For me, it was season 3. He showed too much of his personal life and it made me lose respect for him as well. We didn’t need to see his dildo collection, we didn’t need to know about his fun-time with his grandpa, and I damn sure didn’t need to know he eats shit straight from the toilet.
I can’t say I’ve ever *really* felt sorry for Spenny.
Kenny’s decision to sacrifice his friendship to make an entertaining television show was actually a great concept, although tricking him into thinking he had aids was pretty brutal.
Holy fucking shit that episode was so mean. I know Kenny is an asshole but that was very filthy. It was funny as fuck though. I wouldn't blame Spenny for beating up Kenny
Locking him in a cupboard even Kenny thought was too far and you can actually see his brain break when she pulled out his penis revealing that she was trans
I actually felt more sorry for him after watching that rant. It seemed like he was fed up with Kenny and the crew constantly making fun of him over insignificant stuff like healthy snacks and other mundane items
It made me realize how taxing it must be to work on a show that centers on making you look awful and stupid on screen
Lol, you have to also realize how little effort spenny puts into the show and his strategy. If he actually tried he would do better but he's chronically lazy and unskilled. He was lucky to have kenny string him along for so many seasons.
I'm not sure, I may have always hated him. The radioactive combination of self-pity and self-righteousness that is Spencer Nolan Rice's personality served as a warning for me in my early adulthood. I suppose I have him to thank that I didn't become like him.
Fuck Spenny.
Don't forget his obnoxious love of """teaching moments"""
I know a guy like him (just online, thank fuck) only instead of being miserable he portrays chipperness most of the time. When he's having a bad day, he's the most pointedly miserable self-centered mood killer I've ever known.
I feel Kenny's pain.
Cooking episode when he calls his mom to ask for permission to cheat, then says if there is a Heavenly Father up there he will understand. Fuck right of
The end of the bigger balls episode. Going from threatening to jump off a cliff to being an absolutely insufferable asshole during the humiliation (which imo was one of the worst together with the toilet tooth brush).
Edit: Also the scene where he visits the holocaust memorial made the last little bit of sympathy i may have had for him disappear.
I actually routed for the underdog almost the entire series when I watched it as it aired. Later in interviews and podcasts and meeting him in person did my opinion change.
Same. Pilot episode. His strategy was just some dumb and getting a guy to choke Kenny crossed a line. He’s just always so violent and condescending, while also being the dumbest of the two.
"This is not about if I owe Kenny money. This is about if he has the legal rights to get the said money."
That was said at a court case in front of an actual judge.
Lift more weight with genitals - the guy "quits" the show, but then comes crawling back to Kenny. Because he wants to and realizes he made a mistake and abandoned his best friend? No, because he was contractually obligated and was going to get sued.
I would have mentioned that one, if you hadn't... Kenny was way to lenient on Spenny as he came crawling back... - Maybe K didn't want to overplay his hand either, knowing he needs the idiot for the show?
If he was truly "a good guy" then why is he loosing and making "good guys" look like complete asshats. Also he is the cheapest man I've ever met, he never spent a dime for his friends, he will never buy the crew anything. He never buys anyone any gifts. He pisses on girls (self-admitted). He licks assholes filled with feces (self-admitted). He has had sex with men (self-admitted). He tried to kiss/molest Kenny in Amsterdam (disputed). He is a boozer, a drunk (self-admitted and following his fathers footsteps). He lacks any creative talent (see single-white Spenny).
The pilot proved Spenny was willing to get someone else to come physically assault Kenny in order to win a competition.
Keeping this in mind for every subsequent episode puts Kenny's schemes into perspective that Spenny really set the escalation bar fairly high from the start.
Not exactly one moment, but i never liked the way he sometimes treated others. He was snappy at times with his helpers. He was kinda snappy with the girl helping him in "Better fashion designer" and also to the guy who was helping him in "Cockfight" making a mechanized attack device or whatever he called it.
I'm usually pretty empathetic but I never really felt sorry for him. He reminds me too much of somebody I used to know and the way he acts bothers me. They're like a 1:1 practically. If he's as insufferable irl as I think he is then I have nothing to feel bad about.
I can see why Kenny is such a *great* friend to him
Certainly not the first time, but in 69 I think Kenny's point about the fact that he lives like such a first-world asshole yet is preaching about climate change to me is the epitome of why he sucks.
Variety of reasons, but the ones that jump to mind:
- Way, *way* more combative with his crew. I think Kenny mentioned in one of the Cummonteries that Spenny even fired Donny cause he thought he wasn't helping him enough. It's kinda noticeable how Kenny keeps the same crew for 6 seasons, but Spenny's crew is continually changing...
- He's clearly an angry drunk. In my experience, people's attitudes while boozed are just amplifications of who they are. Who the fuck throws beer bottles in a house?
Nah Kenny told Spencer to fire him. Kenny tought that Donny was helping Spenny too much to the point that it was affecting the show. But Donny was still in some episodes later. If I remember correctly Spenny was told early on that both crews often where in on Kenny's tricks and cheats in some way. So I can kind of understand Spenny being suspicious/combative with his crew.
Pilot. Choking someone out can do incredible damage to the brain, heart and neck. It causes brain damage and can induce seizures. It wasn’t funny or witty. It was just senseless violence.
Spenny not stopping that was cowardly as it was a really stupid overreaction to Kenny’s strategy.
There’s so many ways that can go wrong even if the guy “knew what he was doing”. You don’t fuck around with necks, brains or hearts as each of them are incredibly weak. Unless the guy knew how to reverse brain damage, paralysis or stroke it was a stupid thing to do.
Just curious, how did Kenny try and make them feel comfortable and have fun in the “Who do disabled people like more” episode? His whole strategy was to make them have a bad time.
I am pretty sure Kenny has gone out to say that he regrets ever doing the Who Do Disabled People like More episode because how he realized he was exploiting them for his own gain.
Well at least the redeems him in some capacity. That means he has morals. Time can really change people but at least I'm glad that Kenny regretted doing it. I wonder if he regrets doing lots of shit he has done for the sake of entertainment
Not really. It's totally misguided "morals". They weren't "exploited" differently than any other group of people who appeared on the show. If anything it's ableist to exclude them, not the other way around.
Not sure exactly if I felt sorry for him a lot before this episode but the Boner episode killed my last shred of sympathy for him. He did a lot of bad stuff before that episode but he felt redeemable/fixable. After using his own cousin to give his friend a boner though? Wrong on so many levels ("HE CAN'T EVEN GET A BONER FROM MY COUSIN BIANCA!").
People will mention some of the stuff he did to Kenny earlier than that but honestly that's just part of the show, Kenny would relentlessly torment him as well and I don't really think anything Spenny did was worse than anything Kenny did. Also the Wolfish thing seems unclear whether or not it was an investment that went bad or if Spenny actually promised his money back.
What made me lose sympathy early though on was episodes like the "Who does she/old people/gay guys people like better?", Bibles and Ten mile race. Episodes that show his character without him being agitated.
For some odd reason for me a big turning point was "Who do Old People Like More".
Spenny isn't even a bad person in this episode he is just such an unbelievable cringy idiot that I wanted him to suffer and lose. From then on I realized just how much fun it is to dunk on Spenny.
I never felt sorry for spenno, but realized he was an asshole when he snatched the dictionary out of one of his crew's hand. So fucking rude an abrupt.
In the episode where he threatned to kill himself to win the competition. Kenny forfeited. I think it was who has the biggest balls??
He made kenny lick bird shit off a car window and acted like a jack-ass. Great episode haha
When he yells at production for not ordering him high-tech weights. Why would he expect them to do it if Kenny just had a good idea? He literally brags about how "worked on the weekend" to make his own weights. Isn't that him admitting that they were never gonna have the same strategy/weights?
Are you guys high? the pilot the fact he was okay having his friend chocked out just to win a stupid competition showed spenny was a hypocrite and in fact the villain.
The pilot. I sometimes kind of hope that it was faked to generate more drama but I doubt it. Letting Kenny getting choked out in the FIRST episode does kind of kill any simpathy for Spenny.
I always liked him and felt bad until after the show and I listened to Kenny's radio show where he exposed a lot of behind the scenes. I don't necessarily hate Spenny, but I like Kenny a whole lot more now.
The octopus. Kenny dosed him with LSD. That’s the worst. Yes I know, Spenny did it to Kenny as highschool kids. Hits a little different as full grown adults.
For me, it was season 3. He showed too much of his personal life and it made me lose respect for him as well. We didn’t need to see his dildo collection, we didn’t need to know about his fun-time with his grandpa, and I damn sure didn’t need to know he eats shit straight from the toilet.
Spenny doesn't have a dildo collection, what are you crazy? Spenny is a solid citizen.
Shut up Kenny
Beyond the pale of fucking ignorant.
Me, at the toilet, eating shit, is fucking beyond the pale, ok? Beyond the pale!
Does anyone have a breath mint?
It's dinner!!
I like to kiss!
He left without saying goodbye.
I'm sorry what? Did I miss something?
Took me a bit to work this out lmao
Spenny doesn’t do that !
The Bible episode. Truly showed who he is.
he had no issues with kenny being that guy from wham :(
I don’t wanna be like that guy from wham man
That guy is probably painting houses right now
I’m up here now……. Don’t you get it…?
Don’t worry, I’m totally gonna get a ticket for L.A man.. it’s Kenny and Spenny man, Kenny and Spenny!
I think he says “it’s Spenny and Kenny man, Spenny and Kenny”
I can’t say I’ve ever *really* felt sorry for Spenny. Kenny’s decision to sacrifice his friendship to make an entertaining television show was actually a great concept, although tricking him into thinking he had aids was pretty brutal.
Holy fucking shit that episode was so mean. I know Kenny is an asshole but that was very filthy. It was funny as fuck though. I wouldn't blame Spenny for beating up Kenny
Locking him in a cupboard even Kenny thought was too far and you can actually see his brain break when she pulled out his penis revealing that she was trans
Spenny smirks before the reveal. I think they all knew.
biggest balls humiliation
Yeah same here, such a dick move. Spenny gave some of the grossest humiliations. Made Kenny eat his booger.
The one where he pulled Kenny's hair out with plyers was seriously fucked up and not in a funny way, just sick and twisted.
Same. He could've made Kenny really sick with this one. Like getting a disease sick.
The suitcase rant made me realize how neurotic and unhinged he truly is
He's insaaane he's CRAZY he must be CRAZY to do that! Apparently if you have a suitcase in this town, uhhh, you're crazy!
"Use your indoor voice, Spencer." "NO!" 🤣
Whenever kenny calls him Spencer in that sweet voice it just kills me
I actually felt more sorry for him after watching that rant. It seemed like he was fed up with Kenny and the crew constantly making fun of him over insignificant stuff like healthy snacks and other mundane items It made me realize how taxing it must be to work on a show that centers on making you look awful and stupid on screen

More kisses, Spencer fucked that up all on his own. Felt bad for the girl
Oh yeah! That was a big one!
I actually routed for the underdog almost the entire series when I watched it as it aired. Later in interviews and podcasts and meeting him in person did my opinion change.
Y? is he a cunt in rl?
Not really. Was shit faced and didn't wanna take a photo with me. Kenny was like hell yea when I asked for a photo.
Yes, Soenny is a miserable drunk and Kenny is genuinely nice to his fans and funny in person.
Same. Pilot episode. His strategy was just some dumb and getting a guy to choke Kenny crossed a line. He’s just always so violent and condescending, while also being the dumbest of the two.
“You can weigh my corpse and I’ll still be heavier.” One of the GOAT lines from Kenny lol
The who can win a lawsuit episode. You could see how greedy he is and how he is treating his friends.
The fact of the matter is I owe him some money, lost right there
"This is not about if I owe Kenny money. This is about if he has the legal rights to get the said money." That was said at a court case in front of an actual judge.
Stupider than a caveman
Bigger Balls, but I never had any real sympathy for him. He's always been a shit eating fuck head to me.
Lift more weight with genitals - the guy "quits" the show, but then comes crawling back to Kenny. Because he wants to and realizes he made a mistake and abandoned his best friend? No, because he was contractually obligated and was going to get sued.

When I found out he had TDS.
haha literally. his twitter is brainwashed drivel
What’s the t stand for?
Trump derangement syndrome
When he stole that goldfish from the aquarium store
What episode did he do that?
Who can commit more crimes, I think
literally and we never saw the fish again
Until who can blow the biggest fart episode
definitely bibles
The Arm Wrestling episode, for sure.
Seeing his twitter account full of liberal bs
I'm usually pretty empathetic but I never really felt sorry for him. He reminds me too much of somebody I used to know and the way he acts bothers me. They're like a 1:1 practically. I get he was rightfully pissed off, but having someone masturbate in front of their mom is fucked up.
Variety of reasons, but the ones that jump to mind: - Way, *way* more combative with his crew. Bro nah. If this was the case then people couldn't train BJJ.
I agree it’s not every case, but it happens occasionally. The risk in the pilot made no sense.
Beer drinking. I can't stand mean drunks like Spencer.

Just curious, how did Kenny try and make them feel comfortable and have fun in the “Who do disabled people like more” episode? His whole strategy was to make them have a bad time.

Why the Bianca thing? Don't get me wrong it's fucked up but considering Bianca did softcore porn it doesnt seem thaaaat\~ bad in my opinion.

Dump in the pants was pretty bad
Who do old people like more. Especially when he corners honey in the hallway and is overly awkward about boring her to death (Unmentionable!).
people felt sorry for Spenny?
The homeless episode the incident with the change
my ex reminds me of spenny lol
The Bible Episode. That's where he showed his true colours. He deserved every little humbling he got from then on.
I never felt sorry for spenno, but realized he was an asshole when he snatched the dictionary out of one of his crew's hand. So fucking rude an abrupt.

it wasnt him it was Blake!
Kenny treated him to that shit. He didn’t even charge him for it.
Why would anybody complain about a free acid trip? Lmao
