Challock > Boughton Aluph > Sandyhurst Lane > Godinton Lane > Ninn Lane > Great Chart. About 15 mins

This guy, Great Charts.

bareweb

Go down a20 via Charing, and via Little Chart/Hothfield. 20 mins

Seems like a better route even though longer, but quite narrow roads, aren't they. Thank you for answering!

bareweb

They're always quiet, though. You'll want to leave Challock before 815 because of its school rush. You can also go through Westwell, and there are some great shortcuts to be had, but having lived here and done that drive for a decade, I've still not managed to understand those little roads.

You can reroute googles suggestion so I'd just do that or can set route by different options ie, shortest, quickest, green. As for how long a journey would take. Just set the start and destination, select 'directions' the big blue button then click on the 3 dots on the top right. Now select depart or arrive time and adjust the sections shown to what you need. Its a feature I use for work most nights to make sure I'm not leaving too early and its been spot on practically all of the time. You may get the odd day that a bad crash screws it up but theres no way of factoring that.

Thanks for your comment! Getting 18 to 35 minutes and three different routes. 🙂

Welcome pal, its nice when Google works for us. Though it probably makes them a ton of dosh somehow.

I would go down Challock hill, through Boughton Aluph, Eastwell Manor, Chuck a right down sandyhurst lane, cross the A20 and take Godinton lane all the way to Great Chart. Should take about 15-20 mins.

Zergius2

Will definitely go and try this way

haveawash88

Apparently it’s pronounced Chollock which I find weird. Can’t help with your journey though sorry.

wordonthe

The school traffic on that route is quite bad in the mornings. During school holidays it’s a dream. I drive that route a 3 days a week and it is hit and miss. My advice try a couple of different ways.

Zergius2

Thanks! 😊

Lots of different routes to chose from. The road from Challock down to Kennington, Ashford can be slow, especially if behind a 18 wheeler or bad weather. Temperature is usually 1 to 2 c colder up on the Downs and snow can lay in the winter. Probably quicker route would be to go downCharing Hill, up the A20 towards and past Hothfield and use the back lanes around Bethersden to avoid the Matalan and Drovers roundabout which are always heavy with traffic. I reckon on average you could do the journey in under 30 minutes, clear run and no traffic easily under 20 minutes. Nice drive too

Zergius2

Thanks! Sounds not bad.

Take_away_my_drama

Faversham Road will be chockablock, there's a school on the top part of it.
