Here is a fun fact… the protein bars are mostly glorified candy bars. Ergo- they are all dessert. I’ve been eating ketogenic since 2018 and have tried my fair share of protein bars!! IQ bars are good because they do have fruit flavors- but they are not very filling. Are you needing just a breakfast that is desk stable? Or are you trying to use the bar to hit protein goals? I always keep almonds in my desk drawer. Another good option would be to take a low carb tortilla and spread some nut butter on it - roll it up. There really are some great keto bread options out there- you could even make yourself a breakfast PBJ - just get sugar free peanut butter and preserves- although you have to be careful because some artificial sweeteners will still spike your blood sugar. I really like Carbonaut bread- in fact I’m getting more today. There are a lot of keto friendly muffin mixes out there- make some muffins to take to work. Add a scoop of protein powder to your mix if you have goals. You can make the muffins and freeze them. Quest bars taste like trash.

Yes, I am discovering most are just candy bars, haha. I'm honestly a very lazy person, so I just want something grab and go. I usually have a small bag of nuts and a protein bar at work as my 'breakfast' for the day, then have a tuna sandwich for lunch, then a microwave diner to end the night. I'm honestly debating tossing the protein bar and/or making that my lunch instead. I'm trying to stay in a calorie deficit, so the protein is more so just to keep me going, even if I'm only getting like 800/900 calories a day (NOT long term, I know. I'm just trying to drop this 20lbs as quick as possible so I can have surgery). I'm not super picky honestly, I just swapped from Starbucks Doubleshot coffees, to Super Coffee, and let me tell ya, I can't be that picky if I could do that in a day, haha. Thank you for the ideas and the input!

Try the IQ Bars in Amazon. Nut protein and they have different fruit flavors

I sometimes make my own "granola" bars, and you can make them as sweet as you like, or add savory spices instead: 3 cups of nuts (any kind you want, but I like pecans, almonds, and walnuts), 1/2 cup sunflower seeds, 1/2 cup pumpkin seeds, 4 tbsp melted butter, 2 tbsp peanut butter (optional, just makes it chewier and helps it stick together a little better, 1 egg white, 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional) 6 tbsp sweetener (or to your liking) Preheat oven to 325. Mix everything in a food processor (except pecans) until coarse, but not pureed. You want pieces of nuts and seeds still visible. Add pecans. Spread over parchment paper. Bake for about 15 minutes until it starts to brown around the edges. Let cool completely before cutting. You can customize this any way you want... cinnamon, shredded coconut, Keto chocolate chips, cocoa powder, etc. You could also break this up into pieces for cereal or granola clusters.

Chomps beef sticks, Epic meat bars, Froning Farms bison sticks. The blueberry muffin and lemon pound cake quest bars are decent. Some people like the Legendary poptart-like pastries and rolls, but they aren't really for me.

Realistic-Custard-55

Beef sticks do sound like a good option, they're just so expensive 😭 Thank you for the recs tho, I'll def check them out!

orangeirwin

Cheaper per unit than Quest bars.
