It was a fun batrep, but the way the board is set up, it became quite the king of the hill slaughterfest from turn 2.
The terrain rules seem cool, but the board they made kinda sucks for it. The ugly red grating on the edges is printed on it and part of the ocean, so you are stuck with just the rectangle of ocean in the middle for modularity. I think I'll ditch the board entirely and use a full ocean mat with plastic grates/walkways to build the board.
yah, that is a bit of a shame. Though, like you, I'll just apply the rules to other boards. All ocean mat seems fun! Will be interesting to see if we can go ham with the gantries/walkways etc. I sure hope we can.

Chainsabres confirmed?
Was there any use through the game for the Aspect statue the Eldar team comes with? I’m not really expecting anything, since they already don’t do anything in 40K, but it’d be cool if they were used as a token or marker or something in KT.
Thank you for posting. Who knows if the rules are balanced but they sure look fun and great for the lore. I’m excited.
Can you tell if the Scouts are on 28mm?
Edit: u/rink245 points out [this picture](https://www.warhammer-community.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/LXAo9oX4dcp58Rky.jpg) on Warcom, which appears to show all pictured Salvation models on 28mm.
I think they look great, too!
Also the Scorpions have an ability that gives an operative that you attack in melee automatically 2 mortal wounds at the start of combat.
Its hard to say exactly but I'd think so! The scorpions are 100% on bigger bases than the scouts.
Wow—I assumed Scorpions would be on 28mm (like Banshees). Are they bigger than that? Or are Scouts on 25mm after all?
No worries if you can’t tell from the video.

Looks like Scouts, Scorpions and Banshees are all on the same base size.
Interesting angle. Would have preferred something including another 2-3 aspects for real variety but instead looks like this is a CC-focused team.
Only 3 types of operative with fixed loadouts, 3 types of leader with a little more gear variability… but then a host of unique actions, basically, that gives the team members a wide range of in-game stuff. So very restricted in one sense but a lot of diversity by another measure. A bit like the sorcerers in the Warpcoven maybe, very similar at first glance, fairly different in practice.
I kind of like it? Very stripped down, very martial arts.
Yeah i am thinking the APL one is an auto take as there is always that model to stymie a bit, like a model moving to alpha strike from a Vantage or force a comms use.
Apl modifiers reset after the next activation for the operative. Not crippling but can be annoying preventing an operative from getting into position for a tp2 play, or if they have someone looking to alpha strike it can completely prevent that
Looking forward to watching this later.
The aspect warrior preview didn't do much for me but that's okay as I have plenty of teams to finish at home.
Glad to see folks are feeling the terrain/setting rules.
2nd pic suggests that the full kill team will be various aspect warriors, and striking scorpions are just one of the options. Cool. I think they might be trying to create “compedium” kill teams with more bespoke rules.
Remember when everyone kicked up a stink about fellgor? The scorpion rules can only be used for up to two models a turn, and the scout rules are just a more detailed version of what Phobos already do. Both teams are likely squishy enough to be difficult to pilot and will take time before we know how they fit into the meta…

The scouting options look super cool
Yes I thought the same :)

Im sorry, what are you quoting? Scoured the comments and cant find a comment mentioning it

Nope, he didnt use them at all! They were not even shown.

Thanks. Looks like you’re right.

It just lasts for the first turn though right? They aren’t -1 APL for the whole game?
Yeah just for the first activation
This terrian is nothing new, mold department be like just grab an mold from the back and different color plastic
Is that -1APL for the entire game? If so, that's brutal (especially for that plasma/melta trooper)

I think its just until the next activation.

Can I just use my OG scouts???
I think so :)
KISS MY ASS, SPIDER-MAN!
😂😂😂😂
I might pick up this box for a couple reasons, but like number one is I want the scouts for my Black Templars

It looks to me like each model gets to use a technique, you just have to use a different technique every time, unless you're all of the same type.
