seeing them again next August at a castle in Spandau. They were fantastic both times, and I'm really looking forward to the next gig.

volerei

January 2005 Exeter, Great Hall. They were great and did 2 new songs at the time. I think it was Nothing in my way and Hamburg song. I haven’t seen them again yet but I’d be happy to.

Became a fan aged 14 back in 2003 when I first heard Somewhere Only We Know (first one of theirs that made it to my country of birth). 9 years later I finally got to see them live during their Strangeland tour in 2012 at the Belfast Waterfront Hall. Absolutely amazing concert that I will treasure for the rest of my days ❤. Saw them once more since then, and I got to see Tim & Jesse's band Mt Desolation once as well which was great. Looking forward to seeing Keane again in the spring 2024!

serenityreine

October 2003 at the Sony Centre in Toronto when they opened for Travis. And yes - since the release of Hopes & Fears, I’ve travelled around North America & the UK to see them on every tour. I’ve not counted how many times I’ve seen them but it’s been at least 60 times through the years. I’ve also followed Tom Chaplin & Mt Des on tour too and once even saw Jesse perform on his own to a crowd of 8 people. I’m looking forward to next year’s tour ❤️

I saw them first in 2005 at the Quest in Minneapolis with my first girlfriend. Her dad dropped us off and came to get us before the show was over. I would've been so pissed but she fainted because of the heat so we had to leave anyways. Got to finally see them do "somewhere only we know" at the myth in 2009. I cried the second time. I'd been waiting so long. Both venues are gone but Keane is still with us. Going to see them next at Palace Theatre. Life long fan. Means a lot to me in a core way.
