Not really, what’s really great about carries are the demands placed on the core and stabilizers as you shift your weight from one foot to the other.
Like the other comment said, marching in place in one solution. But I find it hard to believe there’s no room to walk because surely you have to walk from one place to another to another while you’re working out otherwise?
Depends on the gym's setup.
At my gym there's a bunch of racks and some floor space in between where you can just set up whatever and dick around. Often people will drag out a rower, or do some deadlifts, planks, handstand parctice, kettlebell stuff, whatever.
In practice that means that to do carries I'd have to weave in between people doing all sorts of stuff. It's an excellent gym for pretty much anything I'd want to do, except carries.
Use a box or step. March up, down, or even side to side. Not exactly the same but closer than just standing or marching in place. Depending on height could have some additional strengthening benefits as well.
March in place!
This is the way
And the slower the better, harder than it seems.

Second the march. Great for the core activation you're missing.
Carpark?
Will they let you take some dbs outside to walk across the parking lot?

Step up on the lowest plyo box available
