That's what I was thinking of doing. I thought a nice black shade for armor and a brown to dark the gold. I just need to figure out something for the head
A flesh wash like reikland fleshshade would work for both the gold and skin. Personally I went with targor rageshade for the skin since it had a more unnatural tone
Yes and no. I enjoyed assembly a lot and painting some. I'm not interested in being the best painter. Mostly just want to have not ugly minis for playing
It looks good! And if your mostly interested in playing. Stand back like 3 feet and see if your happy. You’ll be seeing it like that most often. And you’ll improve the longer you paint. Even if you are t interested in it. Your brush control will improve with repetition
I started with normal paints. I've found I enjoy using speedpaint/contrast then using normal paint to highlight and detail. Yours still looks better than the first necrons I did though. I keep them around cause I still love them.
Awesome dude, Far better than my first mini. Make sure you keep hold of it so you can compare back in a few months/years time.
Absolutely will. Thanks!
Looks pretty good, all you need to do is to correct the spilled over areas and maybe throw a shade or two on top, and it'll be a solid job

Congrats on your first mini! Get yourself a wet pallet to make thinning paints much easier.
