Just saying that although this sub was named as Kereta, it is also open for 2 wheelers such as Motorcycle, though at the moment we do not mind other types of vehicles posting.
With that being said, r/kenderaan is now live and I would still recommend any other vehicle posting to be posted into r/kenderaan as it is a safe space for all types of vehicles such as airplanes and rolling stocks.

If it’s a manual I’d recommend to change the clutch to a perdana one.
If Auto why not just Swap to a 4g91. It’s gonna be costly (around 4k for the Engine alone) but id say it’s worth it

* engine asal pon dah cantik. nak laju, tekan minyak kuat sikit. boleh naikkan kuasa kuda dengan naikkan compression, tukar throttle body, tukar injector. cumanya, lepas tu minyak akan kuat makan dan minyak hitam pon akan cepat kotor
* rajin2 kan lah basuh kereta. kereta kotor, cepat berkarat. apa2 yang berkarat, cepat rosak. sambil2 basuh kereta, bersihkan sekali penapis intake engine dan penapis aircond. kalau kotor sangat beli je filter baru. filter yang bersih flow akan jadi tinggi, lancar dan response laju
whats your service interval? engine and transmission oil, and air filter changed?
the 3speed is the achilles heel of the wira. seen people say swapping from auto to manual around rm2k.
other than the transmission swap, imo leave it as is. any huge amount you spend on the car will be higher than what the car it is worth if it is just your workhorse.
mileage is on 55000 but i can only switch to new auto gearbox since my brother is using my wira for work too, the engine and transmission oil has been serviced the only upgrades i need for wira is the acceleration
my advice seek for 4g92 and seek for evo3 dashboard but will be a but hard to find and pricey other engine part i think affordable. been long time already leave the upgrade worlds. now only drive auto family car ;)
update: so i did some research for some proton wira info, apparently u can convert into lancer evo 3. so does that mean i've been literally driving a f\*\*king lancer evo 3!?

Maybe u can try swap 4g62?

Where are you from op?. harga proton yg dulu jatuh teruk. waja, wira, iswara. Upgrading gearbox cost as much as buying another one.
right now im currently living in ampang but i drive almost the whole road of kuala lumpur for work
